You can always find someone, somewhere, who has a problem with any version of a software program even if things are fine for most users. I can only say that I've been running 7.7.2 (Linux version) on a Vortexbox with absolutely no issues. I've got a Touch, SB3 and a Radio.

You might try manually clearing the cache before rescanning. I'm a Linux user so can tell you where to find it on that system, but XP should also have one floating around somewhere. Deleting the old cache has periodically been necessary when I've upgraded SBS/LMS.

tries with two different external USB drives and never did get satisfactory results. If I'd bought the Touch solely for use in that capacity, I'd be very disappointed - that option is way too erratic for me. Maybe the word is touchy -- mlsstl

of listening, things are still very, very close for me. I think the Lavry is ever so subtly better, but it is in the territory where I have to really work at it to notice. So, in that sense, the analog output of the Touch is definitively superior to the SB3. -- mlsstl
