iMac on OSX 10.11.6 are all capable of the notes “upgrade” the OSX Notes app
continues to work fine on creating notes in icloud and moving notes to icloud

The advantage of iCloud syncing as I see it, is that you can have one ‘master’
computer where you download and store the originals photos, AS WELL AS storing
the full sized versions on the cloud. This enables Time Machine and Super Duper
to back up the photos if iCloud

I now have a reasonable degree of confidence that Photos has been sorted and
will now correctly sync with iCloud over four devices.
This has not been the easy process I had expected. I discovered

This solution was provided by Apple Support so it bares the least risk.
You might notice however that many Safari extensions disappear, so I'd
recommend making a list of them prior to proceeding with the above steps.

with the hope it might trigger some refresh signal, but I did not
toggle all the AutoFill items. After Reboot I attempted to Sign Out of iCloud,
but still got the alert message about “account couldn’t be removed”. Noted
that Keychain was still checked in the iCloud list.

Have you tried these steps?
1. Open Safari
2. Choose Safari->Preferences
3. Choose "Passwords"
4. Uncheck "AutoFill user names and passwords"
5. Choose "AutoFill"
6. Uncheck all items
7. Close Preferences
8. Close Safari
9. Reboot
10. Open System

I cannot sign out of iCloud on my iMac via Apple - Preferences - iCloud. I
get info message “Your iCloud account couldn’t be removed at this time. Turn
off all iCloud services and try again". The Keychain service cannot be
unchecked, which I assume is the cause.

The Home-Shared iCloud calendar is the default.
There are four calendars on iCloud: Work, Home-Shared, Calendar and Home, only
Home Shared is selected, the others have no entries.
There was an extra calendar named 'Calendar' on the MBP, I have deleted it. I

Just a very quick reply.
Make sure your iCloud Calendar is the Default Calendar Account.
And any other Calendars are under iCloud on your Macs.
