It's never happened.

First they were too busy coming up with excuses
for why no one has ever "flown" yet to change
the light bulb.

And then someone realized that "the world is too
dark right now for flying to fully manifest" was
the best excuse yet, so they've been sitting in
the dark ever since.

Sez Barry, getting sucked in again, as he has
been repeatedly since he claimed he wasn't
going to be.

(Does he really *count* the number of times
I've bashed him?? That's really pretty amazing.)

But see, the bash here wasn't really anything

When you try to bash somebody for something you
openly admit to just having done yourself, you
invite mockery, and you leave yourself with no
argument.

That wasn't my intention, as noted. But what
you're doing now just reinforces my original
point as to your inability to control yourself,
and your consequent hypocrisy in bashing Edg
for the same purported lack.

Plus which, there's no need for me to
"desperately scheme" to find things to bash
you about. I mean, you just handed me one!
(I'm not sure "desperately scheme to find"
even makes sense semantically, but we'll
let that go for now.)

You've been getting off easy the last
couple of weeks because I've been more
interested in political discussions with
folks who at least know a *little* about
what's going on (your ignorance on that
score is just too massive to bother with).

What is this preoccupation with positivity,
Barry? Seems as though it's some weird
hangover from your TM TB days. It isn't one
I share, sorry.

Just out of curiosity, though, what do you
think is the proper balance? I ask because, of
the 14 posts you've made so far this posting
period, 13 have been negative. What ratio
should one strive for, would you say?

The only week in which I've made only negative
posts was last week, actually.

Actually, how I feel when I come back depends
entirely on what I find here when I do. (What
any of it has to do with dreams, I'm not sure.)

You're right--jokes and ironies need significant
linguistic or contextual signals that can easily be
pointed to. If you haven't really done that and then
claim afterwards that we were all supposed to have
gotten it, or we're more stupefied than you are,
you'll come off as lame, disingenuous and

Boy, you found that post quick.

I do find contradictions like that funny hence the clip from
Fawlty Towers where the humour is derived from English uptightness
and nothing else, Basil had a brain injury you see and... ah well
maybe it was in poor taste...

Höjööh Rick,

my friend Peter from Sweden solved it for me:
You can post that , if you like

In my world there is a lot of people, each having their own view of what's
going on. I think it's built in, that we all have different opinions and
ideas. Of course someone thinks this or that, and some do anything to catch
others attention. Many people share common thoughts or beliefs, for instance
"someone is after me" / "someone wants to harm me". The government is "them"
or "they". Or the communists. Or, if it's a WW2-movie, "they" are the
Germans.

Of course the TM-guy is from secret service. It's an upsetting thought
confirming what you already know - the world is a conspiracy against you!
Therefore you don't need any proof, it's already proven.

And you are from Sweden. Without doubt. That's why you can't levitate.
Everyone knows Swedes can't levitate. So that's the truth!

When my kids came home from school, being upset with some class-mate that
said this or that, I used to ask them "OK, but what do you feel is the
thuth?". Then they looked inside and delivered an answer, upon which I said
"Then you know what is true". Let the others say whatever they say, that's
their freedom. They can't take away what you feel inside.

By the way, did you know Bush is an alien?

;-)

Med vänliga hälsningar
Peter...

More important, why does he so desperately
want to know guyfawkes' real identity?

Could it possibly be that, as GF suggested
about "Raja" Emanuel wanting to finish Hitler's
work, Joergie-boy has some *retribution* in mind
for GF? Possibly a camp somewhere, or legal action,
or at the very least being banned for life from
TM functions. (Not that the latter is likely
to bother GF, whoever he is.)

Can't have people poking fun at our leaders,
after all. Must punish.

THAT mindset is why satires like this one are so
necessary. THAT is what is wrong with the TM
movement.

Dear Joerg,
Please loosen your teutonic uptightness. This is
a joke; a funny; a who-ha. Don't they have those in

More posts like yours please, this group needs to lighten up, it gets
too heavy too easily.

There's a lot of untapped comic potential in the TMO and there are
hundreds of people out there who are desperate for a laugh but are
scared of what might happen to them or their kids if they tell their
own jokes. They lie awake at night terrified John Konhaus might come
after them with his lovingly polished thumb screws because they let
slip to someone over lunch that at heart they aren't extreme enough.

People live in fear and they need something to relieve the tension. We
have to make up jokes for them. It's a case of having an ample supply
of raw materials and a good demand for the finished product.

Enjoy

I doubt he has anything against him Joerg, GF just has
a sense of humour about your hilarious costumes, I'm sure
if you could take a step back and see all this "raja"
bullshit for what it is you would be laughing too.

My question to you Joerg is, why are you reading FFL? Is
monitoring this site something done by international
regularly? If so, why?

I'm hoping it's just because you like hearing about peoples
success on different spiritual paths, enjoy different
opinions and find healthy open debate refreshing. I'd hate
to think the TMO was so cultish it felt it had to monitor
potential dissent. Do let us know.

They were better with fires. :-) And it was the
Dominicans who tended to burn heretics, not the
Jesuits so much.

But in all seriousness, if there were a way to
actually determine whether it was true or not,
my money would be on Judy having spent several
lifetimes as an Inquisitor, rather than a victim
of their...uh...holy services.

Look at the tactics. Feeling threatened by anyone
who disputes the holy dogma, whether it be the Book
Of Maharishi or the Book Of Hillary. An intense
need to *discredit* the heretic in the eyes of
others. The need to get them to "confess their
sins." The tactics of language used.

It's all straight out of Bernardo Gui's 1323 Practica
Inquisitionis Heretice Pravitatis (Conduct of the
Inquisition into Heretical Wickedness). If you want
a slap-your-forehead moment of realization, scour
the Web and read a few excerpts from it, and then
compare the techniques being taught to those regularly
practiced by one Judith Stein. Here's one:

"Indeed it is all too difficult to get the
heretics to reveal themselves when they hide
their errors, instead of frankly confessing
them, or when reliable and adequate testimony
against them is lacking. In such a case all
kinds of problems confront the Inquisitor...
Laymen of staunch faith find it a scandalous
matter if an inquisitorial trial, once begun,
is abandoned for some kind of lack of method.
When they see the learned thus deceived by
common and vile persons, the faith of the
Faithful is to some degree weakened; for they
believe that we have at our disposal luminous
and certain arguments that cannot be refuted,
and that they expect us to be able to vanquish
[the heretics] in such a way that even a layman
  can clearly follow the arguments."

Here's another, a "dialogue" dreamed up in his
head by a madman, and proposed to others as an
example of how one embarrasses and destroys a
heretic with language. Read through it and see
if it doesn't sound a tad familiar:

http://www.cathar.info/121207_guiwaldensians.htm

I suspect such dialogues go through Judy's head
pretty much every moment that she is unable to
post on Fairfield Life. That's why she has so many
of them "stored up" when she reappears.

Oh, I think everyone understands perfectly,
Jude. What's "really crucial" to you is
bashing Barry. This post marks the 100th
such bash since I said I wasn't going to
be sucked into any more of your arguments
again. And I haven't been.

You, on the other hand, have gone more than
a little crazy, desperately scheming to find
some comment -- anything -- that will get me
to argue with you again. Won't work, honey.
It really isn't entertaining to argue with
someone you pity, and I'm really big on
"entertainment value" these days. You have
none. You're a one-trick pony, and most of
us got tired of the trick years ago.

I did notice that you *still* haven't man-
aged to post anything positive, however. How
many months is it now that that's been going
on? I think Tom's got a good point...if you
cannot help but come back from several
"days off" from FFL *still* full of anger
and bitterness and old grudges, what DO you
dream about?

Could it be...SATAN? :-)

Translation: Ooopsie, I really put my foot in it,
didn't I? Let's see now, how will I recoup? I know!
I'll give the etymology of "sarcasm" and pretend I
saw it all along! Nobody will ever notice that my
comment to Angela doesn't quite fit that scenario.
Will they? I mean, jeez, it's really crucial that
I bash Judy here to distract folks from Barry's
embarrassing hypocrisy, but I don't want to look
like a hypocrite myself... I dunno, but it's the
best I can come up with.

Oh, it was pure sarcasm alright sweet-cheeks.

sarcasm
ORIGIN mid 16th cent.: from French sarcasme, or via late Latin from late Greek
sarkasmos, from Greek sarkazein `tear flesh,' in late Greek `gnash the teeth,
speak
bitterly' (from sarx, sark- `flesh' ).

...'gnash teeth...'tear flesh...speak bitterly..yes, your sarcasm
is the purest, and noticed in the first place. Nice and light.
Re-cueing the tunes:
"Because a vision softly creeping,
Left its seeds while I was sleeping..."

RE: [FairfieldLife] Re: Breaking news : "Raja" Schiffgens identified as government agent

2008-05-04 Thread Angela Mailander
Strictly speaking, we all should have known that it
was a joke when the guy was referred to as "Raja" in
the first sentence and without quotation marks.
Reuters would have used only the guy's first and last
names.

I don't think serious damage was intended. If there
had been such intent, the joker wouldn't have given
the game away with the references to the newt and the
elves.

So Joerg should really lighten up a bit.

2008-05-04 Thread Rick Archer
Hi Rick,

nice discussion.
Good points raised.

But really:
Guy Fawkes Day is Nov 5th.
And Aprils Fools Day is April 1st.

So the guy sending this blame against
Raja Emanuel definitely has something
against him.

It would be nice to ask this "Guy Fawkes" to
identify himself and state his real intentions...

In Germany, blaming s.o. for working for the
secret service against good intentions of a group
is really serious damage. That was intended with this
post.

If someone like a politician would have thrown such an insult,
and didn`t have any proof, he would loose his job right away...

cheers

joerg.

Nah, it is from George as in, George and the Dragon. George comes from
Gheshowa which is from Jeshowa (Joshua, Jeshau, Jesus) which is from
JeShiwa, which is why Shiva stands on the demon-dog thingy in his dance
of Shiva, and St. George slays the Dragon in this ancient celtic
remnant of the slaying of ignorance concept embodied in the Dance of
Shiva statues.

That's the great advantage of Being in the Now, you
see. You can never be a hypocrite, because whatever

Your biggest problem is not hypocrisy but your persistent abuse of
other posters on this forum and also your repugnant racism. You
condemn others for racism but seem to think that racism is perfectly
OK as long as it is directed against whites. Below for example is a
snip from your post of a week or so ago (no. 175066). I don't think
that your explanation, "My lashing out is a set of words on message
boards" is much excuse for this kind of race hatred.

Edg Duveyoung writes:

Here's the real race card that BigMedia NEVER allows anyone to play:
that WHITES have proven themselves for over 200 years to be vicious
racists and predators throughout the world. With this history, if I
were Obama, I'd be saying, "Who would trust a white person in this
job? A white? You got to be kidding me. Give a bomb to a white, and
you've got the same situation that a white would say you have if you
get a watermelon near a black person, only in the case of the
watermelon, a goodly portion of blacks will not eat it, while it is
well known that a white will blow up anything as soon as possible."

. . .

Only a person of color can understand the downtrodden of the world,
because they will have experienced racism first hand. If you're a
typical white person, you just took offence at the last sentence, but
virtually every non-white person will agree with it. Barack may never
have poured white paint on himself, but it is absolutely certain that
he was subjected to barbaric racism all his life and knows the pain.
Only such an education can culture a heart that truly resonates with
the downtrodden. White folks can merely abstractly resonate, and when
push comes to shove, they vote for the money to go to white companies,
white profiteers, white anything.

Trust a white? Fuck off.

Edg is a putz, and I really don't want to spend
any more of my Sunday thinking about him, but I
just had to comment on the above.

Have you *ever* read such an ego-bound defense
of bad behavior in your entire life?

In Edgworld, exercising a modicum of control
over one's emotions is "ten zillion times worse"
that "getting triggered" and lashing out.

In other words, what it costs him *to* exercise
some modicum of control over his emotions is
ten zillion times more important in the cosmic
scheme of things than what it costs others to
endure his lashing out.

I'm sorry, but this is the mindset of the chronic
abuser, the kind of person who beats his wife and/
or kids and then expects them to forgive him,
because he was just being himself. They would under-
stand him and why he needs to lash out like this if
they were just evolved enough.

Guess not. For me the tip-off was in the first
sentence: "a small cult based in Holland."
The reality of that statement was perfectly
calculated to push the buttons of TM TBs, and
stopped me in my tracks. Then I looked up at
who had sent it, and smiled, knowing that I
was in for another guyfawkes day creation.

But Angela has a point. Didn't you guys ever
see Monty Python and the Holy Grail? Here is
the scene in question:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yp_l5ntikaU

All this talk about Reuters sounds like sour
grapes to me, from folks who got stung because
part of the TMO or not any more, part of them
still wants to believe that they were so impor-
tant that governmental agencies wanted to spy
on them. Not to mention do things to screw up
their grand plans for the world, as if they
weren't completely capable of doing that
themselves.

As the witch herself says at the end of the
Monty Python scene, "It's a fair cop." :-)

I heard today, that water-boarding was only the first step, in the

You know the US absorbed much of the information on torture, from the
Nazis who were practiced in the art of torture and other human

This was a very dark time in German history, and human history.
We are at a turning point, hopefully we can turn away from such animal

As far as an appropriate punishment, we can leave that to the 'Lords

You're hardly worth a post, but just to "go public" with my actual
performance, I knew the article was hinky by the end of the third
sentence. So I guess you're smarter than me for having gotten it
after only two sentences.

And, again, to all who are so unaware of those who are mentally

Whenever someone calls someone an idiot, they are using a scientific

understandable given the bizarre nature of the TMO todaysomething
which seems to have you as fooled as the article fooled some of us for
a few seconds.so whose the dumber? Me for a few seconds, or you
for the rest of your life? I'll take my limitations any day.

And finally, go take a header into a cesspool you ugly spirited prick,
cus, I did my time in the chair, and I'M A TMER more than you are
apparently, because at least I cultured my nervous system to nurture
and retain and expand my New Age values that had gotten me into TM in
the first place; while you seem to have found a way to look in the
mirror despite your "universally decried by FFLers" personalitytry
to find a single poster here who likes you and quote them about what
they think of your personality that you'd be "okay with." You'll
fail. I'd rather be an idiot in the official sense than be imprisoned
in your POV.

Fucking idiot. I'm a real TM'r and I knew it was fake in the first 2
sentences. But judging by the responses of the desperately slow anti-TM
crowd, THEY are the ones that believed it the longest (except for

By the time one gets to the end of the piece, it is painfully obvious
that we've been duped "just enough" to make the thing "real" to TMers
and grab them only to then dump them into their own pile of steaming
assumptions.

On April Fool's Day, this would have fooled no one, right?

I think satire has the right to use some dirty tricks like misusing
Reuters' name, but yeah, the writer is flirting with slander.

It was uncomfortable as a "gotcha" for me, because, well, "I was done
got" for a few sentences and had had my blood chemicals change with a
rush of "what on Earth can the movement do about this scandal?" So my
anti-TMO emotions were triggered, and I was petardized.

I didn't like it, but I bow to the achievement.

"Reuters 05-02-2008:23:05 by our staff reporter.

Today a small cult based in Holland founded by the Maharishi of
Beatles fame announced that its leader for Germany "Raja" Emanuel
Schiffgens has been identified as a government agent working for the
German secret service (BND). For many years the cult has been living
under the fear of infiltration by spies from the CIA and other
government agencies but it was always thought that the penetration was
limited to low level operatives."

This phrase tipped me off:

"penetration was limited to low level operatives."

The rumor I have heard dating back 30+ years is that a CIA operative at the
highest level
of the TMO outed themselves to MMY who appeared unconcerned at that time.
Certainly,
the security measures we went through during my Yogic FLying block seemed
designed by someone who actually had USED security measures in a real life
setting (speaking as a
former military person with an inactive NATO Secret clearance), so I realized
the second it
was "lowest level" that this was bogus. Besides, teh CIA/FBI would easily be
able to insert
someone into Raja status had they so desired.

Nice piece of satirical work. I checked the Reuters website to see
if this article was present in there. I could not find it. So, as
everyone suspects, your article is a piece of fiction. You got us

A good example of the impossibility of anyone continuing the
powerful TM and related transcending techniques while trying to
maintain a rigid egoic image of themselves-- IMO why many people
either become increasingly fundamentalist, bordering on craziness,
as a reaction against the ever expanding and encroaching
transcendence in their lives while continuing the techniques, waging
a desperate yet futile fight against the inevitable and strong tide
of disillusion, or quit doing TM altogether.
