CS>Does silver lodge in organs?
Hi all, It has been several years since I posted here. I have a Facebook friend who claims colloidal silver might be bad because it is foreign to the human body, and like mercury can lodge in the brain, silver can lodge in organs when taken internally. Is this true, or are there any studies talking about that or if it is dangerous somehow? -Ken Bagwell Sent from Yahoo Mail on Android

Been reading a little bit about biofilms lately, and how they might be a big part of the disease and injury puzzle, especially ones like diabetes, arthritis, and atherosclerosis or even just sinus infections. One can gradually increase the dose of the cayenne pepper until they get to a teaspoon, but start very low and see how much you can get down. This will be an intense experience and the honey makes it much more palatable. As far as a yellow tint to the EIS, it's not unusual. Some of my batches are crystal clear and some batches have a tint. I suspect it has something to do with whether I remember to rinse the jar with distilled water before starting another batch. Still usable and the tint will be more obvious as the ppm goes higher. Re: CSSweeteners , where to get XYLITOL
I've tried a few of the alternative natural sweeteners myself. Here's my take. Xylitol is great, but you must take a few weeks to build up your GI tolerance for it. It's not something you can start eating a lot of right away without GI issues possibly cropping up. You start at a few teaspoons per day in something you like to sweeten, and build up from there. Xylitol is probably the best crystalized sugar alternative I've tasted. Better than Stevia and no funny taste like Erythritol. It truly does look and taste like sugar, with a slight coolness to it (it's like it was in the refrigerator). Stevias I've tried are herby. Not like sugar. Agave nectar tastes just like light brown sugar syrup, no funny taste, and totally natural. I would say Agave is the best natural sweetener I've ever tried, although I haven't found a crytalized version (like white sugar) yet. Of all the alternatives to sugar, Xylitol and esp. Agave are the best ones, bar none. -Ken Bagwell From: sol sol...@sweetwaterhsa.com To: silver-list@eskimo.com Sent: Sat, February 27, 2010 12:04:21 PM Subject: Re: CSSweeteners , where to get XYLITOL Tel Tofflemire wrote: In Cooking Xylitol is one to one in a recipe that calls for sugar, and it tastes just like real sugar (without the fat left on your bones.) CSyour thoughts re dementia
Hi everyone, My uncle has recently been diagnosed by his doctor as having Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD). As usual, the doctors have no idea why he has it, and have no real therapies or cures for it. The most they can do is try to treat some of the early symptoms. He is only 56. Apparently, this is a rare form of dementia, and is under the umbrella of Alzheimers type diseases (with some differences). One of the main physical symptoms is a shrinking or atrophy of the front temporal lobe of the brain. Manifestations include a level of lethargy, depression, and difficulty with language. Memory, right now, is not so much an issue. Right now, I am making sure that my uncle does indeed have this problem by asking question of the doctors (the tests he had ,etc). I'm also looking into issues that can mimic the disease, although this will be difficult because this disease is rare. Financially speaking, my uncle has always been on the poor side, and his home is an old run down place in them middle of San Francisco's lower downtown. Because of this, I have considered whether it might be possible he has lead poisoning, with the old water piping and car traffic right outside. In addition, his mother recently died, and she too suffered with a more general form of dementia. It makes me wonder if it is something is happening in the house that is affecting their bodies. I want to ask if any of you have dealt with dementia issues in your family and how you dealt with it, or if you have any ideas on what else might be misdiagnosed as dementia. Best regards, -Ken Bagwell

Delegates were told that mothers who were given ten times the usual dose of vitamin D3 during pregnancy had their risk of premature birth reduced by half and had fewer small babies. .. Over the two and a half years of the study thousands of tests were made and monitored by an external safety committee. Not a single test showed any adverse effect of the large dose of vitamin D3. The average level of vitamin D in the women's blood increased by about 50 per cent. ... In addition, the normally recommended level of sun exposure does not produce enough vitamin D3, according to a separate study reported at the Bruges meeting. Sunlight is the major source of vitamin D3 and so advice on sun exposure is crucial for health. Food cannot supply more than 10% of what is needed. .. Previous studies have already shown that infants born to vitamin D deficient mothers may be at greater risk of low birth weight, lower respiratory tract infections, asthma, and weak bones. . However, of particular interest is that this study considered levels less than 20ng/ml to indicate insufficiency. Vitamin D experts agree that levels less that 50ng/ml should be considered insufficient. Had the study analyzed the results using levels of less than 50ng/ml as the definition of insufficiency the results would have been much worse. Holmes VA et al. Re: CSApples Fight Breast Cancer
Well, it is true that Americans loves to eat apples. It's probably the most popular fruit in America. Unfortunately, it's not helping cancer so much. We have very high cancer rates here. Most people don't eat 3 or 6 apples a day. and apples are always on the list of most pesticide-ridden fruits. One can always buy organic, but most of the population haven't gotten into that yet. It's also not mentioned if the peel was part of the extract. A lot of people like apples without the peel, but I think that is where significant benefits come from (flavanoids, etc). -Ken Bagwell From: Garnet gar...@grandecom.net Sent: Friday, September 25, 2009 10:35:30 AM Subject: CSApples Fight Breast Cancer from /Bottom Line's Daily Health News/ *Apples Fight Breast Cancer* An apple a day may not only keep the doctor away -- new research shows that it may specifically be helpful in protecting against breast cancer. At Cornell University's department of food science and Institute for Comparative and Environmental Toxicology, researchers randomly divided rats treated with a known mammary carcinogen into different groups, feeding them either low, middle or high doses of Red Delicious apple extracts (the equivalent of one, three and six apples a day in humans, respectively) or a control extract. Rats fed the strongest apple extract experienced the lowest cancer rate (40% developed cancer)... followed by the group fed middle-strength extract (43%)... and the lowest strength extract (59%). In comparison, 71% of those fed the apple-free control extract developed mammary cancer over the 24-week study period. The study appeared in the December 10, 2008, online edition of /Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry/. WHAT'S THE SECRET? According to researcher Rui Hai Liu, MD, PhD, associate professor of food science at Cornell University, the study demonstrated not only that apple extracts effectively inhibited the growth of mammary tumors in the rats but that the more administered, the greater the anticancer effect. Not only did animals treated with apple extract have fewer tumors overall, the tumors were smaller, less likely to be malignant and grew more slowly when compared with tumors in the untreated animals, he said. Why are apples so powerful against breast cancer, I wondered? Dr. Liu explained to me that apples are one of the best sources of phenolics and flavonoids, which are phytochemicals (bioactive compounds) that have powerful antioxidant and anti-proliferative (antigrowth) effects in the body. In two previous studies, Dr. Liu and his colleagues discovered that phytochemicals from apples effectively inhibited the growth of human breast cancer cells. In another study, Dr. Liu found that phytochemicals from apple peels inhibited an important inflammation pathway, NFkB, in human breast cancer cells, thereby reducing the proliferation of the cancer. Dr. Liu told me that although other fruits and vegetables also contain phenolics and flavonoids, apples are one of the best dietary sources of fruit phenolics. In fact, of the top 25 fruits consumed in the US, apples provide 33% of the phenolics that Americans consume annually. Americans love to eat apples, so it makes sense to encourage them as part of a balanced diet for optimal health, he said, adding that this doesn't mean anyone should forsake other fruits and vegetables. Re: CSFluoride
I feel kinda bad for dentists in a way. They are locked in a program where, unless they decide to shun their peers and their educators, must believe that fuoride actually does what the ADA and peers say it does. Think about this: I have, for years, taken for granted that milk is the best source for calcium, and a good source of protein. I've seen all the commercials and heard about calcium supplements and the like. I've grown up in a home where plain old grocery store milk was a staple. And even when that was told to me to be bad, I could buy the organic, cleaner ones But when I do research on the detractors, I think they may have very valid points that should make me reconsider if milk in any form is worth ingesting, even though I love the stuff. It wouldn't that painful for me to give up milk if I had to, or thought it might help improve my health. I actually can take the time out of a day and read more about milk anbd decide if I want to continue drinking it. But imagine a dentist whose whole education, training, and all his peers are similarly told and practice that fluoride is the big deal. What is his motivation to listen to any of his patients? He is the professional with all the training. He goes every few years to update his education, but only by the same types of people who taught him in the first place. Unless he is actually taking an assertive interest in reading about those who are against fluoride, and is willing to give it a fresh look, he will never understand someone like you who says I use natural fluroide-free toothpastes. He may be the professional, but they are your teeth. You don't know if he serously and deeply looks into the anti-fluoride camp's protests. He should. But you really don't know if he does. And let's assume he did. And let's assume that he started to think that fluoride was not all it's cracked up to be. What would he have to do, what would he have to change, in order to keep practicing like he is now? Would he make the same money? Would some of his patients leave because they too have been snookered into thinking that fluoride is all that? Would his accreditors be asking him serious questions or making veiled threats to his licensing? The truth is, you cannot put too much trust in any professional. You have to educate yourself these days, and you have to be your own advocate. If one of them tries to tell you that such and such is good, and you are pretty sure it isn't, or are suspicious, you just have to tell them how you feel about it. If they can't deal with your opinion or the facts you present, you just have to move along. -Ken Bagwell Pat pattycake29...@yahoo.com wrote: Carlos said, By the way, has anyone noticed that dental caries problems have not gotten any better since the beginning of the fluor craze, Last week the dentist asked what kind of toothpaste I'd been using because I have a sore place on the upper gum that has been there for 3 months. The philosophies of those who disapprove of milk will extend from those who believe humans shouldnt drink milk after infancy (and only human milk at that) to those who are only concerned with milk coming from unhealthy cows. My own children have been raised on fresh, unpasteurized milk from healthy, unmedicated goats. Yet I acknowledge the fact that humans have enjoyed and benefited from fresh cows milk for many, many centuries of human history. My alarm over milk centers on the fact that, if a cow is highly medicated, unhealthy and unhappy, its milk cannot be good. I have never heard that the calcium is almost impossible to digest. To the contrary, I remember reading studies in the past about calcium sources where people increased their bone density by drinking milk (but mainly it was usually focused on other things like calcium supplements or drugs) The homogenization process alters the fabric of milk and decreases its digestibility. The compression of the milk fat into tiny globules introduces something into the body that it is unfamiliar with and not designed to metabolize. People with very good digestion will have better success with it than those who dont. Over the long haul, it will cost the body more than it will benefit it. The milk industry has many studies to support their agenda. The pharmaceutical industry does the same about their drugs. You must decide whom you will trust. For myself, I tend to assume that food and medicine was better before man improved on them, that nature offered us what we needed, that what occurs naturally and spontaneously on our planet is what our bodies need. I know that milk pasteurization started at that time. Could that be a reason? I am oversimplifying it, but what happened in the early 1900s was commercial farming techniques (put only 3 minerals back in the soil after harvest), plus the increasing use of chemical fertilizers and insecticides. Add to that the wholesale stampede to a high-grain diet (and processed grains at that), plus the increasing replacement of actual food with processed, chemicalized, synthetic food products and you have a recipe for the demise of public health. I could list other important factors fast food, vaccinations, flouride, etc., but you get the idea. Smitty said, I have read that pasteurized milk is BAD for a person's body. Maybe Terry can expound on this. First you take milk from an unhealthy cow that is made to stand in a tiny enclosure her whole life and eat a diet that the cow is not designed to eat. She is not allowed to ever see the sun or get any exercise, and everything she eats or drinks is full of chemicals that are designed to increase her milk production at any cost to her health. (Plus antibiotics to try to keep her from getting sick in this very unhealthy environment.) Then you take this unhealthy milk-like substance and you put it in a pressure cooker (to keep the milk from boiling or curdling) and heat it up to 500 degrees. This is called pasteurization. I can only guess what ultra-pasteurization is. Then you force the milk through a sieve with very tiny holes in it, so tiny that only high pressure can get the milk to go through. This compresses the milk fat and the milk protein together into tiny little balls of compressed milk. The milk fat no longer rises to the top of the container. This is called homogenization. This finished milk-like product is not only very difficult to digest, there is strong evidence that these plastic-like milk balls accumulate in various locations in our bodies. The calcium that is locked inside of these milk-balls is almost entirely indigestible. Re: CS5 year old child bad chesty cough..help
N.A.C. (N-Acetyl-Cystein), in a nebulized form, can be obtained with or without a doctor's prescription. Use with a good quality nebulizer. If you don'thave access to a nebulizer, you can also try the oral form, by reducing dosage by perhaps 1/4 for a 5 year old (perhaps 100mg or so, most capsules contain 500 or 600mg each by default). NAC is known to be extremely helpful to the lungs. I forget the exact mechanism, but I believe it was thought to break up mucous. In any case, it supposedly works very well, asthmatics used to use it until the brochodialotors came around and they figured that asthma was basically brocho-contriction, rather than mucous build-up. Also, give her extra high dose of vitamin C (perhaps 1 or 2 grams twice a day), selenium (perhaps 50 micrograms once a day, as selenomethionine or monomethionine, NOT selenite version), and vitamin E (perhaps 50-100 IU of natural E, as d-alpha tocopherol, NOT dl-alpha, once a day). I'm mentioning these particular vitamins, because of this... http://www.asthmaworld.org/SeGluPer.htm If that wasn;t enough, high doses of GSE (grapefruit seed extract, NOT grape seed) has helped my wife about 3 times over bronchitis that followed colds in about 3 days. She had to take about 2-3 capsules (they held about 37 drops each) of liquid a day to do it. For a child, I suspect 20 might be an equivalent. You could divide that up into 2 doses a day, at 10 drops, by just mixing it with a glass of orange juice. I would suggest trying only 1 of these 3 ideas at a time. Terry, is it possible that your sickness was due to something that is not organic (that is, killable)? -Ken Bagwell V vzo...@yahoo.com wrote: Well I have run into that situation also in the past. and there are times where your body just does a house cleaning and it feels like you are sick but you are not so none of the things that normally kill pathogens wont work becaues there are no pathogens. your body is just cleaning out toxins and it feels the same way as when you are sick because the process is the same. All you can do is assist it in the cleanout and stick it out. You might try things like enemas and drinking lots of ozonated water, and also bounce on a mini tarmpoline to get the lymph system moving faster to remove the toxins. thats my opinion on the situation anyway. V Terry Chamberlin wrote: Well, here is a posting I never thought Id write. Recently, my 14-year old daughter started getting sick. She had a cough and sore throat. I kept her home from school and plied her with Colloidal Silver all day, confident that she would be fine shortly. She kept saying, Gosh, Dad, I hope I dont give this to you. I confidently said, Huh! With all the CS I drink every day? Forget it! I drink about a quart per day of CS, 16 oz at the very least. My daughter kept getting sicker and sicker, missing more and more school. I put her on a nebulizer, and she spent hours inhaling CS with H2O2 added. No improvement, just got worse. About the fifth day of her sickness, I started to get sick. I really guzzled the CS and used the nebulizer. Got sicker. In two days, my voice was gone, my throat hurt, had a fever, clogged sinuses, lungs full of phlegm, weak as a kitten. I got out my 6-volt battery, hooked it to two x 6 long TENS unit electrodes that have a sticky surface. I stuck them to the front and back of my throat, ran them all morning, then attached them to front and back of my abdomen, ran them all afternoon. Switched to my Beck Blood Purifier, ran that on my throat all day. Used my Beck Magnetic Pulser (which has always worked wonderfully in the past). No improvement. None of this had any affect that I could see, except that I just got worse and worse. Friday night went to bed early and slept for 14 hours. Was a bit better the next day. This has shaken my confidence. Yes, I believe that CS is very beneficial for everyone not allergic to silver. Yes, I believe it is safe, and no, I dont believe anyone can get argyria from crystal clear CS, no matter how much they drink. But the question still remains: Why did I get sick? Why did the CS not protect me? Why did my sickness keep getting worse despite the copious quantities I drank? Why didnt the bioelectrical devices give any benefit? People have asked me, Wont your body become dependent and unable to protect itself in a normal way if it is accustomed to CS doing it? I have always responded, No, not any more than if I take Vit C or A or any other nutrient that is known to help the body fight infection. But I havent used CS like I do Vit C or A. I take Vit C and A on a nearly daily basis, but I dont take megadoses of them, and I dont always take them everyday (though I have no problem with that idea). Ive found several doctors who believe that silver is an essential nutrient that our bodies NEED, like iron or selenium. But the amount of silver needed by our bodies is probably similar to the amount needed of various trace minerals a little bit, but not a lot. This has caused me to look closer at how much I take. Actually, now I am afraid to cut back on my CS too quickly, lest I get sick again. But I am going to gradually decrease my dose until I reach 2 3 oz/day. I had a severe case of Hepatitis in my 30s. Since that time, my liver was always tender and hard and ached. About 10 years ago, I began taking a small amount of electro colloidal silver daily. My liver stopped hurting in about 3 months. My lifelong tinea pedis went away. I do not get colds or flu. I spray it on small burns and cuts, and they heal very quickly, with minimal scarring. I have researched medical databases for about 10 years, looking for evidence of toxicity. The head of the Life Sciences department of Johns Hopkins University says that the toxic dose of pure Ag is about 1 bathtub full of 10 mg/L silver; about 30 gallons, per day. I have seen several severe respiratory infections, bacterial, viral, and fungal respectively cured in a couple of days with CS nebulized in O2. You must be thinking of your own policies when you suggest that the owner of the Silver List will forbid information that does not agree with his beliefs, of that does not further his personal agenda. No one there---and that includes many medical professionals---would tolerate that. What he does not accept is threats from some self-ordained expert who is offended by colorful language and has a business agenda to defend. If you have data demonstrating Ag toxicity, please present it...or not as you choose. Selecting obscure and possibly dated sources and selectively quoting from them does not meet my criteria for evidence. If you have the data, why are you withholding it and telling me to go to the library? In my opinion, you are either a shill for the Pharmacrooks, or a woefully ignorant person who is making money from those even more ignorant than yourself. Kleenex (facial tissue) leaves a LOT of lint that always seems to contaminate the next batch. Paper towel seems like overkill and wasteful. Napkins, however, seem just robust enough and don't leave any lint. The positive electrode does not need to be rubbed so hard it ends up shiny, if all you're doing is wiping it down with a napkin. The dark color is microscopic surface roughness that actually helps speed production later. However, as long as you don't contaminate things, any of these methods will be okay. Linus Pauling, two-time Nobel laureate and Ph.D., had a few words when it came to cholesterol and heart disease. As you may remember from Mike Ciells paper * One Pharmacists View of Coronary Heart Disease, * Mike compares Paulings Unified Theory with the cholesterol-fixated Lipid Theory. Pauling, in conjunction with Dr. Matthias Rath, suggested that plaque (sticky cholesterol) does not form randomly in the bloodstream. Pauling and Rath proposed that nutritional deficiency was the cause for stress, tears and cracks in human blood vessels and this deficiency makes way for plaque to come to the rescue. Pauling and Rath identified three deficient nutrients: vitamin C, L-lysine, and L-proline. They found that these critical nutrients could actually heal blood vessels, improve blood flow, and reduce cholesterol plaques (blockages). Not a small feat for a relatively cheap combo of these totally awesome nutrients! And, our *Heart Plus * provides /all three/ of these important nutrients in one handy formula. Spherical nanoparticles absorbed in the blue region of the spectrum, for example, Yacaman said. ## So, color isn't 'entirely' about size, but is something much more complex especially when shapes of impure crystals can vary in a fractal pattern according to the nucleating particle center that the crystal grows upon. Yes, this is known, and covered in some of the references I have posted in the past. Basically a silver particle is like a small antenna, and will have a resonant frequency. Light at the resonant frequency will be absorbed, and as the particle increases in size, then the resonant frequency decreases (resonant frequency will be 4 times the length of time it takes for electricity to travel from one margin of the crystal to another, just like with a 1/4 wavelength antenna), moving the absorption band from uv, to violet, blue, green, yellow, orange, red, and infrared as the crystal grows larger. The apparent color is of course the complement of the absorbed color. Now if you make an antenna in the shape of a snowflake, you will have a myriad of resonances, some low frequency across the whole flake, but others within the center, arms and areas at the end of the arms, each having their own resonances, and these will all be much higher resonances than the one across the whole thing. Exactly the same thing happens with silver crystals, except the frequencies are not in the radio range, but the light ranges. The physics is actually quite well understood, although computing all the resonances for an irregular shape becomes difficult if not impossible. Re: CSmicrowave dangers
Terry, I received this email yesterday. What do you think? - Sorry, but as far as I can tell it is 'study', singular, and it was apparently not peer reviewed. If there were corroborating studies then wouldn't you think they would be linked at mercola.com? Because they aren't linked, I think I am safe in declaring that there are no supporting studies. This whole silliness came from one man, Tom Valentine. He is widely known as a flake and totally unreliable source of all sorts of unprovable claims. As a matter of fact he has now been forced on his website to admit that there are no clinical studies that support this single Swiss 'study'. The internet is a large place these days, doesn't it strike you as strange that when you google for the subject you only come up with this one 'study'? Also, now that international communication is the norm these 'microwave ovens are dangerous' folks no longer push the lie that the Soviet Union outlawed microwave ovens because of the health risks. My question to you is why are you ready to believe and actively promote something like this with absolutely no evidence but what amounts to one man's opinion? -- -Ken Bagwell --- Terry Chamberlin tcj...@yahoo.ca wrote: On the microwave oven topic, some have said this, some have said that, but it seemed to me that we should look at any legitimate research, rather than conjecture. On the second website, this claim was criticised with the statement, The incident did happen, but a jury found that Norma Levitt was killed by a blood clot, not by blood heated in a microwave. Im confused. How did they suppose this blood clot was formed? Could it be that microwaving the blood created a blood clot? I do not find that hard to believe. Dr. Mercola (above sites) seems to accept the idea of microwaves being unhealthy. The information in the articles on his website seem to make a very strong scientific case. I would be very interested in the outcome of an experiment using microwaved water with plants. __ Find your next car at http://autos.yahoo.ca -- The Silver List is a moderated forum for discussing Colloidal Silver. If I should stand away from a microwave to avoid possible leakage, why would I eat microwaved food? * If you build a solar cooker using a large lens to focus the sunlight onto the beaker of water you want to boil, does the molecular structure change? The only difference is the frequency of the 'radiation'. Current thinking expresses all electromagnetic radiation as streams of photons (energy packets) traveling along their merry way at the speed of light in a wave pattern and all at a certain energy level. The only difference between radio, visible light and gamma 'rays' is the energy level of the photons. Lower energy (radio) photons exhibit a wave-like property while high energy (light) behave more like particles. Does cooking food in the common toaster oven type device cause a molecular change? The heating element you see when you look through the door glass is emitting photons in the near infrared range. That is the red glow you see. These photons are the same as from a microwave only at a HIGHER energy level. Is it not logical to think they would have a greater molecular impact than the relatively lower energy microwaves? Why then isn't anyone yelling from the rooftops to stop cooking your food in *all* electrical appliances? As to shipboard radars affecting the ocean water...come on! The average power of these radars doesn't even compare to the amount of sun(light) energy falling on a couple square meters of ocean. Along the equator the average amount of energy is in the neighborhood of 300 watts per square meter. A radar I've worked on that is typical of navigation radars generated a 1500 watt 'signal'. However, these radars aren't continuous wave like your microwave oven, they are pulsed. 'My' radar had a 1 usec (microsecond) pulse width and pulsed at a rate of 3000 pulses per second. So the average power into the air in 1 second would be ((1500/1,000,000)*3000) = 45 watts! Physics says that this radar pulse (and all electromagnetic energy) is subject to something called the Inverse Square Law. What this means is that if the power density measured at 1 foot is 1 watt/cm, at 2 feet it would be .25watt/cm and at 100 feet it would be .0001watt/cm (P=1/D^2) Everytime you double the distance you see a subsequent decrease in power density of 1/4th. Shine a flashlight on your hand then on the wall across the room and you will see this 'law' in action. Not a lot of this radar signal hits the water does it...especially in light of the 150-300 watts of sunlight per square meter of ocean surface. Let's assume there is some sort of effect on water when the radar beam strikes it. When the radar signal had passed and the sun shone on the water wouldn't the effect be erased or at least 'normalized' with the remainder of the water in that area? A question that comes to mind about sunlight on water: What we perceive as white light actually consists of a spectrum of different frequencies. Why doesn't this cause a real mess in the molecular structure of the water? At least the microwave only emits a single frequency not the myriad of frequencies of sunlight. As to your questions above: Microwaves do not cause ionization which is what you describe. As a matter of fact everything from radio through ultraviolet light is known as non-ionizing radiation. X-rays and above are of high enough energy to cause ionization. The reason you should stand away from a microwave oven is it may cause your pacemaker to malfunction or if your oven leaks around the door seal you could suffer some of the effects as your burrito...cooking! Not good for the eyes I would imagine. Regards, George -- The Silver List is a moderated forum for discussing Colloidal Silver. Re: CSMICROWAVING
I am also on the fence about microwaving. Just to be safer, I try to use it as little as often, lower power settings, and stay at least a few feet away from it, just in case. But yes, cooking even stovetop changes protein structure to make the protein harder to digest. But that's the trade off for sanitation via heat. However, I will be reading Nenah's link about nukers at lunchtime. When I last looked up info about microwaving, there really was not much studies done on this, I don't think. Most sites referenced one researcher type who did a study comparing raw, conventional cooked and microwave cooked, but I'm not necessarily convinced by one person's study.
