You can do stateful filtering with the fw feature set. Cisco calls it CBAC
(Context-Based Access Control). CBAC works for TCP and UDP traffic. ICMP
must be filtered with traditional ACL's as I don't think it's supported with
CBAC.
I'm glad that you resolved the problem. Policy routing can be a very
powerful tool and it overrides limitations of not being able to use static
routes. You should take the time to review all of the possibilities
availble with policy routing. Of course, don't forget that if you want to

I just purchased a Cat 2900XL for my CCNP lab and am having some problems
with it. I configured a VLAN, let's call it VLAN 60. I assigned some ports
to VLAN 60.
I did a no shutdown on int vlan 60 and when I do a show int it still shows
it as admin down. I check the config and it does

and multicasting packets on the serial interfaces incase you want
packet-by-packet distribution on both the connections to your ISP.

That was a real network.
Because I had faild to got particular alternatives,
the Users cann't get Internet Service for several Web site.
I think the problem maybe having an issue with mtu and fragmentation .
So, How about that we approach the problem at that Point ?
