Most of you are aware that the famous migrant trap, the Last Chance Oasis,
suffered from the June 2012 wildfire. Last November birders joined local
folks and held a clean-up day
there to show our appreciation for the generous and open access we have
enjoyed for decades at
Cheryl Teuton phoned to report that this great (though Little) gull, was
seen again
at dusk by her, Dan Brooke, Duane Nelson and Stan Oswald.

Several of us looked around Cherry Creek SP and some of the shorebirds that
were present yesterday - Hudsonian Godwit, Willets, Semipalmated Plover were
AWOL.
I am not sure if anyone checked the swim beach or NE corner, so if you are
going over there, that might be a good place to start.

Larry Modesitt and I enjoyed a cooperative singing male Blackpoll Warbler
and a singing male American Redstart with the first 50 - 100 yards of the
trail
that goes north from the Prairie Loop observation deck at Cherry Creek
Reservoir
in Arapahoe County. We were hoping that those were harbingers of
Mark Peterson just phoned me to report a Ruby-throated Hummingbird
at Last Chance, along with a Magnolia Warbler and 2 American Redstarts.

large flock of White-faced Ibis that Mlodinow and others reported this

was still in Beebe Draw (Weld County Road 42, near Road 45), and 2 Glossy
