Sorry, I was confused. I assume that the Transporter in Digital out mode
will sound the same as the SB3, except you'll have support for 24/96
FLAC etc.
If there both using the same DAC there will be no sound difference, all
they are doing is sending the same digital data to the DAC.

in fact DAC's as the signal remains digital until outputting to
speakers.
The Slimdevices products are, IMO, easier to use in terms of seeing
what tracks are playing, managing playlists etc.

have connected my Duet through coax digital output with the external
DAC. External DAC is always powered on but it is normally in stand-by
if there is no signal from the source. When I put my Duet Receiver in

Same here, Duet seems to turn itself on everyday, SB3 is fine. Started
happening when I changed wireless hub from a BTHome hub version 1 to a
version 2.

Just for testing, can you try disabling any WEP/WPA security on the
router? There have been a number of issues where it appears the SB is
connected, and the only problem is DHCP, but in fact there's an
encryption problem.

I've found that I can select some albums to play (using either Winamp
or Mediaportal), and after closing and restarting the player the
selected albums restart. However, if I then select random play and

If you have your music folder in squeezecenter set to the same location
itunes uses then you can also browse to the folder itunes just created
for your new music. this will add that music to squeezecenter database.

It's happened to me a couple of times. I just turn the SB controller
off from the advanced settings menu, and then restart. Seems to solve
the problem.

To recap, Now Playing on on the controller doesn't refresh to show
changes when new songs are added or deleted. Restarting the controller
corrects the data. Any ideas on fixes???
