One day this cycle will improve. The twenty meter frequency was
popular. I had to move twice before I could start the net. I thought
the lull in solar activity would provide a window of better
propagation.

Level is controlled by the MON in CW (hold CMP/PWR). Frequency is
controlled by "Pitch" (Hold SPOT).

I scanned twenty meters just before the net to check propagation.
It was wall to wall. When I scanned forty I found no one else. I was
not sure there would be a single check in. I was wrong. Forty meters
worked. It had QSB and noise, but there were some signals.
The forty meter net will start after the WPX contest at z Monday
or 5:00 PM PDT Sunday on, or near, 7047 kHz.

of CW over about 33 wpm. But when the K3 has to shift frequency between
TX and RX (that is, when RIT/XIT or SPLIT is on, this is automatically

There were a few clear nights this week, cold with many stars. The
days have been shades of gray. It is hard to tell the time of day from
the sun. Some rain, ranging from heavy to a mist or dense fog. You can
smell next year's soil decomposing.
The sun has perked up.

A few months ago I cleaned out my weight room and added a
workbench. I use it to rebuild my computers. I moved one of the
servers in too. That keeps the room and the weights warm. I no longer
have to wear gloves to lift in the winter. Now, to get the other two
servers
