First, my brother decided to fix the AC on his SDL for a trip AFTER
scheduling hand surgery on Thursday, so I spent the weekend pulling
the compressor off my wrecked 300D and installing it on his car.

Evaporator tempurature sensor? It unplugs from the main loom remove
from the sensor, which fits into the box itself. The plug fits into
a clip on the side of the box, you have to unclip to remove. The
sensor is in a plastic holder that snaps into the side of the heater
box. It will have

chain case -- enough oil in there, it hydrolocks and bends #1. Not
fun, and my brother just escaped this fate recently when an exhaust
stud broke and we ended up taking the head off his SDL to fix it --
oil leaking into #1.
Your local truck MercedesBenz engine shop (combined with Detroit Diesel) might
have the plate to pressure test the head. Call them.

auto-adjust for daylight savings time.
This could be an issue with your machine or with Kaleb's machine & is most

head and block look good. It was very oily between #1 and the chain
vault. Both sides of the gasket were wet and so were the head and
block. There is one photo

I don't think a W123 is abnormally difficult. Just remember, if it's a
1976 it might be a W115, and those are incredibly time consuming to replace.

There is a nice 123 diesel on ebay that appears to be selling cheap. One
reason is probably because the blower motor is not working. How much of a
project is that? What does it cost - parts and labor (if I don't do it).
