I urpmied koffice in my quest for a pdf translation method. it installed ok so
it seems but when i try to start it via the icon i see it staring up on the
task bar and nothing more happens. if I try from the shell this is the result

In my last post, I said that I had got spell checking to work with KWord, but
it wouldn't differentiate between British and American spellings.
I have found a work-around which appears to work.

I spend more time in Staroffice5.2 simply because I take my documents back to Word.
Kwork imports just fine and works quite well. But, the limited 'Save As' options
leaves me hanging when I want to take a document back to the office.

I have been able to import the TimesNewRoman font using the mandrake font
utitily (kudos to Mandrake for DrakConf).
I am able to use this font to compose a Kword document. However, I am not
