get a copy of the 650Mb ISOs. I did however get 700Mb disks burned for
me by someone else which works on my system. But none of my cd-burners

Since you mentioned OE, with OE that came with IE6.0 I had sudden problems
which I finally tracked down to anti-virus. Since then I had to turn off
email scanning in anti-virus console and I can use OE again. Probably
doesn't apply to you, since my symptoms were quite different. Just a

I have installed two days ago a Creative 3D Blaster 4 Titanium 420 (with
Nvidia Geforce4 titanium chip) and it is runing fine; even I haver reached to
activate the tv-output and I can watch xine-dvds and tv decodified in my tv

OK, I did the rpm --rebuilddb. What's my next step? I've already checked
to see if amaya shows up on the software manager list and it does not.

For what it's worth, I've tried to install Mozilla 1.1 on ML 8.2 any
number of times and I always get the message that 0.9.8 is necessary for
Nautilus and the Gnome core. So I gave up and didn't install it into the
/usr/lib directory but settled for installing it into home/user name/
etc. It isn't

I read Direct CD CDRWs by mounting them with a file system of UDF, works fine. If
you are seeing autorun.inf and udf.exe, then Mandrake is probably detecting it as the
iso9660. If you manually mount the drive and use -t udf you should be OK. Try
something like:
mount -t udf /dev/cdrom
