Ho provato a dare il comando
# Chmod 777 /mnt/cdrom
... non riesce a farmi leggere, comunque, le due periferiche.
Vi chiedo aiuto.

/var/cache/urpmi/rpms.
I take it they may be written to cd and used to update a 2nd version of
mdk92 or after system crash/reinstall?
What actions need be taken to get all info on disc like hdlist etc.

Im not certain that's going to work... what is actually mounted at
that point? His root partition? What chroot does is to change the
root partition basically. Putting in NEWROOT is just a sample place,
it's not meant to be taken literally.
