Sounds like a database corruption error.
One solution could be to make a file copy of the database file, make a
fresh install of PSE and import the contents of the old db file, if PSE
has a bulk import function.
I suspect the PSE database is based on SQLite. Ther could be generic
SQLite db
Last week my PSE Organiser packed up (it hangs) - I can no longer access it.
The amazing thing is that I can still import photos into the catalogue but
then cannot access them. I can get into the Editor indirectly but it has
become a tedious business importing the images for editing. I have

Yet another idea: How about a tablet?
The controls are so simple that even a clumsy 3-4-year-old kid can manage.
One can research which ones offer a better camera, as some of them are
rather slow (shutter-speed-wise), probably due to the limited ISO.

There could be a cold break in a solder joint. The electronics don't
need to warm up but the break in the joint needs to warm up to make

it wouldnt come on ... and actually the cd player suddenly started playing
when I just left the cd I had in it sit.. and the tape player worked

The images were very dark. Some of the slides were just black. I guess what
I was referring to when I send they appeared faint, was that on a couple of
them I could see that the were photos of a white trillium. However, the
white trillium certainly was not white.
