I have found 'personally' that it is easier to setup virtual domains
with a virtual domain manager. It does all the work for you and updates
all the qmail related files. That package is called Vpopmail and it

We are presently Qmail 1.03. We added a virtual domain. To route the mail
to the virtual domain users, we had to add an alias for each user. We're
actually routing the mail for that domain to a specific mail server. Is

I have a problem creating vrituals dominains of mail... In
the DNS setup:
miprueba.comMX miservidor.empresa.com
servidor.miempresa.com A 209.167.23.26
and in /var/qmail/controls/ add miprueba.com to rpchosts and
virtualdomains [EMAIL PROTECTED]:usuariop

would end up in the same mailbox).
So, how do I approach this? I have set up the MX records for his domain
so that mail destined for foo.com will hit this box. Once received,
should I just set up qmail virtual domains as is described in the
qmail-howto by Adam Mckenna? If
I need mail users not to be system users.

I have a question about setting up pop3 access for
virtual domains.
For example, suppose I have 2 virtual domains on my
server => vdomain1.com and vdomain2.com
I need to set up the following email addresses, each

Regarding the below instructions, I realize that the use of .qmail-* files
is how Qmail was "designed". But I find them to be rather clumsy.
For example, what if you have mail coming in to

For this I've got the following two entries in my virtualdomains
file (set up according to docs on qmail.org):
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:alias-isp
:alias-ppp
And in ~alias I've got .qmail-isp-scode and .qmail-isp-default
containing "&scode@

In sendmail 8.9 I can use the following line in sendmail Virtual Domains

This would basically redirect the mail from the first domain for the
user to the user account at the other domain that I want it forwarded
to. In browsing through the qmail docutmentation I do not see anything
to do
