I know of only one way to do this. Use find/replace to find each paragraph break and then use Insert Break Line break on each found line. However, why won't paragraph breaks work for you? You could simply create a paragraph style for verses with the spacing you want from default. Have a look at

In short - yes. OOo will allow formatting that when saved as .rtf (or any other non OOo format) may be lost. My $0.02 worth on the whole subject (and no I've not read the article yet) is that a file format that is purely textual and formatted is the best choice. OOo native format is just that.

Dear Open Office, My wife uses your program and loves it. I on the other hand use Microsoft Word. Since we put OpenOffice on our computer the open document tab on the start menu will only open a document with Open Office. Why? How do I get Open Office to stop this? I don't like Open Office
