thanks samantha - I was going to use the china argument - if you've never been there and touched it - how do you know it physically exists. This is PURE BULLSHIT. And stupid to boot. You KNOW China exists and so do the rest of us. The existence of China is an agreed upon fact. An abduction case from Australia has resulted in what may be the world's first DNA test of abduction-related biological material. The intriguing results raise many questions about the physical nature of abduction and also illustrate the need for more intensive scientific research on this worldwide mystery. The full case report by leading Australian researcher Bill Chalker is published in the Spring 1999 edition of International UFO Reporter, the quarterly journal of the Chicago-based J. Allen Hynek Center for UFO Studies (CUFOS). The following summary is published with Chalker's permission and assistance. Peter Khoury, the subject of this case, was born in Lebanon in 1964 and moved to Australia in 1973. There he met his future wife Vivian at school in 1981. Peter and Vivian were married in 1990 and now have two children. They live in Sydney. Peter works in the building trades and has owned his own business in cement rendering. Peter and Vivian had their first UFO experience in February 1988, a simple sighting of unusual moving lights. But in July of that year, Peter had a deeply disturbing, consciously remembered contact experience that, he says, changed his life. While lying on his bed, he felt something grab his ankles. He suddenly felt numb and paralyzed, but remained conscious. Then he noticed three or four small hooded figures alongside the bed. He experienced telepathic communication with one or more of these beings; he was told to relax and not be afraid because "it would be like last time." He then saw that they were about to insert a long needle into the side of his head, whereupon he blacked out. He jolted awake some time later, leaped out of bed and ran into the living room where he found his father and brother apparently dozing. Both he and his brother felt that only 10 minutes had passed since they had last been awake, but they soon realized that an hour or more had passed. The next morning, Peter and Vivian noticed that there was an obvious puncture mark on the side of his head, with a trace of dried blood. At this time, Peter had never heard of alien abduction. His memories were vivid and alarming, but he could find neither answers nor comfort from friends and acquaintances. Then, some months later, he and Vivian drove by a roadside billboard with an image of Whitley Strieber's book "Communion," and they immediately got the book. Peter found numerous details in Strieber's account that matched his own strange experience. Peter's subsequent attempts to connect with local UFO groups and experiencers proved frustrating. Eventually, in April 1993, he resolved to found a new group in Sydney, the UFO Experience Support Association (UFOESA), dedicated to helping people understand and cope with their unusual encounters. With his "invisible college" associates, Chalker discussed the possibility of doing polymerase chain reaction (PCR) amplification and sequencing of mitochondrial DNA that might be recovered from Peter Khoury's hair sample. In early 1998, these researchers -- now calling themselves the Anomaly Physical Evidence Group -- agreed to do the DNA testing on the hair sample. Chalker points out that "alien" beings are most often described by experiencers as having no visible hair. But one type -- sometimes called "Nordic" -- is described fairly often as having distinctly human-like features including hair, often (though not always) blond in color. A number of well-known abduction cases have involved human-looking beings with hair, including the 1975 abduction reported by Travis Walton in Arizona, and the 1957 Brazilian abduction reported by Antonio Villas Boas. hi, I signed off the CTRL list a month or so ago - and have recently rejoined to find that the nature of the conspiracy information coming through has polarised itself into several basic sets. 1. the long running jews and nazis thing 2. NRA vs. the FEDS 3. pseudo skeptical denial of the existence of ET life 4. the american elections assorted lion baiting It was not so long ago that we were collectively dealing with the y2k stuff, where various ex-military experts were talking about the end of the world, roundups and the beast incarnate announcing the nwo. I kept all of these posts. I even urged my mom and dad to stock up short term on basic essentials. I remember then posting words to the effect that nothing would happen - and luckily for me - nothing did ... to me it seemed like nothing was going to shift the wall of silence even if we wanted it to - the inexorable grind of the mass cull goes on whether we're hotheaded or not - eg. chemtrails, gm foods etc I think that it will take cool reasoning and some sense of perspective - for it may be that the predominately american list has become unsettled. I detect [from someone not exposed to the daily US political hype] that this list has been seriously wound up. Probably of more pressing concern is the question of insurance and medical benefits, what insurance company is going to touch you if you have a genetic tendency towards some long term debilitating disease. Following on from that you may have a state welfare system that ends up only treating the long term seriously ill, and how long before people object to paying for something they themselves are probably not going to use. Because of genetic profiling it will enable insurance companies to target those with a small chance of serious disease, and therefore offer them smaller premiums, making them more attractive, and less likely that those people would use a state system. You would therefore end up with two-tiers of health treatment, one private for those with not much chance (genetically speaking) of catching a serious illness, the other public for those with a very good chance genetically of catching such a disease. I think you go a little off the deep end in some of what you say here regarding the occult connections to this whole idea, BUT would also say that there definitely IS an occult connection involved, I just don't believe there is anything to it in a "real" sense ie; they may play it that they are "super beings" or "hermaphroditic reincarnated Hitlers" but they really AREN'T and they know it. She looked around 30 years old, tall and strong, light hair, cut to her shoulder, ordinary looking. Then she asked me if I would let her show me her real self, because I had never seen anybody like her, but she needed my permission for this.And I thought "Poor thing, she`s really miserable..." so I said yes. We went to a quiet room, we sat facing each other, and she grabbed my hands, told me to relax and just look at her. What I saw was a reptile, taller then she was, at least 6 feet, green/brown color, staring at me with it`s head turned side ways, and I swear with something that seemed like a grin on it`s face. The spook had left a bottle of whisky for my severly medicated sister. When Don got home that night - a bottle of whiskey was found on his doorstep. Recently people have been phoning him up and threatening him - asking for Mr Irish - a common Mi5 thing [the irish question and scotland] My sister Avril worked for the United nations Relief and works agency for Palestine - and she lost her job when one of her bosses tried to get a secretary he was shagging into Avrils job. Avril blew the whistle on him, but she lost everything and went back to London - where she was targetted. Firstly abducted by three men and severely raped whilst they held a lit oxyacetylene torch to her face - then she was blown up in a gas explosion, which incredibly she survived with 40% burns - she said that before the fire services got there after the explosion - a man came to remove the 'faulty' fittings. At that same time in edinburgh, an eastern student followed my parents out into the country and boxed them into a parking place - my mother said to my father and younger sister in the car, that the guy looked strange and angry and that he was doing something under the steering wheel of his car - my mothers instinct was to go - as my father inched his car past the blocking car - he could see the middleeastern student trying to jam a clip into a luger pistol. At that same time - attempts were made on my life. - mid 80's The spooks have hounded me out of employment - and used to come in off the street where I worked in a public office to threaten me. I worked as an employment consultant - and some guy claiming to be Mr Wallace of 24 burgess street who was ex-SAS came in to the office to threaten my life. They used Wallace - because of the Braveheart thing - a nationalist rebel rouser and troublemaker. etc etc standard mi Clive stereotype. As it happened, I moved house and came upon the first available address to rent which was 24 burgess street - and my god there was a mr wallace staying in the stair - but this was a diminutive 5 foot 1 photographer who would not harm a fly. They're into making phone calls to me about sexual issues these days - and have been blocking my progress as a professional musician - I was at a gig - and some well to do man and woman came up to speak to me. Now I'm a very good player - but I was told that I had played badly - an opinion not shared by the rest of the hall or their accounts dept. The woman said that she organised orkney Folk Festival - and my partner overheard the man say to her - 'shall we bring then to orkney then' and she kicked him under the table. The music scene in Scotland is led by a chain of Mi5 informants who supply drugs - and anyone on the bandwagon gets favoured status. As a musician - I see the dumbing down of music - in fact foretell the death of music as a craft and the birth of 'music' as a pollution. Them thar jungle beats and hard driving rock stuff is now pumping out psychosonic frequencies to control the masses as techno and trance - minus any pretension to an intellectual content in the lyrics. So a bunch of sad eggheads are inventing our fashions and our cultural explorations - so that the population can be divided and boxed and ruled. Recently this disease has decimated the monkey population in Costa Rica. We are now just learning that the disease has been able to graft itself to the skin of fruits in the region, most notably the Banana which is Costa Rica's largest export. as a biologist - I would be asking how the bacterium actually eats and feeds itself - as it appears to secrete proteolytic enzymes to dissolve its meat - it cannot be having too much fun on a banana skin which is probably mostly cellulose/plant material... it may, however form spores [hibernate] in which case the bananas are not technically 'infected' ie. invaded and that the bacterium has simply hitched a ride without doing the banana any damage. the idea of grafting itself onto the banana is 'interesting' - it implies a biochemical compatibility with cellulose - which someone with basic microbiological details on it could answer in two seconds. I think that if it did like cellulose - it would be the most incredibly virulent plagues that humanity has ever known instead of a rarity. no book, newspaper, piece of wood, autumn leave, flower or grass would be safe if its surviving as a fruit pathogen - then it must be oxidising the sugars, however if it eats meat - is this not an anaerobic process ? ie. reduction, to me - that seems a bit of a contradiction. [but I don't have the accredited qualified opinion on that] It may have been put onto bananas by an infected monkey - but would have to compete for moisture and nutrition against faster growing and better adapted bacteria and fungii - therefore don't fancy its chances much as it would be so outnumbered. do we know that it likes monkey flesh ? I think that any environmental biologist worth their degree could confirm or deny that this is an urban legend - I don't think that any academic microbiologist would be confused as has been suggested - but we still need to ask them. The Scottish Parliament has opened up civic life by showing that tuition fees and a laughable "freedom of information" act can no longer be imposed by the elected dictatorship in Westminster on the whole of Britain. Wales, which admittedly has far fewer powers, has done nothing. this view is contrary to my own on the effectiveness and relevance of devolved government in the uk ie. the scottish parliament if it has demonstrated anything - it is a wierd anxiety to implement the most radical new world order policies on an experimental basis - before they get introduced to the population of england and wales. To explain, the treaty of union which held together the uk by an historic joining of the old kingdoms - asserted that no tax could be introduced in any one kingdom - it had to be multilateral. Thatcher broke the treaty when she introduced the dreaded poll tax into scotland an experiment to see if the rebellious scots could handle it - and if they did - then england and wales were to get it in the neck next. Scotland endured with barely a whimper - so it was introduced into england and wales - suddenly mass riots in english cities - to the famous battle cry of .. 'maggie, maggie, maggie out ! out ! out! I would avoid the implication that small mammalian rodents are used here - when we all have access to the ideas that consciouseness of an interdimensional nature doesn't have a fixed size and can inhabit whatever shell it happens to find appropriate - eg. it may occassionally 'walk in' to a mouse - but then it doesn't have to impose these restrictions upon itself when it can obsess its victims with certain kinds of vibrational frequencies. The disadvantage we have is that beings operating in these frequencies can see or hear the vulnerabilities within us - which no doubt they are adapted to exploit - but even that doesn't make their success certain for they themselves have to expend energy to get close. I don't think that human Intel agencies would know the first thing about operating the creatures you speak of - simply because they have no real way to control them - However perhaps an Alien Intel agency might co-opt these life forms if they couldn't do the job themselves any better - which is unlikely. But I think that in the big picture - the human being is on a trail through a rainforest of subtle and teeming energies and that perhaps in your case - you have attracted a couple of unwanted liasons from a couple of the minor lifeforms in the forest canopy and that by continually feeding them the bananas of attention they will keep coming back for more. -Caveat Lector- hi, I had a thought about the last post which recommended a 45 magnum - hard hitting and does bears and tigers with one good effective stopper of a round. It sounds good, but it isn't really going to do. [imo] Looking at lessons from history we see the shapeshifters, faeries and elementals - ie. other worldly creatures fear of iron. anecdotal evidence of the philadelphia experiment tells us that some crew after they came back from wherever - touched a ships magnetic compass and burst into flame. Iron earths and dissipates the self contained reservoir of energies within these beings somewhat like a lightning conductor. Magnetised iron is going to be even more effective at that. Firstly - the reptiles have a control over matter which may be harmed more by magnetic iron grapeshot or shrapnel or a good styled round. Having magnetic iron amongst their unworldly constitution is probably going to do more lasting damage than a lead round. Secondly - these guys don't just growl like a bear - they use a form of psionic mind control - which could well ensure that their victim didn't get a second round off - so I would recommend coating the magnetic iron round/shrapnel in some hallucinogenic eg. lsd which I would hope - would interfere with their will power long enough for the defendent to reposition. Research team creates mutant worms Discovery shows direct link between gene and behavior Associated Press A study by Utah and Texas researchers has shown how a genetic mutation may change a worm's feeding behavior. The researchers created mutant worms that were unable to eat and swallow properly. "We've shown it's possible to draw a direct line between a specific gene and a specific aspect of behavior," said University of Utah geneticist M. Wayne Davis, principal author of the study published this week in the journal Science. "If we can take what we learn in the worm . . . we can move up to understanding how more complicated behaviors in more complicated animals like people are made up of smaller behaviors, each controlled by separate genes," Davis said. Science's editors said the study "demonstrated, with unprecedented thoroughness, the ripple effect of a specific genetic mutation all the way out to the change in behavior it causes." The study "is really terrific," said Cori Bargmann, an anatomy and biochemistry professor at the University of California, San Francisco. She said it is one of a few cases where scientists traced a single gene to its effect on the transfer of electrical signals in muscles and, ultimately, to a visible behavior. Davis, a postdoctoral fellow in biology, was hired by the University of Utah last summer. He conducted the research for his Ph.D. thesis at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. The study involved Caenorhabditis elegans, a nonparasitic nematode that has only 1,000 cells and is as long as a dime is thick, Davis said. Davis and his colleagues studied a gene named exp-2. When the gene is mutated a certain way, the worms cannot defecate properly and become constipated. The same mutation prevents the worm from laying eggs or eating properly. Davis' research team discovered the gene by pinpointing its location and linking its mutant forms to various abnormalities. Exp-2 orders production of a protein. Four of the proteins form a tube-like potassium channel. Each of the worm's muscle cells has hundreds of such potassium channels. When similar calcium channels open, electrically charged calcium ions flow into muscle cells, increasing the voltage so the muscles contract. Then, when exp-2 potassium channels open, potassium flows out, quickly reducing the voltage so the muscles relax. When a normal worm eats, the contraction and relaxation of muscle cells in its mouth and throat allow it to suck in water and bacteria from surrounding soil, then spit out the water while swallowing the bacteria, Davis said. Davis compared normal worms with two kinds of mutant worms, which were created by soaking parent worms in a toxic chemical. In one kind of mutant, the exp-2 gene became hyperactive. As a result, potassium flowed out of muscle cells prematurely, so the worms' throat muscles began to relax before fully contracting. Worms with two of these mutant genes could not eat at all and died. Worms with one mutant gene had trouble sucking in water and bacteria so they ate poorly, Davis said. The scientists created a second mutation in which the exp-2 gene did not work at all. Such worms could contract their throat muscles, but could not relax them. But, he said, with "the technology advancing all the time, we're going to have in the future to ... be able to implement innovative ways of parole and work release." Peter Cubra, one of the lawyers representing inmates in the prison lawsuit testified about the remarks earlier this month at the Legislature's Interim Courts, Corrections, and Criminal Justice Committee. Cubra didnt' divulge where Johnson made the comments, but two ... Whatever it turns out to be a mysterious flying object has landed in an Australian country dam, leaving a large crater, and sunk beneath the mud. Air tests around the dam found no radioactivity, but water supplies from the dam to the nearby town of Guyra have been cut. Police have also erected a one-mile no go zone around the dam, as curious locals and scores of media descend on the sleepy town of Guyra, 250 miles north of Sydney. "At this stage we don't really know what the object is," said a police spokesman at Guyra. "It has made a significant depression in the floor of the dam." The mysterious object, which landed sometime between Monday and Wednesday, has left a 50-foot-long and 20-foot wide crater. The object appears to have hit the dam at about 45 degrees and skidded before sinking. Theories of what the object is ranged from a meteorite to frozen sewage jettisoned from an aircraft. Also pseudo academic 'studies' come out showing that the scots are innately aggressive and drunkards - but the obvious explanation that scotland is an arbitary demographic area zoned by the roman empire and hadrians wall - and is actually the social equivalent of impoverished northern england - seems to evade any reason. Apparently the average national wage is something like 30,000 us dollars, yet the average person in northern britain may be lucky to see 10,000 us dollars per annum. The reason Blair is denying this state of affairs is that it lends weight to the Scottish nationalist and separatist argument - Northern UK is third world - southern UK is experiencing a jobs and property boom at this time and prosperity in southern UK - puts southern england in a different financial league. meanwhile multinational firms eg. oil companies continue to turn the screw on northern britain - full of old cars which are now only entitled to run on lead replacement petrol - which is Cheaper to manufacture by 40% - but is now being sold at the same price as other fuels. Andrew Microsoft signals death of PCs John Cassy and Jane Martinson Thursday December 9, 1999 The death knell for the personal computer sounded last night when Microsoft, the world's biggest software company, announced a major investment in the next generation of mobile phones. The agreement with Ericsson, the world's largest manufacturer of mobile electronic devices, to make Microsoft's e-mail system compatible with mobiles and personal organisers is a tacit admission from the US giant that the PC will soon be overtaken as the preferred way of accessing the internet. Industry experts say that by 2003 more than 600m people will be accessing the internet from mobile devices compared to 550m using desktop computers. Phones, walkmans, personal organisers and even digital cameras will provide access to the internet with users able to surf, read books, trade shares, speak to friends, e-mail and shop from the same device. "We have entered the post- PC era," said Keith Woolcock, senior technology analyst at Nomura. "The PC is is being obviated. The technology world is now all about mobility. There is no need to be desk-bound." Microsoft, which controls 95% of the PC software market, has only latterly acknowledged the threat mobile devices pose to its startling growth. Bill Gates's company was also slow to pick up on the internet but massive investment has allowed Microsoft to bludgeon its way back to the forefront of the net revolution. In the same way as it made Windows the world's standard software operating system, Microsoft has been trying to produce a standard system for mobile devices. However, the Symbian alliance struck by a host of Europe's leading mobile phone, electronics and software manufacturers has proved more difficult to muscle past. Mr Gates has already identified British computer company Psion, a tiny player in global terms and best-known for its handheld organisers, as one of the biggest threats to his empire. Psion and mobile phone companies Nokia, Ericsson, Motorola and Panasonic are, through Symbian, attempting to create a global operating standard for handheld devices. Analysts say that although it is a David versus Goliath battle, the mainly European companies for once look like outflanking their Silicon Valley rivals. We are ahead in the mobile phone market and that will prove vital." The Microsoft venture will intensify competition among mobile phone operators to offer the fastest access to the net. "Ericsson has handsets, Microsoft has operating systems and has been looking for a way to enter the wireless industry." Microsoft has already teamed up with British Telecom to develop Internet and multimedia services for consumers and businesses to use on the move. The new technology that will drive the growth is called WAP, standing for Wireless Application Protocol, which is a piece of software that filters text information from web pages and displays the words on your phone. The banks are set to merge together for a joint 'milking the populace' strategy where serious banking competitiors are 'shaking hands' on new ways to screw the public. The real losers are the vastly underpriveleged North of Britain whose loss of touch with the average minimum wage makes that part of Britain north of watford look like a financial desert. It seems to be getting to the stage in Northern Britain where people just cannot afford to put their money into a Bank. A recent TV expose of this turning of the screw suggested that Banks were deliberately trying to terminate some of their clientelles accounts - and that the banking trade name for these uneconomical undesirables is 'LEMONS' A picture of an old age pensioner in todays papers charged $12 dollars for a transaction in his account highlights this brutal piece of Social Darwinism. I would like to look at the Y2K WHIMPER. The Secret establishment for years has been building up its stores - underground cities - alien deals, offworld colonies - a veritable Empire of underworld and interplanetary connections. The massive military industrial complex has succeeded in organising human anarchy and chaos into a fairly dependable chain of supply and demand and despite the reds under the bed scares - has used war and economy and wage slavery to tame the naturally anarchic masses. They have their dreams of course ... total mainframe control, implants but there are too many of us. They have embarked upon population control measures that have been brutally enforced and the world is succesfully chained to their Capital based reality. They know that the Planet may be due all sorts of disasters and that time is running out for the status quo but what they need the most are their factories running, their production outlets going at full throttle - happy slaves turning over as fast as possible as hard as possible - right up to the last moment that they are not needed - for then - the masters simply climb underground or jump on a starship - discarding their drones as they head off to colonise some other hapless world. The date of Drone/Hive Discard cannot be Y2K its far too soon. -Caveat Lector- The love fish creatures are visible in large urban areas in public seen on the pavement as small and large spots of tar. After pimps obtain the creatures and the pearls (which may be a specialized pill or long-life drug for some) they often toss the creature away. And the creature dies usually on the pavement. The tar spots are visible on sidewalks throughout drug territories and throughout all large cities in the U.S. The spots range in size from ½" to 5-6" in diameter. When dried out they stick to the pavement like glue or epoxy and while considered by some to be thrown away gum or tar from the streets, this is simply not the case. The Manhattan subway system is littered with the remains of these love fish, even 3-4 levels underground where no tar exists. I'd probably go for the gum theory myself - but my mate dave Moncoeur IS undergoing bits of the process you describe - and when I stayed the night in his flat - found myself being scanned and interfered with from what I would call an 'astral' point of view - I walked home 10 miles across the city rather than stay the rest of the night there - and I am not easily spooked - but when I felt someone or something grab my 'inner etheric body' and saw some sort of scanner thing over me I had had enough. -Caveat Lector- hi, I read in one of the strange but true type books of the 70's - maybe by Steiger or Keel, that at Delos in Greece, the ancient Temple there is at the centre of a network of temples shaped when the dots are joined, like a maltese/templar cross onthe map of greece. can anyone confirm this idea ?? Greece itself is pretty near 'Arcadia' where the original bloodlines may have hung out Boyz n the Blud' ... et in arcadia deo .. and all of this may mean that the maltese cross was in use far earlier than the templars used it - perhaps of significance to the stargods themselves. -Caveat Lector- hi Steve, all, I posted the patent description to a VERY scientific list I'm on [missing out the 'conspiracy stuff' - and one of the eminent scientists on it from sweden who is into cutting edge neural brain biology didn't buy it. He and this list has a personal interest in finding working versions of such technology with which to prolong their lives what he did have to say didn't exclude the possibility of the mechanism identifying sexuality and mucking about with our sex drives in some crude way however ! This is what Anders had to say Hope for Uploaders - Emotions allegedly stored and replicated could this system be used to educate the neural nets of a fresh personal Clone ?? I'm very sceptical, this sounds too much like a crackpot project to me. Some reasons for suspicion are the idea that sound waves directly can influence the brain (no evidence for that that I know of) and the claims about "emotion signature clusters" - if there was any good way of distinguishing between emotional states it would be headline news in parts of the neuroscience world I keep up to date with. In reality EEG doesn't tell you much about emotional state other than arousal, since most of the emotional information seems to be highly individual and usually mostly subcortical.
