RE: CSsinus infection/sinus washing

2010-07-06 Thread Tom Poast
Hello Sol,

If you have someone to help you, and can follow directions exactly, here is
a way to deal with your sinus issues.

Understand that these are powerful chemicals. If you use them properly,
they work great, but don't try to abuse them.

You will need a humidifier and 5% sodium chlorite.

Mix up a bottle with 1 liter of water in it and add 5 ml (about 1 teaspoon)
of the 5% sodium chlorite to it. Put this water into the humidifier and
point it away from you. You don't want a direct blast, you just want to
have some of this floating in the air.

Next you will have to find a way to breathe through your nose.

Use the humidifier for 4 hours a day.

This is designed for a normal sized room. This is where you will need a
helper. Have your helper stand outside for 10 minutes and then walk into
the room while the humidifier is running. There should be no detectable
odor. If there is an odor detected, add more water to dilute the solution a
little.

This solution has 150 PPM available chlorine dioxide and virtually no free
chlorine dioxide. As the vapors fill the room, you will end up breathing
some of those vapors into your sinus area. As the solution encounters
infection, trace amounts of chlorine dioxide will be released killing off
the infection.

This is not a whizz bang production, but is designed to knock the
infection down a little bit at a time. After 3 - 4 days of this, you
should experience an improvement.

Now comes the hard part. The sinus area is supposed to have a beneficial
flora in it. Infections form when the flora gets wiped out or out of
balance. Chlorine dioxide will probably wipe out the flora along with the
infection, so after a few days of using the humidifier, stop using it and
find a way to introduce some probiotics into your sinus area.
Unfortunately, the re-growth of flora in the sinus area is a slow process,
and hopefully you won't get re-infected while you are trying to grow the new
flora.

This is a 3 - 4 day process. Make sure the level in the room is below the
odor threshold, and be sure to add probiotics after the infection has been
knocked down.

This process (minus the addition of probiotics) has been used with chickens,
turkeys, and ducks, and has been very successful in dealing with respiratory
problems. In those cases the chicken coop has a lot more ventilation, and
the concentration used was about 1000 PPM. The time was reduced to a
fogging morning and night. I have tried this inside a house and 1000 PPM is
way too high, 500 PPM is about the odor threshold, so 150 PPM should not
present a problem. Having the humidifier run for 4 hours will make up for
the lower PPM concentration.

This is a technical procedure, so make sure you understand all of the
instructions. I am not sure what probiotic will work best, but you should
be able to find on by doing some research. People introduce the probiotic
by using a neti pot, but there are other ways to do this if you are unable
to use one.

Good luck and here's hoping you achieve better health.

Tom

CSsinus infection/sinus washing

2010-06-25 Thread sol
Due to chronic very extreme pain for the past 6 + weeks, requiring
actual narcotic pain meds, which in turn caused extreme dry mouth, I did
not recognize a sore throat as an actual infection until I had a sinus
infection. Damaged discs in cervical spine, C3/4, C5/6, so I find I
cannot really use my neti pot often or effectively enough to get rid of
it, because of not being able to hang my head and turn my neck over the
sink without adding more pain and stress to the already injured
discs.etc, etc.

So I'm using CS and salt to wash them out as much as possible, but
it isn't enough.

Questions:

Anyone ever used a dental irrigator at very low flow in place of a neti pot?

Is it adviseable (or perhaps dangerous?) to add a tiny drop of essential
oil of oregano to the wash water

Neuropathy in my fingers and hands from the damaged discs prevents me
typing very long, and also can't sit at the screen very long, so I'm
asking here for help and ideas instead of searching archives, which I
just can't do right now.

Anybody got any better ideas for ways I can get an effective thorough
sinus wash with a bum neck?

thanks,
sol

There are nasal irrigators that are not neti pots. They are plastic squeeze
bottles with a tip that will fit into the nasal orifice. I got rid of a
long standing nasal infection by using CS in a pump spray bottle (Source
Naturals) and then bending over and then lying down on each side an my back
to it would drain into all the sinuses.

For the cervical issues you might want to research a LET PS705 cosmodic
unit. If you are interested you can email me back channel and I will be
happy to give you information. I also have neck injuries from an auto
accident and this unit has been a treasure for me.

If you want to use CS (your own solution) then you need a Grossan irrigator
tip for your water pik.

Don't try it without the proper implement, which can be found here:
http://prostores1.carrierzone.com/servlet/ethicare_com/Categories
Make sure it will fit your model waterpik.
Another option that we have used is a pressurized nasal spray:
We really like this one:
http://www.drugstore.com/qxp179975_333181_sespider_1_1/ocean/ultra_sterile_saline_nasal_mist.htm
It contains Ringer's Solution and does a great job of flushing out your
sinus passages.
It is pressurized, so you don't need to squeeze it, just depress the
irrigator.

You can get quite a few sprays out of it before it is exhausted.
Just be careful not to spray in your eyes. It keeps coming out for a little
while after you release it.

This or something like it may be found in your local drug store.

I use the Hydro-Pulse water pick designed by DR Grossan. I use a jigger of
EIS mixed with H2O2, MSM, Xylitol, and a few drops of Peppermint oil plus 1
to 3 teaspoons of salt plus a teaspoon of baking soda plus 4 drops of DMSO
in 12 ounces of warm water. The Hydro-Pulse is designed to operate at the
frequency of the Cilia. I am on about my 4th unit as they don't last long
unless they are flushed with water after each use. I buy direct from DR
Grossan but I think it can be bought cheaper on line. I tried using just a
water pick with the Grossan attachment and that did work but it didn't hold up
long with my special sinus mixture.

I use the baking soda hopefully to treat any fungus in my sinuses. The Mayo
clinic said most sinus infections are caused by a fungus. I found EIS is
not very effective for a fungus. Baking Soda was shown on Know The Cause to
work very well for fungus problems.

The Dentist did the root canal and showed me the gunk he removed with his
little file. Looked pretty rotten to me. He only had a 25mm long file and my
tooth is 27mm. So does the extra 2mm part of the tooth not cleaned out
matter?

If you mean the syringe type, yes, I have and I like it better than the netti
pot.
Just push slowly and sniff easy.  It helps a lot.

I'm not challenging you, but the baking soda for fungus doesn't make any sense
to me. From my training fungus thrives in alkaline environments and things
don't get more alkaline than baking soda, to my knowledge.

Can anyone explain why one would use baking soda for a fungus infection?

I use the Hydro-Pulse water pick designed by DR Grossan. I use a jigger of
EIS mixed with H2O2, MSM, Xylitol, and a few drops of Peppermint oil plus 1 to
3 teaspoons of salt plus a teaspoon of baking soda plus 4 drops of DMSO in 12
ounces of warm water. The Hydro-Pulse is designed to operate at the frequency
of the Cilia. I am on about my 4th unit as they don't last long unless they are
flushed with water after each use. I buy direct from DR Grossan but I think it
can be bought cheaper on line. I tried using just a water pick with the Grossan
attachment and that did work but it didn't hold up long with my special sinus
mixture.

I use the baking soda hopefully to treat any fungus in my sinuses. The Mayo
clinic said most sinus infections are caused by a fungus. I found EIS is not
very effective for a fungus. Baking Soda was shown on Know The Cause to work
very well for fungus problems.

The Dentist did the root canal and showed me the gunk he removed with his
little file. Looked pretty rotten to me. He only had a 25mm long file and my
tooth is 27mm. So does the extra 2mm part of the tooth not cleaned out matter?

Hi Marshall. What I originally did was us a six volt battery, two wires
running to 2 plastic shoe boxes filled with water. The wires were stripped
at both ends. So the current went from foot to foot passing though the
midsection. I would change polarity every 5 minutes. Each session would run
20 minutes 2 times a day. I did this for 1 week.

More info can be found at

Re: CSSinus infection and gentian violet

2009-06-27 Thread Malcolm
Hi Sam,
There are a number of things that cause sinus filling or irritation
besides infection. Hay fever is one, several medications either
prescribed or over-the-counter can also do it, and they don't
necessarily cause a reaction right after you take them. My reason for
mentioning this is that you may be causing enough irritation with the
other things you are doing in conjunction with, well, who knows what, to
have yourself a vicious circle going. Sometimes a new pillow or
blanket, a new source of dust in the room, new fresh scent laundry
detergent or something completely unexpected can trigger it; some people
are even triggered by a new light source. My suggestion is to avoid the
kitchen sink, try the things that are gentlest one or two at a time
and give the sensitive tissues time to heal so whatever environmental or
other irritant is present doesn't have such an easy time provoking a
reaction. After three weeks those tissues are in an uproar, they're
part of your body's first line of defense. When I have used CS I'll
spritz and breathe in at the same time, in each nostril and down the
throat, do that perhaps every hour until I've drained, then keep doing
it some more (I also hit my eyes with a spritz or so - makes a
difference.)
Hope it gets better for you,
Malcolm

Put CS in an empty and cleaned nasal spray bottle like the Dristan or

I do and it works well. Blow your nose well before spraying.

Nice graphic. There are also some sinus areas in more direct contact
with the brain. I can't remember the name of that one, though.

Here is another link I googled up, it has some more cool images, too:

http://www.american-rhinologic.org/patientinfo.sinusnasalanatomy.phtml

It is a more complicated business than it seems at first glance, imho.
There are some pretty deep in the head too.

Others here have stated that lying backwards on the bed with the head
off the end and dripping the cs in; then rolling the head from side to
side; or around as much as movement will allow can be helpful. For me,
the cs starts to be somewhat uncomfortable once the infection begins to
subside, more so as it gets better. I don't know if others share that
experience or not.

The paranasal sinuses are air-filled pockets located within the bones
of the face and around the nasal cavity. Each sinus is name for the
bone in which it is located:

* Maxillary (one sinus located in each cheek)
* Ethmoid (approximately 6-12 small sinuses per side, located
between the eyes)

* Frontal (one sinus per side, located in the forehead)
* Sphenoid (one sinus per side, located behind the ethmoid sinuses,
near the middle of the skull)

I use CS nose drops with about 2 MG of Xylitol added. I put a lot of
this my nose until the sinus is flooded with it. Do this a few times
per day when fighting a cold or sinus infection.

In addition to using CS drops and/or spray, an indispensable therapeutic
tool for dealing with chronic sinus problems is he Grossan sinus
irrigator. There is nothing else that I am aware of that does what this
does. We use it with the Grossan breathe*easeXL which is very
effective. Or, you can add a half teaspoon of salt, a 1/4 teaspoon of
bakink soda, and 1/4 teaspoon of Xylito to a standard water pik tank of
water. You can purchase a full system from the Grossan website
(www.grossan.com), or you can just buy the Grossan nasal tip and use it
with a standard water pik (much cheaper). The web site has a lot of
good information on drug-free treatment of the sinus.

Another very useful item is the Nutra-Biotic saline nasal spray
containing 1% GSE. Used in conjunction with CS and the Grossan
irrigator, and you can successfully treat chronic sinus problems without
drugs..

My thinking on not mixing DMSO and H2O2 is not that they will cause any
kind of harm but that DMSO is a powerful anti-oxidant and H2O2 is an
oxidizing agent. It appears to me that they may just cancel each other
out. I have not heard anyone else address this issue except for the
suggestion that when taking oral peroxide some people do take an
anti-oxidant such as superoxide dismutase to prevent untoward oxidation
reactions. However if it is the contribution of a molecule of oxygen
that is the beneficial action of peroxide then it does not make a whole
lot of sense, unless they anti-oxidant is taken later, after the
peroxide has a chance to do some good?

Just thoughts here, no proof. If you mix the two and it seems to work
then go for it.

I generally choose DMSO over peroxide myself, but part of that is due to
the fact that the DMSO is easier to handle and obtain. Buying and
diluting a pure grade of H2O2 can be a bother and takes some care in
handling 35% H2O2. I don't want to ingest the brown bottle drug store 3%
peroxide due to the stabilizers in this particular preparation. I can
forward more info on this stabilizer from a supplier's web site. I will
go look for it now.

I get some burning from 20% DMSO CS when I use drops in my nose. I think
it is from the DMSO. I will have to try it with just the CS and see if
that burns the same way. MSM could also be burning a little, have not
tried that either, but I do know it is very bitter.

I know for nasal irrigation you can avoid the burning by adding some
salt, I think it is 1/4 teaspoon to a cup of warm water to achieve a
physiological solution, one that matches the salinity of the body and
hence does not burn. It's been years since I have used it but Ethicare
makes an attachment for water piks that allows you to use them for sinus
irrigation. There are also some very fancy pumps made specifically for
this purpose.

RE: CSSinus Infection, viral or bacterial?

2004-10-11 Thread Garnet
You might get a secondary infection caused by a bacteria, but only
viruses cause colds. The bacterial infection can be secondary to any
source that causes mucous production that the bacteria can take hold in.
Often it starts with an allergic reaction.

Years ago someone told me of getting walking pneumonia every spring like
clock work. Finally her doctor told her that if she is sleeping with her
windows open that this could be the source of the problem. Pollens are
heavily released in the early morning hours and were causing mucous. She
said the annual bouts of pneumonia stopped when she started closing her
windows at night.

Although I love sleeping with my windows open I have noticed I have far
more mucous when I do. I close them just before I go to sleep.

Re: CSSinus Infection

2004-10-11 Thread Garnet
You could be exposed to mold fumes, which are immune suppressant among
other negative health effects. They can burn, cause headaches, CFS,
cancer, will cause an infant to bleed out from the tiny capillaries in
their lungs in 24 hours if sufficiently concentrated and from the right
species of molds. Generally there are many species growing at the same
time. Stachybotrys is one of the most toxic but not the only one that
causes many problems.

Old basements and HVAC systems are sources. Keeping the basement dry by
using box fans to circulate the air can go a long way in preventing the
growth of mold.

Sewage vapors can't be good for you either. Heaven knows what is in
them. A good air filter might help here, Aeriox has a good filtration
system. Something like theirs or a good HEPA filter can remove some of
the Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) from the air. I use a portable
Aeriox in my car when I am going to be in heavy traffic. It makes a huge
difference in how I feel at the end of the day, headaches and brain fog
are so much less.

I do not recommend the electrostatic air filters, the ionizing types
sold by MLM'ers. Although they do seem to help with strong odors I
really don't think they are effective for large spaces and are far too
expensive. I tried four of the Sharper Image filters in a large great
room. I had an HVAC air quality specialist in to test for mold after a
roof leak. He said one of those in a very small bathroom might help but
that they just don't move enough air to address a large space. I
returned them within 60 days and got all my money back. It was nice to
have tried them though and find out for myself. Wiping the dust off the
collection plates constantly was not easy to keep up with either.

A good airfilter will move the whole volume of air in a room several
times an hour. For more recommendations find a good MCS list. They know
what works.

I also put a UV Aire light unit in one side of my house (we have two
heat pumps). It did seem to help some and is suppose to keep mold out of
the HVAC system. But at $400 installed I thought it should do more. I
could buy a good air filter for that price. The UV bulb has to be
replaced every 12-18 months so it has maintenance just like replacing
filters.

Re: CSSinus Infection

2004-10-11 Thread Marshall Dudley
What H2O2 does is complicated, and I am not sure anyone understands it yet.
Here are what appear to be the reactions, which are possibly to some extent
cyclic until the H2O2 is gone.

Ag + H2O2 - H2O + AgO

The above appears to be very fast for the ionic portion, and slower for the
particulate portion.

2AgO + 2H2O2 - 2H2O + 2Ag + O2

This seems to form very small metalic particles. So the large particles of
silver end up eventually breaking down to small particles of silver via
silver oxide. This appears to take some time as well.

The solubility limit of Silver Oxide in cold water is about 13 ppm, so high
ppm EIS will cause some precipitate to form, at least for a while.

Now it appears that the 2Ag particles that form are not oxidized back to
silver oxide as quickly as the larger particles. This may be due to the
difference in the catalytic properties, or due to the larger particles often
having an impurity such as copper in them.

So the following when H2O2 is added to EIS appears to be what happens to me,
but I could be wrong.

Immediately Ag+ ionis become silver oxide. If the ppm exceeds about 13 ppm
(8.5 mS?), then any remaining will form a fine white colloid that will
eventually precipitate out.

Over a longer period the metallic particles react and become silver oxide as
well. Once again if the ppm of the silver oxide exceeds about 13 ppm, the
excess will form a precipitate.

Over time, the silver oxide will become very small silver particles, quite
likely plating out on the small particles.. This is catalyzed by H2O2. Once
the H2O2 is gone there should be a ratio of silver oxide to silver particles,
after which time exposure to light will cause remaining silver oxide to
become silver particles, quite possible plaing out on the silver particles
already present causing them to grow in size.

Marshall

drops of 10% ionic CS into the nostrils while the head is tilted back

getting to silver to make contact with the germs. The next thing I would do is
get the heck out of that building!

RE: CSSinus Infection, viral or bacterial?

2004-10-08 Thread David Bearrow
I can tell the difference between a virus caused cold and a bacteria caused
cold when taking CS. The bacteria caused cold is wiped out within 2 days.
The viral cold runs its normal course. I can only conclude that CS alone is
not effective against viral colds.

CSSinus Infection

2004-10-08 Thread ransley
Well I have another one of my many Sinus Infections...

Two things that are so often ignored, forgotten, unknown about recurring
sinus infections.

1. Your teeth. Are any of them painful but have never been root-canaled?
Necrotic dental tissue will harbor the bacteria that lies in wait for your
nose to start running from a cold or allergic reaction; then they have their
needed mucous to proliferate in. There can also be other crevices in your
sinus that become a hideout. I'm not suggesting root-canals, but that is
what finally put an end to my 20 years or so of recurrent and chronic
sinusitis. I just wish I had known of some other possibilities back then,
like mag pulsers and such. Nevertheless, if I had it to do over again in the
same circumstances, I would do the same as I did. I'm not kidding- I WOULD
PULL MY TEETH before I would go through what I went through again with
sinusitis. On the last one I had done, the dentist could not find necrosis
by external examination or x-rays, and was hesitant to work on it. I looked
him in the eye and said Drill it or pull it. He drilled, and found
necrosis. That was 3-4 years ago and the end of 20 years of chronic
sinusitis. It was not my last sinus infection however.

2. Allergic reactions to food, that trigger the mucous flow, that allow the
bacteria to flourish. I posted on several forums back in the summer that I
had finally found my last and worst allergen: CORN. A few poo-poohed the
idea. I witheld further comment until I knew beyond any doubt and now I do
know. Corn is the only thing whatsoever that I have carefully avoided for
the past several months, and I have not had one single little allergic
reaction whatsoever.
My last sinus infection was after a cold and a bout of corn-eating early
this year. You can't avoid them all because bacteria is everywhere. But the
conditions for an extended infection were no longer present, and a thorough
flooding of my sinuses with CS Xylitol literally stopped an infection in
15 minutes.

GSE = Grapefruit Seed Extract

This extract has antibacterial and antifungal properties. Very
concentrated, be careful about putting it on your skin full strength. I
add 200 drops to 8oz distilled water in a spray bottle and use as
deoderant. Kills odor all day without any skin rash. Used to use it
for skin fungal infections, but have since switched to tetrasil
(www.tetrasil.com), which is a kind of silver ointment.

Be very careful to dilute properly for internal use. If you don't, it
will burn you badly. I never use internally because it gives me
diarrhea. You can also get in tablet form, but those also gave me
diarrhea.

CSSinus Infection

2004-10-07 Thread Medwith, Robert
Well I have another one of my many Sinus Infections.
I take CS and 2 parts Gatorade on a regular basis (a juice glass every
morning and evening,15 PPM CS).
I use CS in my Nebulizer Daily usually 1 or 2 times a day although lately I
have been using it 3 or 4.
I am on Biaxin 500 MG twice a day, which is helping (for 14 days with a
refill if necessary).
In the past I some time had to take the Antibiotics for 28 days.
Although I am coughing up a lot (clear) I do not feel bad.
Years ago before I was on CS I use to get really bad in chest and felt
terrible every time I got a Sinus infection.
At the start I could feel the pressure in my Sinuses and had head aches.
It seems the CS stops infection from getting too bad in the chest.
This usually happens at least twice a year.
Personally I am wondering if is from the old building I work in,
Building where I work has a basement which is open to the heating air
return, not to mention that there are 2 sewage pits in basement.
We are below sewage line and sewage is pumped into line.
Sewage lines are usually covered but are probably not air tight.
I wish I could get an IV of CS when I have these problems.
I wonder if more Gatorade and CS , either more ounces or more often in day
would help.
Open to suggestions and ideas.

Re: CSSinus Infection

2004-10-07 Thread sol
What aborts sinus infection for me is using nose drops/sinus wash of
CS-MSM-DMSO my recipe (vary for your comfort) is 1 oz CS, 1 tsp pure msm
powder, and 2 or 3 drops DMSO (70%).
My first cold in 2 years is still hanging on, but as I was starting to
get better I slacked off on the large amounts of CS I was drinking, and
cut bact on all other forms of CS use. When I saw signs of incipient
sinus infection I immediately started with the nose drops by filling my
sinuses with my mix, hanging my head off the edge of the bed as long as
I could stand it to let it stay in the sinuses. Followed by twice daily
nose drops. In less than 24 hours the budding sinus infection was gone,
but the cold lingers on. I also nebulized with the same mix when I felt
this cold going into my lungs. So far so goodno secondary
infections. In pre-CS years I'd have been on Z-packs by now, with
serious sinus infection and bronchitis.
Some of us are just WAY more susceptible to the cold virus and sinus
infections than others, it seems. I have also been taking supplements
like crazy, and still have the cold, which is taking it's own sweet time
leaving. The only thing that stops me getting them in the first place
is totally dedicated misting of hands and eyes whenever I am exposed.
This means faithfully spraying during or immediately after every single
shopping expedition, etc. Having slacked off on all fronts, and gotten
this darn stubborn cold, it will likely be some time before laziness
sets in again. Oral CS alone, of any amount at all from 2 oz to a pint
or more daily, has never stopped me getting a cold. I have to stop the
bugs at the entrance so to speak, as once they get in the body, all I
can hope for is stopping complications.

Has anybody any experience with colloidal iron with

So many ask--How much CS do I take for how long when I get a problem? I
recommend to keep it handy and take daily regularly without interrupting to
keep your resistance built up and NOT allow the bugs to bother you. I also
am a great believer in misting eyes and ears and hands several times a day

Hey Sol,
I can sympathize with you, I've felt after a few bouts with cold that CS
didn't work as well as GSE. I've tried GSE with colds and bronchitis and it
works really good. I usually would take 4 capsules of the liquid form
throught the day with food. Just pour the liquid into empty capsules.
Admittedly, I took CS/gatorade and GSE in the same day, but the CS/gatorade
alone never did a whole lot for me.

never to breathe ozone that it was in the archrives some time back. comment
I've discovered that dust of every kind in the work home environment
can masquerade as a mild sinus infection. Bear with me, this will take
 some explaining!!

For 20 plus years I awoke every morning with phlegm in my throat. This
would take all sorts of coughing-up under the shower to clear this major
air passage. Always sounded awful and was awful!!

A committed SilverLister now for some 6/7 years -- a true blue believer
-- especially with my trusty nebulizers!!

I discovered that the CS Nebulising would not work, despite lots of
difficulties, coughing and wheezing etc. There was often a build-up at
the top of my windpipe/throat. Often so sticky I was unable to excercise
for more that 5 minutes. And then simply had to give-up for lack of air
getting thru to the lungs. This conditon was never chronic or really
debilitating and I'm far from being an invalid. An uncomfortable and
annoying problem!! Even went off milk in my coffee, thinking I'd
 developed a Lactose problem!

We now have no carpets, just hardwood floors, so house dust is really
 easy to control.

IT IS NOW 98% FIXED -- Bought the Honeywell air filter NEGATIVE
IONIZER from Radio Shack. 24 tall unit with a fan -- and the IONIZING
 circuitry. $216 incl tax

I have no connection with Honeywell or R/Shack. This unit runs 12/15
hours a day especially while sleeping. The unit attracts ALL the fine
dust in an enclosed room. Its made an astonishing difference for us. One
simply wipes the dust off a metal surface designed to attract and
accumulate -- every week or so.

We were using Allergy pills (the cheapest non prescription) occasionally
and these also really helped. Tried Homeopathic pills for Asthma suffers
 -- also helped!

In summer an enclosed room will be a real problem!! When one runs the
house internal heating system, this too would only spread dust and
overwhelm this new ionizing filter. Not sure what the summer solution
 is!

So, the moral of the story is -- I was mislead and wrong about my
condition!!! My discovery was just luck!

I had first bought one of these gadgets back in the mid 80's, a small
one that sat next to my bed. It had 4 or 5 wire exposed points that were
passive dust attractors and these would become thick with black dust and
also stain the wall. Needed vacuuming every few weeks or so. This unit
being passive didn't have the air/dust thru put to make it really
 effective.

My new unit has a fan (the PC type I guess / fairly noiseless) seems to
push lots of air/dust/pollen thru the unit. The bed room now has this
 white noise backdrop.

Anyway, that's my latest break thru!! (If I'm woodworking with lots of
sawdust and not wearing a facemask I still suffer!!)

 In Silvation, Douglas Haack

Another way is to use a small spray bottle, close one nostril,
spray and sniff whenever you feel the need. Always being mindful

of James' earlier post, to sniff in not out.

We use an eye dropper and sniff in.

You can do both! My friend uses a saline sprayer to spritz CS into her
nostrils, she reports it is really helping! Taking some internally will help
boost the immune system so that you won`t have any more infections, and even
allergies are much improved. I used to really suffer with allergies, not any
more!
If you`d like to make your own CS it is really easy, and is a LOT cheaper,
a few cents a gallon versus 20 bucks for a 4 ounce bottle.
Here`s how:
Get 4 nine-volt batteries, (lithiums last 4 times longer than alkalines, if
you can afford the initial expense, about 28 bucks.)
2 pairs of alligator clips, (each pair is connected by a wire)
2 five inch long pieces of .999 fine silver wire, 14 gauge
2 cups of distilled water
a glass measuring cup, to measure and make in the same cup
a water bottle to store the CS in.
(I usually have silver wire to sell, at cost, for 5 bucks. I`ll need an
address if you want some, or I can send the phone number of the jewelry
supplier I use. They only sell by the ounce.)
Rinse the cup and storage bottle with distilled water (dw) to get rid of any
dust, soap residue or whatever.
Measure out 2 cups of dw.
Connect the four batteries together, top to top. Connect the silver wires to
the batteries using the clips. Drop the silver wires into the water. Keep
them about 1 inch apart, about the distance of the handle on the cup.
Let it sit about one hour total. If you get a silver oxide buildup, wipe it
off with a paper towel. Any that drops into the water is harmless.
You will see bubbles on one wire, the oxides on the other, and maybe you`ll
see the faint golden clouds forming, that is the colloid!
Pour the finished CS into the storage bottle.
Take a swallow a day as a preventive, three for an active infection. Use
topically too; in the eyes it is mild and really stops the itchiness of hay
fever.
If you have any questions, please let me know. I`m really glad to help!!

CSSilver Toxicity was Re: CSSinus Infection cured!!!Yayy!

1999-07-10 Thread Ivan Anderson
Katarina,
You will probably never change his mind, a herb doctor who diagnoses
southward brain tendencies due to cs nasal spray? I suppose if you put
it in your ear it will reach your brain quicker. Also there have been
few studies of the toxic effects of CS as in electro-generated colloid
in water. Mostly studies are of elemental silver or silver protein or
silver nitrate etc., and the amounts used in these studies are HUGE
compared to the amounts we take.

Dr John Hill D.C. in his book ' Colloidal Silver A Literature Review '
states this:

The toxic effects of silver is another matter. Silver is toxic when
used in excess but appears to be harmless if used in small amounts.
Critics of
colloidal silver sometimes state that it has been known to cause organ
damage, kidney damage, pulmonary edema, atherosclerosis and death.
Many of these claims appear to be based on a research study on dogs in
which the dogs were deliberately killed by extremely large lethal
doses of
silver. At the doses given any heavy metal and probably many essential
minerals like zinc, iron, copper, etc. would have produced death in
similar
fashion.
And again
we know that dogs died from injections of a type of protein bound
silver in dosages ranging from 500mg to 1.9 grams of silver depending
on the frequency of administration. This was equivalent in silver
content to giving a 150 pound adult between 150 litres and 570 litres
of 10 ppm colloidal silver, or between 75 and 285 liters of 20 ppm
colloidal silver or between 50 and 190 litres of 30 ppm colloidal
silver. the 10 gram estimated lethal dose for humans from Goodman and
Gillman is equivalent to 1000 liters of 10 ppm colloidal silver
In another case an individual ingested an estimated 124 grams of
silver nitrate over a 9 year period. She developed argyria and an
assortment of neurological symptoms as well...
...This report is often used by critics to attribute neurological
disorders to silver consumption. They curiously fail to put in
perspective the gross difference between the quantities of silver
involved.
and he also reports:
The EPA publishes a reference dose (Rfd) for silver which is an
estimate of daily exposure to the entire population that is unlikely
to be
associated with a significant risk of adverse effects over a lifetime.
The
current Rfd for oral silver exposure is 5 micrograms/kg/day with a
critical dose
estimated at 14 micrograms/kg/day... Based on this Rfd, a 150 pound
adult should not exceed 350 micrograms/day.
He then states that if an average person drinks 2 litres of water a
day containing the EPA limit of 0.1 PPM and whose daily diet may
contain
about 90 micrograms of silver that would total less than 300
micrograms/day,
which means that one could take a dose of 2 tsp. of 5 PPM or 1 tsp. of
10
PPM and still be under the Rfd!! 350 micrograms is equivalent to 70
mls (2oz,14 tsp.) of 5 PPM colloidal silver.

These limits are extremely conservative, and the content of silver in
food is almost non-existent these days. One should also weigh up the
danger
of damage caused by prescription medicine against the results that
taking CS produces.

Regards - Ivan

CSSinus Infection cured!!!Yayy!

1999-07-08 Thread Kato109
Dear Everyone,
this list is so amazing and the amount of information on it so huge that I
end up only reading and never seem to get the time to write.
But first, a huge thank you to everyone who encouraged me in persisting in
using the CS for my sinus infection.
Unfortunately, the CS I made myself with my beck's silver pulser was not good
enough or strong enough or something because I tried taking it and spraying
it in my nose for a couple of days with no success.
But then I bought some 200ppm .0001 CS nasal spray from the store, and some
500ppm to hold on my tongue against the roof of my mouth and I could
literally feel my sinuses clearing when I held it against the roof of my
mouth.
Within 48 hrs my quite serious sinus infection was gone. Yay!!! The last
time I tried to get rid of a sinus infection I ended up on three months of
antibiotics which only made me worse and they wanted to do sinus surgery and
eight months later I am still fighting candida and a parasite from the
antibiotic effects and here there is a way to get rid of it in 48 hrs
with no side effects.
I am so so grateful and excited. (told a friend and she cleared hers in a
week with 40ppm storebought spray)
My only worry is my herb doctor who tells me that CS is toxic and will cause
scarring in the brain and kill brain cells, especially when used on the
sinuses. He says he had a patient whose brain went south from using a CS
nasal spray.
So, I understand that there are no studies done on safety because who is
going to fund them when CS is so cheap and easy to make on your own - but are
there any articles at all that I could find to help refute him? He xeroxed me
an article from a book on toxic effects of metals and it said Large doses of
colloidal silver administered intravenously to experimental animals produced
death due to pulmonary edema and congestion. Hemolysis and resulting bone
marrow hyperplasia have been reported. Chronic bronchitis has also been
reported to result from medicinal use of colloidal silver (Browning1969;
Luckey et al 1975)
Has anyone read these articles? Obviously we are not mainlining it in large
quantities so I don't know if it even applies.
I think I would like to take some on a regular basis so that I can help
support my system while fighting off this candida/blastocystis, but I'm still
a little worried about safety.
And I have to get my setup working, so will have lots of questions but will
save them for the next post.
This is just a huge thank you.
Take care,
Katarina
P.S. Can anyone suggest a good list or place to go for help with this
candada? I've tried so many things and done so much reading and it's still
just not working .
Also, is there anyone on the list other than Margaret who used Becks silver
pulser to make their CS and could help with additional advice?
Thanks
