Haven't heard his mix cd on monoid, but I've heard him live once, and it
was trainwreck after trainwreck. Maybe he was trying to hard to do some
quick mixing and managed to properly beat match only about 10% of the
records. But that was some 2 years ago, so maybe he's better now.

You need the laptop because it does all the processing, as far as I know
the external part is just an I/O box, everything else is done in
software.
