in Burlington. It's associating with Common Loon. There are also 5

This afternoon I had an adult Pacific Loon in winter plumage well out off
Thickson Point. Judging by the similarity of the plumage, I believe this is the
same bird that was in Thickson Bay directly in front of my house back on
November 15th (although I have not seen it in

I saw a Pacific Loon in non breeding plumage, complete with necklace at around
2;20 this afternoon . I was looking into East Bay while standing on the
opposite side of the Y peninsula opposite Pipit Point at Leslie Spit. It has
moved and I’m trying to relocate it. I will post again if re found.
There's currently a breeding-plumaged adult Pacific Loon among a loose
congregation of about 450 loons on the lake near East Point Park, in the
east end of Toronto. They're due south of the shoreline feature that
resembles a shallow point. A scope is necessary.

The Pacific Loon seen from the Cobden Boat Launch for the past week was still
visible from there at 4:00 pm today. It was actively fishing on the north side
of the lake. Scope a must to view adequately.
Directions: Cobden is on the Transcanada HWY 17 between Pembroke and Ottawa.

Just an update on at least 1 Pacific Loon being seen today at Minet's Point
Park in Barrie.
The adult bird (moulting to winter plumage but retaining some alternate
plumage) was in amongst a minimum of 1,600 Common Loons today, viewing was
perfect with cool temps (not too much heat haze
Luke Berg has just refound the pacific Loon off of Minets point park in Barrie.
It has a pale throat, silver nape, and large white splotches on the back. Not a
ton of loons but all 3 species are here. Also a few little gulls.

a Hal hour of the report were unable to relocate it even with the original

feeding frenzy off the east side of the tip. The flock isn't too far from shore

At approx. 3:50 p.m. today, I was stationed outside in my yard to see if there
was going to be a raptor "down flight" at the end of the day. A small loon
approached from the northeast, then it flew due west towards me, circled
slightly to the northwest and then headed due south and out of sight.
This is a late post (sorry, I had no Internet access until now) saying that I
saw the juvenile Pacific Loon on Lake Simcoe yesterday afternoon. This is
likely the same one found by Josh Vandermeulen the day before. The weather was

The Pacific Loon was present at dawn this morning in the ship channel 100m
south of the piers. There was a frenzy of Red-breasted Mergansers,
Double-crested Cormorants, Herring and Ring-billed Gulls, and approximately a
dozen Common Loons feeding on schools of Emerald Shiners.

After being very elusive most of the day, the adult Pacific Loon molting
into winter plumage at Oshawa Harbour reappeared at about 3:50 p.m. and
remained within good viewing distance until I left at 5:30 p.m. It tended to
stay close to the area between the red and green markers.

While sitting having snacks and bevs on the deck of the cottage, Rob Dobos

Thickson's road in whitby. It was with a common loon and diving regularly. It

area #9 ~2p.m. to-day. Penny and I were scouting for to-morrow's OFO trip -

I just read Brandan O'Sullivan's report on the Pacific Loon from Today.
I would like to add that the Loons were still there Today from 12:00 PM
to 1:30 PM. And not only one but two Pacific Loons.

With the strong west winds, there was a lot of action today on the east
side of the Tip of Point Pelee.
The most interesting bird was a Pacific Look that flew by from north to
south, at relatively close range. It was extremely obvious due to the

It was seen 150 yards off shore, off of the large rock jetty, on the eastern
side of the boat canal leading from the marina into the
