NO, ripping would make a perpendicular cut to the surface of the board where
as resawing makes a parallel cut. If you rip an 8 inch board in half you
have two 4 inch boards. If you resaw a 1x8 board in half you have two 1/2x8
boards. Hope this makes sense.

Well, I just got yelled at because of excessive saw dust. I have a2hp dust
collection system with a 4" hose under the table saw blade. Although far from
perfect it usually does a good job getting the saw dust. Yesterday I was using

there is one glob of tar or roof cement. It is on the top concrete step where I
