Designing Cisco Networks by Diane Tiare is certainly recommended - it is a
very focussed book and maps directly to the CCDA exam. Top Down Network
Design by Priscilla is an interesting book to read but the CCDA Exam is not
its focus.

You can build your access lists without specifying hosts by using "any" as
source & destination addresses and specify the ports for FTP & IRC.
Web-based chats may be difficult to control, and people use buddy-list

broadcast domains. Switches segment collission domains. Segmentation with
