the same thing on Mandrakre7.1. I tried the 7.2 beta and had this problem so
I thought it was a problem with Mandrake but appears to be licq problem

It is definitely NOT an LICQ problem. I removed the Mandrake licq RPMs,
downloaded the 85.1 tarball and compiled/ran it without any errors -- turned

optimize IDE drive access, but now I put an IDE drive in. Well, do I need
to call hdparm each boot with the same parameters to enable the
optimizations? If so, is there a file that calls hdparm automagically for

I just upgraded to gdm-2.0beta4-20mdk and xinitrc-2.4.4-28mdk. First, Gnome
wasn't selectable in the sessions entry because it didn't have read/execute
permissions set. After correcting that, when I want to use Gnome session,
all I get is twm. Not quite what I expected :-]

While using Konqueror with cooker 9-29-2000 I tried to delete 1500 files out
of a folder it was so so I couldn't stand it. It took about 10 mins..
I deleted the same files in xwc and it took less than 1 min.

I installed the latest rpm's for cooker -- an exact list is below. Now
when I try to log in I always get a wrong password message. However, if
I hit control altF1, I can still log in from the console.
