This is not as simple to do as it sounds. It takes
discipline with mic technique and voice projection BEFORE
you apply any digital processor "magic". Garbage in -
Garbage out!

I agree with you, Karl.
I have been trying to figure out why someone would want a
700Hz filter myself.
When I want to tune CW "casually", I use my 8 pole 1.8 SSB
filters in the main and sub and tighten the DSP to around
700-800Hz. Good dual use filter for me, very versatile!

Hi Stan:
Do you already have the Alpha Delta?
I had a DX-DD for years, then purchased a DX-LB. Both
worked well, and were EXTREMELY robust. These things are
built to survive a nuclear attack. Consequenty, they are
heavy. The wires kink and no ammount of stretching seems to
make them unkink.
I *REALLY* like Guy's "Blue Sky" proposal, Wayne and Eric.
I would seriously consider getting rid of my trusty and very
economical to operate ALS600 with AD5X QSK Mod and MFJ998
tuner system for something like this for my next station
upgrade in a few years.

Add my vote for the Yamaha CM500.
I have retired my BM5-4, BM10-4 and my Koss SB40 modified
with a DX4 capsule and moved my ProSet DX4 to the "portable"
kit.
I use the CM500 exclusively now with great results, plus, my
glasses small piano wire frame legs dont cause creases in my
temples anymore.
I would LOVE to have a Kenwood-AT300-Like press of the ANT
TUNE button on the K3 panel to start an automatic tune
cycle on my K3/ALS600/MFJ998 combo. That would be perfect!
My TUNE POWER is set to 10w. This makes between 40 to 60w
on the ALS600. Using the TUNE press and hold method, the

Paul:
By "trips the amp" do you mean that the TR relay on the amp
does not engage when you tune with the TUNE button (Press
and hold)?
How are you feeding your amp/radio PTT? Do you use a
footswitch? Do you have a Microkeyer? Are you running the
footswitch to the microkeyer or to the radio?
