What the iPad really is, it's a way for schools to save tons of money on

When you plug in a high speed USB disk you wouldn't expect the data to be
handled via rs232 emulation would you?

I did the DSP board exchange and my serial number (without any input from
me) is still 1516. So it is stored somewhere else besides on the DSP board.

Don't forget that the LP Pan allows you to run the SDR-IF software suite.
To me it's like having another radio(with band stacking registers!) to
compare my K3 to. When I have my K3 on, I do all the tuning around with
SDF-IF. My K3's knobs are hardly ever used

Ah, you can quell the text decoded display to revert to the VFO B (which
is default, I think). Text decode is not default.

Good point. The Utility will let you snap a baseline of your rig
settings, today.
What may be easier to use also is, upon finalizing your settings on the
K3, you snap the baseline of the config via the Utility.
Time passes and you screw up your K3 config.. you get it out of wack and
want to
on the elecraft web site.

Mike, I see the same thing. My Autek says my antenna is 2.5:1, the K3
(#476) says 1.2:1 at the same frequency (numbers mentioned were on
40M).
My Palstar SWR meter pretty much agrees with the Autek.
