RE: lingo-l replace string question

but i posted the question becuase i asumed there must be much more efficient way to do it In addition to PregEx if you're in DMX'04 you could create a JavaScript syntax regular expression object and do all this a bit faster and cleaner. Cheers, Tom Higgins - Technical Product Manager

RE: lingo-l StartMovie Problem

And since timeout objects get system calls as timeout object generated in the beginsprite event would exist when the startMovie call is sent out and if the timeout object does not specifically trap for a startMovie call that gets passed along to the movie script. The result is 2 startMovie

Luke, Can you also confirm the safari/ shockwave mouseDown bug is still present in Safari 2.0 under tiger? (you can test it here http://www.lingoworkshop.com/testzone/mousedownbug.php) This appears to be fixed. Your movie always shows me mouseDown when I click, no need to move the mouse (I

How does the OS X string look like, and more interesting Tigers? dunno about tiger, but for 10.3: put (the environment).platform -- Macintosh,PowerPC put (the environment).osVersion -- Macintosh OS 10.3.8 And as might be expected it's a simple extension to how it appears on Tiger

While you are looking at tiger, can you confirm that the safari/ shockwave 3d offset bug is still present in Safari 2.0 under tiger? Yes, and what's worse is that it seems to be even more exagerated than before. Ugh... :( We've been in recent contact with Apple regarding this (we've pushed

RE: lingo-l [Slightly OT] cd/dvd-rom path on OS X

2005-04-12 Thread Thomas Higgins
Thanx, I'll try this. Shockwave can read files that are below a folder named dswmedia, so I've placed my videos on a dvd beneath a folder named dswmedia, workes like a charm when the paths are correct. In the case of DVD media you don't need a dswMedia folder at all, the security sandbox has

RE: lingo-l newObject and mouse wheel

2005-04-06 Thread Thomas Higgins
unfortunately mouseWheel didn't work at all. Oh well. Thanks anyway, Valentin. I think I'll note that on the wish list... I believe this is because of the fact that Director/Shockwave first trap mouse events and process them as needed (per your movie's code), then events are forwarded on

Havok has dropped sw3d support and MM no longer distribute the havok xtra with the authoring tool or the shockwave installer. That's not completely true. It is true that the Havok Xtra is no longer delivered with authoring but it is still available as part of the Shockwave Player. Last year

RE: lingo-l How to wait for a callback....

2005-03-10 Thread Thomas Higgins
Lars, You can't sit in a repeat loop as no other code gets serviced while doing that, thus the Flash Asset Xtra (which you are using in this case) doesn't get serviced and therefore cannot issue the expected callback. In the case you are describing it seems that you'll need to either use frames or

Thanks God, i figured out the solution now.little later - only for the exe... . What might that be? But the published shockwave in browser-ie- still looks awkward. Just as I asked with projectors, how are you having your Shockwave movie stretch if at all? What specifically do you mean

Biju, I have a w3d sprite with a size 320x240 in the stage. In the authoring mode, i can see the sprite in its original size. But when i create a projector, the sprite gets zoomed to fill the mnitor size, as i opted for fullscreen, no title, no window, no border etc... I think more

Does anyone know if it is a setting i've missed ... Check out the Movie tab of the Property Inspector, there's a field for Channels if in normal view or an entry for lastChannel if in list view. This sets the total number of sprites your movie will use (note that this number is only editable in
