I am trying to figure out hoe to customize my screensaver with either
klock or xlock
(or anything else that may be better...). I am running the Blackbox GUI
with kde enabled.

The above should tell you what ide devices are installed. You can then
input the device name into the following, "fdisk -l /dev/device name here"
and that will tell you what partitions reside on that ide device.
Try disabling the screensaver. If that doesn't do it, you can download a
program called WinTop which tells you all processes that are running, even
the hidden system ones.

presented with when booting into run level 5. From what I can tell xdm is run
at start up. I tried adding it to the the Xsessions file in /etc/X11/xdm but

Sounds like hardware or memory perhaps. Try eliminating potential problem
areas one at a time. Make sure all connections are tight and inserted
correctly. Open the computer and verify or even remove and reinsert all
cards. Especially check the memory modules and cache module for a tight fit.
