You might want to check the /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0 file. There should be a line "ONBOOT=yes" that tells linux to load the interface at boot-up there is also a help file on the "network-scripts" directory at http://www.redhat.com/support/docs/howto/sysconfig.html

To get Caldera, and every other Linux I assume, you add append = "mem=128M" to you lilo.conf witch is probably in your /etc directory, then go to a terminal window and typr /sbin/lilo , and finally reboot. If you already have an append statement, just put a space between the last thin in
