drive. My floppy(not my zip) has worked in the past under Redhat 6.0.
They both show up now in the mnt directory but show their device as
/mnt/zip or /mnt/floppy(which ever) ; I thought this unusual (should be
hdc or fd0)

Type gcc -o ps ps.c
The middle ps will then be the name of the executable. This can be changed to

Hang on you don't need to decompress them do you? I know in KDE you just use
the tar.gz file, maybe it's the same in enlightenment. It's been a while since
I last used it so I'm not too sure. Try placeing the files in
~/.enlightenment/themes.

At long last i am attempting to use linux as my desktop for just about
everythin. One off the final parts of this decision was the porting off
specific games to linux. My question is, through research i have come to the
conclusion that the best 3d card for me to get fo gaming purposes( quake 3,

After installing MDK 7.0 from the installation disk, kppp works fine.
After I install some package from the Contributors disk, I can't get
kppp to work. It dials and logs into my ISP just fine. Then when pppd
tries to start, it immediately quits. I think that it is trying to use
/dev/pts/?
to my original configuration did it all work well
again.

I've been trying to install KDE 1.9 beta. I have them on disc as tar files.
The problem I get is when trying to configure the kde-qt-1.90 package I get the

thinks that the PC has 64Mb of RAM. In fact there are 512Mb RAM.

Loaded Mandrake 7.0 on a Thinkpad 760XL and used RPM to install
StarOffice and Apache. Now I can't find them. They don't show up in
any KDE application menus and the only icon that shows for StarOffice
just runs the installer. I've done that twice and can't find the
application.

with the timeout option but it has no effect. Therefore the waiting time
command must be within another file but where?
