To Jen-FeLV vaccination of recovered cat
Hi Jen, I don't think that the FeLV vaccine will have any effect due to her history. The vaccination will not help prevent the virus from kicking in if she's already carrying it. However, that being said, if she is an indoor cat only, I wouldn't waste my time or money vaccinating her. If she doesn't come into contact with other cats, she can't contract it. Many of us here do not vaccinate, especially considering some cancers are associated with vaccinating. And since she's had the antibodies, I'm not even sure she can contract it (again?). Unfortunately, there isn't enough research on FeLV yet to know all the answers. :) Wendy __ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo! Mail has the best spam protection around http://mail.yahoo.com
To Jen-P.S.
P.S. Jen-make sure you have at least one good pic of Allie; take some tonight if you are able. And also, if you are able to, be there with her when she crosses. It's horrible but at the same time, will be an honor and a blessing to both of you, if that makes any sense. Take care Jen and give little Allie hugs from all of us. Hey Jen
Hey Jen, Man, I know that awful feeling of going to a job(s) that you hate!!! It is a horrible feeling. I'm right there with you at this point in my life. And then getting into trouble on top of that... I read a book last month called "Who Moved My Cheese" and it helped me, because my attitude really stunk. I'm not saying yours does. But when I'm not happy with my life, my attitude is not as positive, and this book helped me with that. Also, there's another book called "48 days to the Work You Love" which you might look into. It doesn't sound like you have much time to read, but maybe you could read to Zack. He might like to hear about mice. lol. I don't know how shelter employees/volunteers do what they do either. It IS heartbreaking, and I can't understand how people surrender their pets either. But I know this. In time, all will work itself out. Just be patient and gentle with yourself, and don't lose hope. If you need to vent, I'm always here. :) Wendy __ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo! Mail has the best spam protection around http://mail.yahoo.com
Re: Jen: OT: New journey-laying tile!!!
Re the odor in the concrete: If you can find OdoBan (Sam's Club is my only source but I am sure it is available elsewhere) use it (maybe extra strength) Really soak the concrete with it. Much better than bleach and without the awful smell. I've used it on odors that were worse that cat spray (yes there are such things) including a dog who got into it with a skunk. It works and has a flowered smell. It is some combination of natural odor eaters. It is great. Re: Jen: OT: New journey-laying tile!!!
I haven't made it thru all the emails re tile but two thoughts that may have come up: Chose the color of the grout wisely. White and really dark colors show every pit of anything, including cat hair. And the white stains horribly. Get extra tile to keep in case you break some in the future dropping stuff. Like cans of cat food. It will chip. It takes just the right blow but Make sure and seal and reseal the stuff. BTW, you can replace the "fix" in that last sentence with just about anything else I've tried: lay tile? install laminate flooring? replace ceiling fixtures? install electric wall sconces? put in new sinks? :) Anyway, a simple "fixer-uper" with the toilet turned into having to replace the entire gasket which turned into having to buy a hammer drill and cement to afix the gasket because we have cement sub-flooring! It took a whole d*mn weekend, but I fixed the rock, darn it! :) As for the sub-flooring for the tile, we didn't have to do anything to ours as it was already pretty level...I know you can buy some kind of cement to spread over low spots...and you can also buy sheets of some kind of sub-flooring if the floor is really bad, but I'm not sure how to install those! The video, I think, covers most of that! Our kitchen and bathrooms had that vinyl sheet flooring (very, very old judging by the pattern). :) The video actually recommended just tiling over any old vinyl flooring as the glue underneath could have asbestos. they make that stuff called 'kilz' that is supposed to seal in any smell. but i don't know if you could put vinyl on top of it since it's a sealer. here they laid down the concrete backerboard stuff. they had pulled up carpet and it was plain plywood underneath. twendy <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: You were right to think that Jen. With the vinyl, we just pulled the top layer off and left the bottom layer with the glue attached to the floor. I was afraid the mortar wouldn't stick to the glossy surface of the vinyl. It should separate pretty easily and it's alot faster than trying to scrape all the glue off the floor! That's a good tip about the straws! I wish I had known that when I replaced both of our toilets! ;) "But if you tame me, then we shall need each other. To me, you will be unique in all the world. I'm confused...did you pull the vinyl/laminate up and then lay tile, or did you just lay tile over the vinyl? I know what you mean about the toilet thing. The guy at Home Depot just gave me a pointer. He said that when replacing wax seals on toilets, which is really easy to mess up, put two straws on top of those two bolts on either side to guide the toilet down, so you don't mess the wax seal up by trying to find them. That way, your toilet won't rock like ours does now after we fixed it! lol. Neat tip... --- [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: > Hee, hee! I know what you mean about doing it > yourself! Oh! One more tip! When you start laying tile, I'd start in a bathroom or hallway...you know, some place small and out of the way! It's not easy to screw up tile...you've got all kinds of time to fix it until the mortar sets, but best to get the feel for it somewhere where it won't be noticable! :) "But if you tame me, then we shall need each other. Hey Jen, Thanks for the tips!!! If I can talk my husband into doing it (and I can be very persuasive...lol), then we will definitely be buying those knee pads. Thanks for the mortar tip too. I can't believe I am starting to look forward to this-I hated the idea two weeks ago. Did you guys have to prep your floor (ie. even it out, etc.) before you laid the tile? :) Wendy --- [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: > Hey Wendy! > > Tiling isn't all that difficult, just a little > time-consuming! :) > We've done our kitchen and 2 bathrooms > ourselves...first thing that > comes to mind: invest in those knee-pad thingys > they sell at Home Depot > or Lowes! Re: TESTING--Jen--water garden!
Heehee! The little pond actually started out as just a fountain with a couple of fake flowers...I was getting tired of cleaning it out every week because of the algae growth (and couldn't use an algae killer because a couple of the neighborhood cats like to use the fountain as their own personal "watering hole"... ;) )! Anyhoo, I was at Home Depot and discovered they had live water lilies for sale! Well, that jump-started my curiosity as to what else I could put in the little pond! I found a great website: http://familyfun.go.com/parenting/learn/activities/feature/famf010302_summer/famf010302_fishpond.html It explained how to build your own little inexpensive, self-sustained water garden! I'm surprised by how obsessed I've become with it! ;) It really is a treat...fortunately, our front window sits close to the ground, so I put the pond just in front of it for all to see! So whenever I'm working on my computer (which is right next to the window) and start getting stressed, I can just look over at the little goldfish and space out for a moment! :) "But if you tame me, then we shall need each other. Re: Jen-- How is Ewok?
Jen, You might want to stop the pred and give dex/depo shots instead. The depo is instead of pred, and is stronger and longer lasting. The fact that Ewok went two weeks or so without needing another depo shot says to me that he is not near the end yet. I would strongly suggest, if he is still not well tomorrow, taking him to the local vet and getting another dex/depo shot (or if all you got before was a dex shot, to ask for a combo dex/depo shot). Two weeks is not too soon for that when they have cancer. If you do these shots instead of pred, he will eventually need them every few days in order to keep feeling good, and that means it is getting closer to the end. But two weeks is not that short a time to need another one, in terms of lymphoma. So I would do it. Here's hoping Ewok feels better soon, Michelle

Re: Jen-- How is Ewok?
Thanks, Michelle! Yep, Ewok is on daily pred...I actually took him to the oncologist this morning (his next appointment wasn't until next week) because he wasn't feeling well and (I believe) vomited last night... :( The tumor in his belly is crazy aggressive...the oncologist gave him a round of elspar as he responded well to that one before X-mas...but now that I think about it (as he wants to see Ewok in 2 weeks), the only reason Ewok was able to go two weeks between visits was because I gave him a dex shot when he started feeling bad about a week after the elspar shot...good thing I didn't cancel his appointment for next week! ;) So I asked the oncologist what I should expect as it would seem (to me, anyway) that the abdominal tumor will eventually win out as Ewok can barely make it a week between treatments. He surprised me by saying he isn't any more pessimistic than he was a few months ago (although I would have felt better if he had said "less optimistic"... ;) )...The oncologist still has a few tricks up his sleeve, so as long as Ewok is game, I'll continue to tote his skinny little butt back and forth between appointments. Ewok is just so cute, he's so used to the car by now...he sits shot-gun and watches the tree-tops go by...man, I'm going to miss this little boy!! :( Warm thoughts to Lucy and Patches!! Good luck with the raw! Several of my guys really enjoy it and I do think it's better for them...I always try to repay the favor that the chicken or turkey did for my guys by rescuing any critters (except for palmetto bugs...can't bring myself to rescue them just yet) that the cats may corner (mostly lizards and snakes)...Maggie got her paws on a lizard last week and I had to remind her that the turkey she just ate gave its life so that that little lizard could lead a long, fruitful life! :) Take care, Jen "But if you tame me, then we shall need each other. Hi, Jen. I have been reading your posts to others and wondering how Ewok is doing. Has he reacted, good or bad, to the CCNU? Has he needed additional dex shots? I don't remember when you did the combo shot, but he could possibly need another depo shot as well at some point I am hoping that no news means good news! Michelle

Re: Jen-- how is Ewok doing?
One thing I always question myself about is whether it was worth letting Simon go through the very rough days he went through at times during those two months in order to have the good days he had during that period. While he was alive it definitely seemed worth it, but since then I have questioned it at times-- I was talking to my mom today about Simon and she asked me if it was worth putting him through the 5 day hospitalization and the transfusions and the chemo for the time he had, and I was not sure. But reading about Ewok, I have no doubt that even though he has felt sick and been at the vet recently, the fun he is having now is worth it, and Simon had similar fun in his last weeks. So reading about Ewok has helped me some in that way. Chemo, when it works, can help for longer than the steroid shots. But the steroid shots make them feel so good so quickly and do not make them feel bad at all, that they are a gentler way to fight the cancer and give them quality of life, in a way. When I wonder if I put Simon through too much, it is the hospitalization and transfusions and chemo I wonder about, never the steroids. But of course without the former he would not have survived long enough to get the steroids and have all that fun in his last weeks. So I don't know. It is all so painful after they are gone, whatever we do. Love Ewok as much as you possibly can now, while he is running around being silly. Michelle In a message dated 12/21/2005 4:01:37 P.M. Such a nice Christmas present, to be thinking of you and little Ewok enjoying your vacation together! Thanks for letting us know how you guys are doing. N [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: LOL! Re: Jen-- how is Ewok doing?
Oh, Jen, I am so overjoyed to hear he is feeling better and that you have him with you there and he is having such a good time!! I was really worried that your not having emailed meant he was doing worse. It is so, so great that you have a vet who was willing to give you a dex shot to take with you. Most vets will not do that. My own vets would not give them to me, and I only was able to get them from a vet who is a friend of a friend, and that is the only reason I was able to give Simon the extra dex shots that helped pull him through that time-- the oncologist wanted me to drive him 45 minutes each way while he was feeling completely terrible to get any additional shots, and to wait two days to do it because it was a weekend, which I thought was ludicrous since they were sub-q and I have given many shots. The oncologist ended up being glad Simon got the extra dex shots and was not at all annoyed that the other vet gave then to me. Anyway, I am so glad to hear you have such a great vet!! So how long are you in Chicago for? I agree that it is best to take things day by day while he is feeling good. I would recommend, though, when you get back, that you discuss with the oncologist whether he thinks the chemo drugs that he has been using are still working at all or not, and if not ask about using CCNU instead for a round or two or more. If you google CCNU you should be able to find studies and information showing that about 50% of cats who become resistant to the other chemo drugs can go back into remission for a while with CCNU, sometimes for months at a time. At least, that is what I remember-- it was almost a year ago that I did the research. Anyway, thank you so much for updating us! I feel a little holiday cheer now for the first time in days! I hope you and Ewok continue to have a good holiday! Love, Michelle In a message dated 12/21/2005 1:37:07 P.M. Eastern Standard Time, [EMAIL PROTECTED] writes: Hi Michelle! Thanks for the email! I have been thinking about him. Symptoms any better? Did the vet try the steroid shots? Any talk of using CCNU? Did the last chemo shot (the one that starts with E, can't remember the name) do anything? I am hoping for the best, but worried that things are bad since you have not written. Jen, I am certainly hoping and crossing my fingers. If he does not improve from the elspar, you might want to ask about CCNU also (the oncologist). Jen, I would ask the vet to teach you how to do subcutaneous fluids at home, if you don't already know how to do it, so you don't need to keep taking him in. If he is in really bad shape it is true that IV fluids get into his system faster, but longer-term it seems like sub-q fluids should be enough, to me (though I am no doctor)... Hi Michelle! Thanks so much...I'm going to be taking Ewok into his regular vet tomorrow morning for fluids and to pull the catheter that's been in his arm since Monday...I spoke with our vet just a few minutes ago and mentioned the combo shot...she hadn't heard of the two being used in combo, but she's willing to try anything for Ewok, so if the chemo doesn't do any good, we'll give the steroids a shot. Re: Jen-- how is Ewok doing?--Another tumor
oh, and they can be administered subcutaneously or intramuscularly. The oncologist gave them to Simon intramuscularly, and I gave the follow-up dex shots subcutaneously. IM is faster than sub-q in terms of absorbtion rate. Michelle
Re: Jen-- how is Ewok doing?--Another tumor
1/2 cc Dexamethasone and 1/2 cc depomedrol. Though the norm, when giving Depomedrol, is to give a whole cc at one time, and I have done that as well because some vets insist that is the right amount if you give depo at all. But the vet who taught me about doing the combo shots uses 1/2 cc of each. If it works, you wait to give the next one until the symptoms come back. It can be anywhere from weeks to days to somewhere in between. If the shot does nothing for him, he probably is in bad shape. When Simon was really bad, the oncologist gave him a dex shot and a depo shot. I do not remember if he did 1/2 cc of each or 1 cc of each. Simon did not get better that day, and I had 2 dex shots at home (from the vet who had taught me about them with my other two), and with the oncologist's knowledge I gave him a dex shot (1 cc, think, but it might have been 1/2 cc) the following day and, I think, the day after. When he did not respond, I thought it was all over. But two days later he sat up and asked for food and water and by the next day was running around. What I think happened was that, for Simon, the cancer was in his liver and bone marrow and so he was sick due to very high liver bilirubin levels and very low hematocrit. What I think happened is that the dex and depo shots did work right away in terms of shrinking the lymphoma in the liver and bone marrow, but it took him a few days to process the high bilirubin levels out of his system and make enough red blood cells to bring his hematocrit back up. So I think he may have had less cancer right after the shots, but I did not know that because it took him a few days to actually feel better, if that makes sense. With Josephine and Buddy, who had cancer in different places, the dex and depo shots always worked within 3 or 4 hours until their last days when the shots did not work at all. So I guess I would ask for a combined dex/depo shot of either 1/2 cc of each or 1 cc of each. If it works, I would expect to see a difference within 24 hours for sure. Since he does not have high liver or kidney values or as far as we know lymphoma in his bone marrow, I would assume that if the steroids are going to work they would make him feel better pretty quickly-- that the shrinking of the tumors itself would make him feel better. The one possible side effect of strong steroids, short-term, is diabetes. But it is very rare for that to happen in the short-term and usually is a long-term effect. Given Ewok's situation, I do not think there is a down-side to trying the steroids. Or to trying CCNU. If your oncologist has reservations about using dex/depo combination shots on him, you can tell him to call the oncologist who treated Simon. I have not been in touch with him for months, but he is a really nice guy and I am sure he will remember what happened and be willing to talk about it. His name is Jeff Philibert and he is at NEVOG in MA (New England Veterinary Oncology Group). He did research on heavy steroid use in cats before agreeing to do the shots. The other thing is that your oncologist would probably agree there is not much of a down-side to trying at this point, if the Elspar does not help (which hopefully it will). Re: Jen-- how is Ewok doing?--Another tumor
I'm sorry, Jen! That's horrible. Josephine did get tumors in her intestines secondary to tumors on her kidneys, and she lived a couple months with them just getting those shots, without even any chemo. The dex would visibly shrink the tumor within just a few hours. The day that the shot did not do that or make her start eating, I knew it was the end, and she went into respiratory distress a few hours later. You can also ask the oncologist about CCNU. It is a chemo drug that they use when cats come out of remission from the other chemo agents. It is synthetic, so cats get resistant to it more slowly. When the dex/depo shot got Simon to the point he could get more chemo, he got CCNU. That and the shots are what made him feel so great for the month. A few weeks after getting the CCNU, when his blood work showed him near remission again, he got Adriamycin for the first time, and a week later had a sudden auto-immune reaction and killed all his red blood cells and died. I do not know if it was a reaction to the cancer or to the Adriamycin. But I do know that the dex/depo shots and the CCNU worked wonders on the cancer together, and I wished afterwards that the oncologist had given him CCNU again rather than Adriamycin (though he insisted the auto-immune response was to the cancer and would have happened anyway). I read that about 50% of cats who have come out of remission go back into remission from CCNU, I think. I also do not think it is as harsh on the system as Adriamycin. I think that Belinda's Buddie, who had intestinal lymphoma I think (not sure), did well on CCNU also. But I think she had the small cell slow-growing kind of lymphoma, which is different than what Ewok has. Jen, I think there is little hope that Ewok is going to be cured of this. But I do think there is hope that might be able to feel well for another few weeks or months, and that there is some chance that with stronger steroids and something like CCNU he could go into remission, and a smaller chance that the remission could last a year or more as has happened in some cases. I would not expect this to happen, because I do not think it is the norm with positive cats, but I do not think you are expecting it. But I would certainly hope and pray for it at this point (and I am hoping and praying for it), because it could and has happened. Michelle In a message dated 12/16/2005 3:15:53 P.M. Jen, If it is another tumor, ask for the combo dex/depo shot to see if it will help. Combined with chemo, it helped Simon for an extra month and made him feel really good. It also suppresses nausea and increases appetite, besides shrinking the tumor temporarily. Michelle In a message dated 12/16/2005 12:39:21 P.M. Thanks, Wendy...I appreciate that! I'm hoping, too, that he can make a turn-around...but I still have an awful feeling that it's a tumor that's causing the problems. I guess I'll have to wait and see what the oncologist suggests, but we didn't have much luck with Ewok's brother's (Pips') intestinal lymphoma, so it's hard to be optimistic... :( And you're absolutely right about Michelle...I don't know what I'd do without her and her little fur-angel Simon! You're right...I guess I think of non-regenetive anemia when I think about activating the virus! Anyhoo, Ewok is still at the oncologist's (I'm at home)...the oncologist thinks it could be one of two things: either a reaction to the chemo (in which case, we keep supporting him), or, at worst, a tumor has formed in his belly. Ewok is getting an ultra-sound right now, so we should know soon what we're dealing with. Oh, Michelle, No! Please don't feel guilty, you have no reason to!! At the very least, the chemo has given me 3 more wonderful months with my boy! If I had it to do all over again, I would make the same decision! I just wish I could understand what's going on...you have echoed the sentiments of my vet who is just at a loss as to why he's having such a severe reaction...perhaps the oncologist will be able to figure it out! Could the high white cell count indicate that the cancer is spreading? I will let you know what happens when I get back! All the best, Jen "But if you tame me, then we shall need each other. Jen, I'm praying for him. I don't really understand about the white blood cell count-- if anything, chemo usually makes that go down. It seems like he has an infection now? I am really sorry if you did chemo partially because I recommended it and he is having this reaction. Jen, I am really sorry he is having so many symptoms. Is there any talk of giving the chemo a rest until he feels better? It is ok to give beneficial bateria while giving antibiotics, and it is in fact recommended. You just need to make sure you give it a few hours before or after the antibiotic doses so it does not get killed right away. I would definitely try the slippery elm. Re: Jen
Jen! What a trip! 55 hours! I want to tell you your letter arrived today - thanks SO MUCH for the St Christopher's medals and prayers - they're wonderful, I really appreciate it! I was driving back from Memphis Saturday evening, took 3 Siamese to the rescue there. Driving rain, just missed a tornado (been missing them here in Arkansas all my life), driving took twice as long as it should have. If you ever need anything in Arkansas, just call me - I know folks all over the state. I do think it's nice here for hurricane folks - Friday night I was in Memphis overnight, and thought that motel we stayed at (on the freeway) had jacked up the prices. Brother! While I'm sure there are places with the regular prices, there are lots of places here in Little Rock that are doing half price and freebies for people from LA, TX, MS, and AL, which is nice. Haven't seen any fuel shortages here either. The Rivermarket area is a pleasant place - nice to walk around, places to eat I've been busy with a new foster puppy, sick cats, sick relatives, papers to grade, etc. Because of the puppy I now mop the bathroom floor every morning. Sigh. Cute little dickens though. Anyhow - glad you're back home and ok - Gloria At 11:46 AM 9/30/2005, you wrote: Hi Guys! We're back! OOPS! That last message got away from me. Anyway, I can't imagine what 50 hours in the car with all my cats and dogs would be like! The sad thing is, you had no way of knowing how bad it would be. I think, no matter how bad it was, you were right to evacuate. If you had been wrong you would have been faced with the dilemma of evacuating without your animals! I'm glad you don't have much damage. And I'm glad you got to have some beers and go out one night. lol. Relax this weekend! Take care, tonya --- [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: > Hi Guys! > > We're back! Re: Jen----Nutrical
Hi Lisa! Yep, it's a supplement that can be taylored for supplemental use, or for guys that aren't eating much (if anything) at all! Like I said, it just comes in a tube (kinda like toothpaste)...if you're able to get your finger in kitty's mouth (as opposed to the syringe, which takes a little getting used to, I admit), then this may be the way to go! Good luck! "But if you tame me, then we shall need each other. To me, you will be unique in all the world. To you, I shall be unique in all the world; You become responsible, forever, for what you have tamed..." --Antoine de Saint-Exupéry "If you talk to the animals they will talk with you and you will know each other. Re: Jen----Nutrical
I have a cat who is negative, but he doesn't want to eat either. My homeopathic vet recommends a supplement called Amino B-Plex. It has amino acids, B vitamins to stimulate the appetite, potassium, iron, a few other things that aren't familiar to me. It's a liquid, and they seem to like it. You just squirt it in their mouth. It doesn't have sodium benzoate, which is a preservative that isn't OK for cats (even tho a lot of cat products use it) I don't know how high calorie it is, but I am wondering how many calories are in a tablespoon of nutrical and what that actually translates to for a cat? The website listed on the bottle is www.naturaldvm.com if anyone is interested. Janine --- Elizabeth Paz <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > > I've never heard of Nutrical, is it a food > supplement? Jen----Nutrical
I've never heard of Nutrical, is it a food supplement? This sounds very good and quite easy to give, at this point I am willing to try anything. Thank you so much, I will be picking up a tube tomorrow. style='FONT-SIZE:11px;FONT-FAMILY:tahoma,sans-serif'>size=1> From: [EMAIL PROTECTED]Reply-To: felvtalk@felineleukemia.orgTo: felvtalk@felineleukemia.orgSubject: Re: RE: Lisa--NutricalDate: Wed, 31 Aug 2005 12:16:34 -0500>This is a good way to administer Nutrical, if it hasn't been suggested>already! RE: For Jen: Innova dry--no grains!--dog vs. cat
Title: Message I'm having a tough time deciding, too, whether or not I want to switch *everyone* over! My guys also eat Wellness canned and dry...and they've *all* done really well on it (it's the first time in a long time that I haven't had litter box "issues")! But I've also gone back to raw food for one meal out of the day...so that could be the reason they're doing great, as well! I like that Innova EVO has added beneficial bacteria (like Wellness) to their dry food (I think that helps control litter box "issues"...:) )...Like I said, I haven't gotten a price, yet, on a bag of EVO...that could very well be the deciding factor as to all of them getting it, or just Lola! :) If you have a problem getting a sample, and you'd like one...just let me know and I can pick up a few and send them to you! My kennel doesn't actually carry the EVO cat food yet...they're seeing how fast the samples go, etc before they stock it...but I'm hoping they can order a bag for me (if I decide to go with it) with their normal shipment! -Original Message-From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of MacKenzie, Kerry N.Sent: Tuesday, April 12, 2005 10:17 AMTo: felvtalk@felineleukemia.orgSubject: RE: For Jen: Innova dry--no grains!--dog vs. cat Thanks--I'll look at it and compare the labels with the Wellness I use-- I'll try and get a sample tonight when I pick up my Wellness. I believe the main difference between foods geared towards cats as opposed to dogs is the protein/carb ratio...dogs just don't need the amount of protein that cats do (can cause kidney problems in dogs)...cats are pretty darned close to true carnivores whereas dogs will eat darned near anything (I can attest to that)! :) -Original Message-From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of MacKenzie, Kerry N.Sent: Tuesday, April 12, 2005 9:10 AMTo: felvtalk@felineleukemia.orgSubject: For Jen: Innova dry--no grains! I'll be calling the petsitter to let her know. Hi All! I just wanted to mention that Innova has finally come out with a dry food for cats with NO grains (they've had a dry food for dogs w/ no grains out for awhile now)! I just picked up a sample at the kennel where I pick up the cats' raw food...the cats love it! Let me know if anyone wants to see an ingredient list...I haven't gotten a price on a bag...but it's nice to know that I've got a choice with dry food now! :) Jen This email and any files transmitted with it are confidential and intended solely for the use of the individual or entity to whom they are addressed. For Jen: Innova dry--no grains!
Title: For Jen: Innova dry--no grains! This is such a strange coincidence---I called a potential petsitter yesterday, and she was waxing lyrical about her dry food of choice for her cats---grainless Innova Evo dog food (I've never bought Innova and had never heard of 'Evo'). She really was giving it the hard sell. When I asked her about the equivalent cat food, she said Innova hadn't got around to producing the cat food yet.
