Shutting down the interface will work. However, clearing the route table
tells the route process to start over. If it starts over, it has no idea

Group,
Has anyone used both concentrator 3000 and checkpoint vpn (either software
or hardware)? What are each's advantages and disadvantages? I am interested
in the following factors: Ease of installation and configuration, security,
manageability, reporting and logging, scalability, and pricing.
I must be missing something. Does anyone have an example of netbios name
filtering that works. I have spend countless hours on this and for some
reason i can seem to filter the names...
Thanks,
Dennis

In the instance where the RII indicator is a 1 the

To comment of the above, the RII bit doesn't indicate whether the frame is a

Can you send us your configs. In theory, Cisco's RIP is supposed to do a
triggered update. When R1 loses its connection it should advertise the
network as unreachable (16 hops). This should put the route into holddown
on the other routers. I'm wondering if you've got some sort of weird
configs
In binary, 2922 is 0010 1001 0010 0010. Bit #11 being set to "on" is what
makes this a "9" vs. the standard "1" This changes the console speed to
4800 bps. That's all.

I believe the reason for this is the same reason that you can't hook a modem
to your console port. The "Ready-To-Send", and "Clear-To-Send" signals
don't exist on the console port, thus, no flow control. This is the big
physical difference between the console and aux port; the aux port provides
This makes no sense.

Hi Priscilla:
Here are the configs. Not much to 'em, I can ping everywhere, it's just
that the routers don't seem to want to put the route into holddown. Thanks
for your help!
