software upgrade for Cat5505 switch for each module? [7:37382]

2002-03-06 Thread Sim, CT (Chee Tong)

Hi.. I want to upgrade my catalyst 5505 switch (set based switch). I have
never done it for set based cat5505 before and I found that there are a lot
of modules in my switch, eg two supervisor module and two 10/100TX Ethernet,
one RSM. Do I have upgrade the IOS for every modules?

I found that when I type show flash, I got only binary file
cat5000-sup3.5-1-1.bin. Can I just download the binary file from web eg

cat5000-sup3.5-5-7a.bin and then upgrade by typing copy tftp flash. Will

cat5000-sup3.5-5-7a.bin overwrite the old cat5000-sup3.5-1-1.bin or there
will be two copy of binary file in the flash.

I saw there are a few type of flash code eg Catalyst 5000 Supervisor G Flash
Code, Catalyst 5000 Supervisor 3 Flash Code, and Catalyst 5000 Supervisor
Flash Code. Can I use any one of them.

Thanks

force a AS5300 involment in a VOIP-VOIP call [7:37385]

2002-03-06 Thread TP

Dear Group,
In h323 enviroment I have to " bill" all the calls, VOIP calls too.
The billing system is "synchronized" with AS5300 and not with the Gatekeeper.
The question is "is there a way to force the intra voip calls (H323) through
the AS5300"?

Any idea

Thanks in advance,
Teresa

You don't disable STP on the port to the PC because
STP is only run between Layer2 devices.
I believe you are referring to PortFast.

certificationZone Bridging White paper ! [7:37393]

2002-03-06 Thread Phil Barker

Just been re-reading this paper by David Wolfsener.
See SNIP below.

In the instance where the RII indicator is a 1 the
frame will be 'source routed' if the frame is 'source
routed' then surely this implies that the RIF must be
manipulated in order to reflect the true Source Route
!!! I havn't got my 'Interconnections' with me so I
cannot confirm.

Any ideas ?

Phil.

>>> SNIP

Source Route Transparent Bridging (SRT)

SRT works by analyzing the RII bit to determine if a
RIF is present. If the RII bit is 0, then a RIF is not
present and the frame is transparently bridged. If,
however, the RII bit is 1 and a RIF is present, then
the frame is source routed. Note that SRT bridges do
not add or remove RIFs to frames. By now, you ought to
wonder how to configure SRT.

RE: software upgrade for Cat5505 switch for each module? [7:37392]

2002-03-06 Thread Robertson, Douglas

Review the following document on CCO,
http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/lan/cat5000/c5krn/sw_rns/78_
6583.htm#xtocid3 the document indicates the upgrade path for Catalyst 5000
switches, it also has a table that shows which versions of CAT OS is
supported by each module. Depending on what you needs are you may have to
upgrade all the modules, the RSM runs IOS and will have different criteria
to consider when upgrading. To upgrade the module you can use the following
command : download . The download first
checks to see if the downloaded image is correct for the particular module
it then installs the image. As far as which image you would require depends
on the type of hardware you are downloading to, for the supervisor cards you
need to determine if they are supII, supIII, or supII gigabit.

Hope this helps

Doug

Sounds broken. Send it back and ask for a 1751, as the 1750 is EOL'd
anyways. In the meantime, plug into a console and check for diagnostic

RE: certificationZone Bridging White paper ! [7:37393]

2002-03-06 Thread Sexton, Ken

Phil,
The first bit within the Source Address Field is normally the I/G bit, to
define if the source address is individual (unicast) or group (multicast)
address. In an SRB bridged environment, this one bit is used to indicate if
any Routing Information Field (RIF) information is present in the Token
frame following the SA field.

This bit will be set by hosts with the SRB environment and used by bridges
to indicate the above. The hosts will keep a "forwarding table" on how to
reach any required destination host.

If the host doesn't know how to get to a particular destination, it will
send out an explorer frame (all routes explorer -ARE) or a Spanning tree
explorer (SPE) frame to locate the destination. It will depending on your
bridged environment which explorer frame is used.

The first SRB enabled bridge in the path (from originator to destination)
will see that this is an explorer packet and add its route designator (RD)
information to the RIF. The first bridge will add the first ring number,
it's bridge number, and the ring number of the interface it going to send
the explorer packet out of.

When all said and done - the host will know how to reach that particular end
host and include RIF information in the token frame. The RII, will tell the
bridge that a RIF is present and forward the frame according to the RIF RC
and RD fields.

Any ideas ?

Phil.

>>> SNIP

Dear all
We have Pc with 3Com 3c90x-Tx 10/100 Network Card. This PC is installed
with Dos 6.22 Operating System. We used to connect this to our 3com
Switch1100 with the dos driver provided by 3Com. The sequence of loading
the 3com driver to connect to 3com Switch1100 is as follows:
LSL.COM
3C90X.EXE
IPXODI.COM
NETX.EXE
F:
This is in a batch file and when we run the batch file it will connect
immediately.
The problem I am facing while connect to CISCO CATALYST 2950-24 port is that
If I am
running the same batch file it will not connect.
I have to load the LSL.COM first and port on switch to which this computer
is connected will be in Green color. But When
I will load 3c90x.exe immediately the port on the switch color becomes
amber.
I have to wait for 1 to 1.5 minutes for the port color to become green
and after that if load IPXODI.COM and NETX.EXE then it will connect.
I can see this because I am sitting in front of the Cisco Switch. In actual
the end user will run the batch file sitting somewhere in his room and he
will get a message "Novell Netware Server not
Found".
Why this delay in connecting to Novell Netware through Cisco Switch. The
same
delay is not happening while we are connecting to 3Com Switch.
We need you help and guidance to sort out this problem.

Problems with Nortel [7:37403]

2002-03-06 Thread David j

I know that this is a Cisco forum, but anybody has been working with Nortel
BPS2000 and BayStack 450?
We have bought some BPS2000 and Nortel have been having troubles with
cascade and fiber modules for a long time.
We would be interested in talking with someone who is working with this kind
of equipment.
By the way, anybody knows a Nortel forum? in the archives people said that
there is no one, but perhaps someone has new information.

Off the topic. Do you know how to cut a specific connection in a Cisco 2600?
I mean, if someone is overloading the line how can I manage to cut (only)his
connection?

I do not agree with you.

The 2922 means that the following bits are set : 1, 5, 8, 11 and 13.

If bit 8 is set, break will be enabled.
If bit 11 is set but not 12, baud rate will be 4800.

According to my config register calculator, the 9 means 9600 baud rate and
break is disabled.

RE: confreg 0x2922 ??? [7:37318]

2002-03-06 Thread Ole Drews Jensen

Well, let's see it from a different angle. Normally, the left byte is 21
hex, which is 0011 binary. Here bit 8 and 13 are set (bits 0 thru 7 are
in the right byte). This is what I normally have, and I can use BREAK, so it
must be enabled. I also use 9600 as the baud rate, so that makes sense too.
If you set bit 11, the baud rate will now change to 4800. That gives a
binary pattern of 00101001, which is 29 hex, which is what your left hex
(most significant byte) is set to.

I don't know where you got the calculator, but I would trust Cisco's
documentation (which is what I am refering to) before I would trust
someone's homemade application tool.

A good way to find out, would be to disable bit 8 (set it to 0) and try to
use BREAK. Then try to change the values of bit 11 and 12 and see what baud
rate you have to configure to talk with the router. That's not only a good
way to find out what's what, but a good exercise for your studies.

Ole

Concentrator 3030 and VPN client 3.5.1 [7:37390]

2002-03-06 Thread Elijah Savage

All,

I have put in a Cisco concentrator 3030 and flashed it to 3.5.1 and have
all my clients are using 3.5.1. I am authenticating my clients from a
Steel Belted Radius box (www.funk.com ) they are
also getting all of their configuration from this radius server also,
things like ip address, dns etc(dhcp info). What is weird is this, when
every client connects and they open the vpn client to see there client
ip address it shows the ip address as being 172.29.10.1 for every
client. But if I look on the radius box I can see that the each client
has a different ip address it just shows up on the client as
172.29.10.1. Everything is working great but I have no idea why the
client thinks it's ip address is 172.29.10.1, I would like to know where
this ip address is coming from. On the radius box we are not even using
dhcp scopes anywhere close to this.

Any help from you all would be greatly appreciated.

Also no one answered my earlier email about the new test so it must be
easy to find on the web or something but I can't seem to find anything
in reference to the new test on Cisco's training site.

if you have layer 3 connectivity, as you mentioned,
you can ping ip addresses on the internet, then you
might want to check DNS problems or misconfigurations.

RE: Cat 2950-24 [7:37374]

2002-03-06 Thread Elijah Savage

>From my knowledge if you use this command (spanning-tree portfast) on a
switch port it actually disable spanning tree for that port you should
only do this if pc's are connected. So if you enable portfast you
disable spanning tree for that port, if you disable portfast you enable
spanning tree for that port.

What this does with it enabled and a pc connected to it, it will keep
the port from going through all the spanning tree phases you know like
learning, listening, blocking etc it will take the switch 60 seconds to
figure all this out before it starts passing traffic to that port. If
portfast is enabled then it does not go through those phases and will
only take approximately 3 seconds before traffic is passing according to
Cisco. Someone please correct me if I am wrong here or missed something.
Hope that helps

You don't disable STP on the port to the PC because
STP is only run between Layer2 devices.
I believe you are referring to PortFast.

RE: confreg 0x2922 ??? [7:37318]

2002-03-06 Thread Lupi, Guy

I see your point, unfortunately I can't test it right now. Maybe the person
who posted originally could confirm whether or not break is disabled and the
console baud rate for us?

Subject: RE: confreg 0x2922 ??? [7:37318]

I have found a reason for the second '2' in this, but anyone know what the 9
is??? cisco.com says it is undefined.

We are getting this on one of the 3640's running 12.2.6c

nobody remembers setting anything differently??

RE: certificationZone Bridging White paper ! [7:37393]

Thanks Ken,

>>> SNIP2

The first SRB enabled bridge in the path (from
originator to
destination)
will see that this is an explorer packet and add its
route designator
(RD)
information to the RIF.

>>> END SNIP2

Can I therefore conclude that in a 'Source Route
Transparent' Bridge the RIF field will indeed change ?
Contrary to the whitepaper.

RE: software upgrade for Cat5505 switch for each module? [7:37413]

2002-03-06 Thread Daniel Cotts

Sup III cards require sup3 code. The versions that just say sup are for Sup
I & II cards. Sup III cards have slots for Flash Cards. If you have those,
then you can store multiple images. You must have a line in your config
something like "boot system flash: image name" If your switch goes looking
for a file that no longer exists it becomes unhappy.
Version 6 of Cat code requires 64 MB of DRAM. There may also be a Firmware
requirement. Check the docs for the desired image. Some of the first
paragraphs will explain the requirements.
The RSM is a router on a blade. It has its own IOS image that you would load
seperately.

RE: VG200 [7:37394]

2002-03-06 Thread Chris Charlebois

The WIC slots on the VG200 are vesidual. They are only there because the
chassis is taken from the 2600 series. These WIC slots are not functional
and no WIC can be installed there.

The VG200 is designed to take a NM-1V, NM-2V, NM-HDV, or a DSP Network
Module (not sure about the model number). This allows for up to 4 FXS or
FXO ports, or 2 (possibly 4, I'm not sure) Multiflex T-1's. In theory,
those Multiflex T-1 could carry TDM voice channels AND data channels, but I
have never tested that on a VG200.

The VG200 is designed to be a voice gateway, not a router.

2002-03-06 Thread Chuck

hold on a second. let's get back to troubleshooting 101.

when a PC is plugged directly into the internet router, you have no problem
browsing.

if it is only one station that has the problem, that's a whole different
direction than if it is the whole site.

if you would be more specific about the problem, list all of the relevant
info, folks here are better able to help.

Not that bad. A bunch of dates open in March and April in San Jose--if you
can't do that, you are screwed until August. The one thing that I have
noticed is that when people get within their 28 day window, they drop their
date. This opens up dates for the more serious contenders.

RE: force a AS5300 involment in a VOIP-VOIP call [7:37386]

2002-03-06 Thread Chris Charlebois

Hang on. Are we talking point-to-point, toll-bypass VoIP or are we talking
IP Telephony? If you are doing toll-bypass than all toll-bypass calls must
go over the 5300. If, on the other hand, you are using IP Telephony with a
CallManager, than no, you cannot force calls that stay on the local network
through a H323 gateway. And you wouldn't want to. Every call that the 5300
touches burns a DSP. Even moderate use would overload the 5300's
capabilities.

If you can using CallManager, use Call Detail Records. They are designed
for this purpose.

Re: the RD [7:37401]

2002-03-06 Thread Steven A. Ridder

In a few months you won't have to. they are removing token ring from lab
exam as they already did with x.25, appletalk, LAT, etc.. I heard it
directly from William Parkhurst, the program manager for the CCIE program.
He also said that there will be some new certifications within the ccie
program for people who do wonderful things, such as one guy who has 4
different CCIE qualifications, first time passers, etc. Also, there will be
a CCIE advisory board, where CCIE's can give inputto the future of the
program, etc.. Also the plaque is comming back.

I also asked him about the "lab-rat" situation and what he thought of it.
He said that he's not worried because there still is indirect
troubleshooting on the lab and being a CCIE dosen't mean you know everything
about networking, just that you are at a very high level. if you can
accomplish the lab, then no matter how you got there, congratulations and
pat yourself on the back.

Finally, here is a passing stat for the CCIE as far as I can tell (from the
numbers I have received).

Approx 50,000 people have attempted lab, and approx. 9000 have passed.
That's an approx 17:1 ratio of people who take exam to people who ever pass
in their lifetime. Pass rate is still secret.

5506 is a Sup II with MM fiber ports. 5509 has TX ports. Look for a blade

Not sure about the error message. Clear the config and reboot. See if it

RE: the RD [7:37401]

2002-03-06 Thread Sexton, Ken

The RDs in the RIF should always be represented in Hex format. When defining
the source-bridge command on the router you define as decimal format.

However, with that said, you'll see test questions with the decimal
equivalence within the RD fields. In either case, I would know how to
convert in both directions, that way you're prepared no matter how it is
presented.

Bandwidth statements, are used for the cost metrics of the links. If you
have equal links, but want to have a shadow not a load balancing link, then
use the offset-list, under the router eigrp process. It is always good
practice to use the bandwidth statement for each sub-interface.

Subject: RE: confreg 0x2922 ??? [7:37318]

Ole

I do not agree with you.

The 2922 means that the following bits are set : 1, 5, 8, 11 and 13.

If bit 8 is set, break will be enabled.
If bit 11 is set but not 12, baud rate will be 4800.

I have this from (watch the word wrap):

According to my config register calculator, the 9 means 9600 baud rate and
break is disabled.

I have found a reason for the second '2' in this, but anyone know what the 9
is??? cisco.com says it is undefined.

We are getting this on one of the 3640's running 12.2.6c

nobody remembers setting anything differently??

aha,

The RDs in the RIF should always be represented in Hex format. When defining
the source-bridge command on the router you define as decimal format.

However, with that said, you'll see test questions with the decimal
equivalence within the RD fields. In either case, I would know how to
convert in both directions, that way you're prepared no matter how it is
presented.

We have bought some BPS2000 and Nortel have been having troubles with

By the way, anybody knows a Nortel forum? in the archives people said that

I mean, if someone is overloading the line how can I manage to cut (only)his

they're also "thinking" of letting third parties proctor the lab, so people
can get there easier. The only problem is not losing control of the LAB and
keeping standards high. Also more real wold scenarios, updated technologies
will be in the lab.

RIP question [7:37455]

2002-03-06 Thread Jerry P.

Hi all:

I have a question about a RIP lab exercise that I am developing for school
that I was wondering if I could ask you about. I have three routers each
connected through ethernet like such: 0---0---0

My goal is to have one of the routers go in holddown state after shutting
down an interface of a connecting router. So I type in debug ip routing and
clear ip route * expecting to get a routing table update of the router going
in holddown then eventually gets flushed out of the table. However, with
this network, it only shows that the network (or route) is deleted from the
table and seems to not put it into holddown state. Is there something wrong
with my network? Am I missing something? Any help on this would be greatly
appreciated.

Thanks!

Jerry

RE: Problems with Nortel [7:37403]

2002-03-06 Thread David j

The problem with BPS2000 was that from time to time a stack with 4 switchs
didn't recognize one or several units and we had base conficts, finally we
could fixed the problem using software versions 1.1.3.9 and firmware
2.0.0.8. With fiber the problem is that before buying the switchs, Nortel
has told us that we could use the 400-2FX 400-4FX and 400-4TX (MDAs for
BayStack 450)in BPS2000, but with our software versions and MDAs, the
switchs aren't able to work properly, they have all leds turned on and fixed
with an marvellous orange color, when we ask Nortel, one engineer said that
the MDAs were compatible with BPS2000, other said that they weren't and by
now, we are still waiting for a decent answer.
NOTE: with 450 we didn't have any problems at all, perhaps I didn't explain
this well before.

Patrick, if you know a sistem for aplication level 'cutting' it would be
great. Actually we only want to 'cut' temporarily a 'hanged' conection, we
are doing this using a deny for the IP at the beginnig of the acl and
removing the permit ip any any established, but perhaps there is a more
straightforward way for doing it.

Regards, David.

I tried to disconnect the cable but that delete message still appears.
Isn't it possible to just shutdown the interface. Isn't it the same as
unplugging the connection? ALso, only when I clear ip route* does any

Re: RIP question [7:37455]

2002-03-06 Thread Scott H.

Shutting down the interface will work. However, clearing the route table
tells the route process to start over. If it starts over, it has no idea
that the route ever existed. Shut down the interface and wait for the
timers to expire.

For example:

R1-R2-R3

Shut down the interface at R1. Go to R3 and watch the route table. After
the dead time expires you should see the route listed as possibly down.

The RIF is just referenced (not changed) in frames that are specifically
routed. In other words, once the end station has found a route, it just
puts it in the frame and the bridges just read it forwards or backwards and
route accordingly.

Could that be what he's getting at??

On the other hand, I agree with you that on an explorer, an SRT bridge
changes the RIF. SRT simply implies a couple things:

1) If the RII is zero, just perform normal Ethernet-style transparent
bridging

2) If the RII is one and redundant bridges exits, use the spanning tree to
determine which way to forward explorer frames.

By the way, SRT is the only form of source route bridging that the IEEE
ever standardized. And you can get it for free! ;-) It's in Annex C of IEEE
802.1D, which you can get here:

http://standards.ieee.org/getieee802/

Have fun with it!

Hi Scott:

Ok so I did what you said, shutdown R1 and enable debug ip routing on R3, I
waited for 5 minutes and got no output whatsoever:

r3#debug ip routing
IP routing debugging is on
r3#

So I cleared ip route * and got this:

r3#clear ip route *
r3#

02:26:26: RT: add 192.1.1.0/24 via 193.1.1.1, rip
02:26:29: is_up: 1 state: 4 sub state: 1 line: 1

Debug ip rip works on this, it's just that nothing happens with debug ip
routing? What the heck?!!!

In the real-world, it's not important at all. In a Cisco world, the other
way around (hex to decimal) is somewhat useful.

If you still have Token Ring on your network, then you will probably have a
Sniffer or other device that will decode the hex RDs for you.

But, let's say all you have is a Cisco box and that you are learning things
the way that Cisco tells you to. Then you might have some rather
poorly-designed debug tools that show you the RDs in hex. It might be very
helpful to know how to convert these to actual decimal ring and bridge
numbers. Converting the other way (from decimal to hex) would be a useless
skill unless you're a programmer, but worth practicing anyway because it
helps you develop the more useful skill (hex to decimal).

My theory is that Cisco's debug and diagnostic tools were developed to help
their QA people understand what the router is doing. They weren't developed
to help their customers troubleshoot problems. Instead of fixing the tools,
Cisco offers training, tech support, and books that help customers use the
tools. In addition, Cisco offers certification programs that prove that you
can use the tools.

That's my cynical take anyway. ;-)

Frame-Relay Traffic-Shaping Example?? [7:37470]

2002-03-06 Thread Cisco Nuts

Hello,
Is there a way of simulating a FR network (hub&spoke) to "fail" without
traffic-shaping config?

On CCO, all they have is examples of traffic-shaping configs that actually
work.
Here is an example:
http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/125/traffic_shaping_6151.html

What I would like to do is to config. my routers in such a way that the
remote routers get overrun and then config traffic-shaping to correct this?
Any ideas?
Thank you.

Re: Frame-Relay Traffic-Shaping Example?? [7:37470]

2002-03-06 Thread Steven A. Ridder

Config a router to be a frame switch. Make the hub router's connection to
the frame switch 1554k. Make a spoke router's connection to be 64K. Then
blast traffic to him. I believe you will flood the frame switches egress
port of the 64K's side. Then apply traffic shaping to make it work
correctly.

concentrator 3000 vs. checkpoint vpn [7:37474]

2002-03-06 Thread Alex Lei

Group,

Has anyone used both concentrator 3000 and checkpoint vpn (either software
or hardware)? What are each's advantages and disadvantages? I am interested
in the following factors: Ease of installation and configuration, security,
manageability, reporting and logging, scalability, and pricing. I've
searched the archives but couldn't find any real world advices.

Thanks,

Alex

To comment of the above, the RII bit doesn't indicate whether the frame is a
specific routed frame or whether it is a explorer frame. It only indicates
whether the frame contains RIF information or not. The specifically routed
frame indicator is within the RIF (first three bits of the RC field, known
as the "type" or "broadcast" bits - 0xx = specifically routed frame, 10x =
ARE frame, 11x = SPE frame).

Maybe its the way its worded that may be the cause of confusion; I've never
read it to verify.

Re: RIP question [7:37455]

2002-03-06 Thread Priscilla Oppenheimer

Can you send us your configs. In theory, Cisco's RIP is supposed to do a
triggered update. When R1 loses its connection it should advertise the
network as unreachable (16 hops). This should put the route into holddown
on the other routers. I'm wondering if you've got some sort of weird
configs that's causing non-standard behavior.

Also are you using RIPv1 or RIPv2. Maybe some of the debug tools only work
with RIPv1??

Also, remember my cynical comment. The debug tools are to help Cisco QA
debug the software, not to help network administrators troubleshoot. ;-) I
think you said these were connected via Ethernet which means you could
easily put a protocol analyzer on the network(s) and figure out what's
really going on. Try Ethereal. It's fre.

2002-03-06 Thread Kelly Cobean

In binary, 2922 is 0010 1001 0010 0010. Bit #11 being set to "on" is what
makes this a "9" vs. the standard "1" This changes the console speed to
4800 bps. That's all.

I have found a reason for the second '2' in this, but anyone know what the 9
is??? cisco.com says it is undefined.

We are getting this on one of the 3640's running 12.2.6c

nobody remembers setting anything differently??

RE: Stupid 2500 confreg question [7:37299]

2002-03-06 Thread Kelly Cobean

I believe the reason for this is the same reason that you can't hook a modem
to your console port. The "Ready-To-Send", and "Clear-To-Send" signals
don't exist on the console port, thus, no flow control. This is the big
physical difference between the console and aux port; the aux port provides
"RTS/CTS" signaling. If you tell your terminal to throttle data based on
these signals (which it never receives because the console isn't providing
them) it gets confused.

Every so often we'll get in a 2501 router that'll not respond to teraterm,
CRT, hyperterm, etc. When we disable RTS/CTS - then we can get into the
router. Don't know the reason, my co-worker said he found some link on CCO
about it.

Reminds me of a funny story about this..
I was new to Cisco eq, and switches in general. I searched and searched to
find out why this was
Happening to me. Finally found the answer of port fast. Was I happy ...until
the next morning when
The config was blank and problem was back. I put the port fast back in and
all was well until the next morning.
Same thing kept happening for 2 weeks. I was going nuts trying to figure out
what was going on until someone
Was kind enough to tell me about the mysterious command " write memory ".
That fixed the problem for a week or
So until one morning I get a call that nobody can log in again. I go to
telnet into the switch and I cant reach it. Hm.
Quick walk to the maintenance cage revealed the answer. You see this was a
new enclosure that didn't have power directly to it yet,
So an extension cord was run to power the 2924's. Turns out that were we
plugged into was the location that the night maintenance man
Also happened to plug he coffee maker into. Seems he forgot to plug it back
in when he left for the night and the cabinet was dead.
Since the Building Manager AND the Maintenance Manager all happened to be
connected to those switches power was ran that afternoon
Like I had originally requested. I bought the night guy a thing of coffee
for the assistance!

Thanks

You don't disable STP on the port to the PC because

Re: DLSW nebios name filtering [7:37475]

2002-03-06 Thread John Neiberger

Here's an example I pulled from the Groupstudy archives:

>netbios access-list host ccie deny TOKEN2
>netbios access-list host ccie permit *
>source-bridge ring-group 10
>dlsw local-peer peer-id 10.1.1.1
>dlsw remote-peer 0 tcp 10.1.1.2 host-netbios-out ccie
>

This list would filter TOKEN2 but allow all other names to pass.

HTH,

I must be missing something. Does anyone have an example of netbios
name
filtering that works. I have spend countless hours on this and for
some
reason i can seem to filter the names...

Thanks,

Dennis
