Yeah, that "no terrorist attacks on US soil for the past 7 years" doesn't
count for anything...other than that we're still alive to debate the finer
points of education, free universal health care, big Pharma, and all the
wonders of moving to an even bigger nanny-state government under the
oh-so-compassionate socialist opposition...

Follow the logic.

Milk contains lactose. When milk ferments, lactose becomes lactic acid.
Ionic silver will combine with lactic acid and produce silver lactate. IF
silver lactate can cross the barrier, then adding CS to milk that has
slightly soured could be a problem.

Hi all:

Just came home from visiting a friend whom I haven't seen for a while.
He told me that his teenage daughter got infected with e-coli around
Thanksgiving. A doctor sent her home with antibiotics, but she got worse,
and had to be taken to the hospital. He said she lost control of her
bowels and a green "soup" came out of her. They found that her liver
has been attacked by the bacteria. She's been in ICU for the past three
weeks, and had to have several blood transfusions. She's on a breathing
machine now as her lungs have collapsed due to fluid build up. They did
a biopsy on her liver, and it appears to be clean now, but they are still
finding the bacteria in the lung fluid they are draining via tubes.

Her father is ready to try anything, even if it means to sneak stuff by
the hospital staff. She's able to take a few sips of fluid a day, and
I thought of MMS, but on an empty stomach? I thought of maybe applying
it over her chest mixed with DMSO, but the thought of her having to
throw up gives me the scares? What about a magnetic pulser, or
Godzilla-type

unit?

May I ask for your thoughts please?

Thank you all,

Heidi

Pharma bought Vitamin companies because they make big profits and aren't
subject to all the expensive FDA regs they have to pay for, because *we
the people* don't.

They were sold "to the highest bidder" by those "altruistic founders" of
those companies because the price was met, justified by the profit margins
and market share.

None of it had anything to do with Government.
  Just pure business.
Government may eventually step in with anti trust [monopoly] laws.

Ode

Sure Ode. All small business owners want to be lured out of business by a
few carrots. All small small business owners are stupid and want to give
up their lucrative incomes and are blind to what pharmas and the FDA are
doing.. Government has everything to do with business, where have you been?

If the Government had not demolished the anti trust laws we already had we
wouldn't be in this pickle today. It was in pharmagovernment's best
interest to do so. Faith G.

CS>Marketing 101

2008-01-21 Thread faith gagne

Dee: Of course I do not advocate paying more. Not now or ever.

NOW and other large supplement manufacturers are in cahoots with the FDA to
drive smaller manufacturers out of business so that these larger companies
can have the market to themselves. THEN they WILL raise prices because
where else will you go to buy supplements?

So let's get it straight. Competition helps to keep prices low. Eliminate
the competition (with the help of the FDA) and prices will rise, probably
substantially. So I am against eliminating the competitive smaller vitamin
manufacturers.

SO, to help keep the smaller vitamin manufacturers in business I will
support them instead of supporting greedy, monopolistic companies like NOW.
NOW has kept their prices low to attract business and become the large
company they are today. All that will change in a heartbeat once they get
rid of their competition.

Someone asked about finding smaller drug comapnies to buy from. There are
plenty of them and probably at good prices too. Anyone can go to any number
of online outlets like Swanson's or Vitacost or iHerb, etc., etc., etc., and
find supplements marketed by companies other than NOW. It is not difficult.
Mr. Byron, the author of the heads up article, is a small vitamin company
himself, and he does not want to be strong-armed out of business. I do not
blame him in the least.

There is a Health Store not far from my home that has only a small section
in their store that offers NOW products, so evidently they are not strong
supporters of NOW either. I compliment them. Monopolistic practices
disadvantage the customer tremendously, and this country is swimming in
them.

Faith G.

Subject: Re: CS>NOW and the FDA

So you advocate paying more *now* then! What is the difference? Plus not
*all* small companies are so ethical either, given the chance they want to
be in with the big league as well eventually, so again, what is the
difference? Dee

Nancy,
The Natural Products Association is a trade organization which represents
industry. It is not a public citizens group at all. The word "natural" is
really meaningless. John Hammell has spoken out about this group before in
regards to Codex.

What has happened to many of the largest vitamin companies is that
controlling interests have been sold to big pharma companies. Also persons
that represent big pharma have been placed on their board of directors. What
seems to be afoot is that they are trying to drive out all the smaller
companies and completion. But, there is also a movement to establish upper
safe limits on vitamins and restrict what products are allowed to be sold.
In this way, they can make the vitamin companies more like drug companies.
The costs of testing, etc. will restrict who is able to pay those costs
(which will then be passed on to consumers.) It will help them make a big
monopoly out of the vitamin industry, just like the drug industry. Profits,
profits. Prices will skyrocket and big pharma wins again.

FDA Approves Sale of Meat and Milk from Cloned Animals -
But There's Still a Chance to Act!

Washington, DC, January 15, 2008 - Today the Food and Drug Administration
announced its determination that milk and meat from cloned animals are safe for
sale to the public. In addition, the FDA is requiring no tracking system for
clones or labeling of products produced from clones or their offspring. This
action comes at a time when the U.S. Senate has voted twice to delay FDA's
decision on cloned animals until additional safety and economic studies can be
completed by the National Academy of Sciences and the United States Department
of Agriculture (USDA).

Sign the Center for Food Safety's "Clone-Free Pledge",
and let food companies know you won't buy food from clones!
Citizens for Health joins with the Center for Food Safety and dozens of other
food industry, consumer, and animal welfare groups in blasting this decision as
insensitive as well as irresponsible, since it flies in the face of opinion
polls showing that the majority of Americans do not want milk or meat from
cloned animals in their food. A December 2006 poll by the Pew Initiative on
Food and Biotechnology found that nearly two-thirds of U.S. consumers were
uncomfortable with animal cloning. A national survey conducted this year by
Consumers Union found that 89 percent of Americans want to see cloned foods
labeled, while 69 percent said that they have concerns about cloned meat and
dairy products in the food supply. A recent Gallup Poll reported that more
than 60 percent of Americans believe that it is immoral to clone animals, while
the Pew Initiative on Food and Biotechnology found that a similar percentage
say that, despite FDA approval, they won't buy milk from cloned animals.
As a Citizens for Health member, you know we are committed to defending your
right to the information you need to make your own health and wellness choices.
That is why we are particularly disappointed that the FDA also failed to
require labeling of food from clones, effectively preventing consumers from
making educated decisions about what they put into their bodies.
In response to FDA's pending approval, US Senator Barbara Mikulski (D-MD) has
introduced Senate Bill S.414, the Cloned Food Labeling Act, and U.S. House
Representative Rosa DeLauro (D-CT) introduced an identical bill, H.R. 992, in
the House just a few weeks later.

Subject: CS>Middle Ear Infection

Hi All,

I seem to have an infection running in my inner ear. I woke up 4 days
ago with a plugged right ear. Over the course of an hour or so it
progressively built up more pressure. It did not exactly hurt like an
ear ache just felt like my ear would explode. I let IES and hydrogen
peroxide sit in the ear for 10 minutes or so, but had to leave. It was
still plugged at that time but slowly seemed to get better over the
course of a few hours where it seemed to clear and I could hear again.
The next day, I went to talk with a pharmacist who claimed that it was a
middle ear infection and unless I wanted antibiotics, that a decongestant
to dry it up would likely be the only thing that helps. I did not take
the decongestant that day, but I did mix alcohol with the Hp and IES
hoping that if it was water this would dry out the ear canal. Did not
feel much difference. I went to another pharmacist who said to use an
anti-histamine to dry it up. I stopped the IES and Hp for 24 hours while
I was on the benadryl and decongestant, but now instead of feeling just
plugged, I can now feel a little ear ache. So this afternoon I put more
peroxide and silver in my ear again. It has not felt any better since
that time. It has been about 4.5 hours. The peroxide did fizz this time
where it never really did the first couple of days. Is there some other
treatments that I can try? I really don't want to see a doctor. I have
thought about colostrum, but it is hard to find in this town and it is
very expensive. What about oregano oil would that be of any use?
Nutribiotic with citricidal(grapefruit seed extract))?

Okay, I'll add my 2 cents worth: If you feel fear, even the tiniest whiff of
fear or any other negative uncomfortable feeling, that is your first clue that
you are relying on yourself.

Now can we get back to CS? thanks. Faith g.

No offense Nancy, but really, I have no interest in what Scribes wrote 2000
years ago as the word of God, nor would I be truly interested in throwing
myself on any religious sharpened sword.Religion does not reveal to me that
chip implanting infants, the helpless elderly etc, etc. etc. is fundamentally
wrong. Nor am I in fear of any ethereal beast absconding with my immortal
Soul.

And although, per the Bible, that's one hell of a hair raising, fear driven
rapture scenario you describe, on par, perhaps better, than anything Edgar
Allen Poe could have aspired too, at the moment, I am more concerned with the
living two legged beasts of government running their rapture ponzi schemes
under the guise of the good natured humanitarian veils. I might add, the
concern is not for myself, but for my children and grandchildren. My hope is
only to live long enough to teach them how to effectively use their own swords.

Carol Ann- You are probably aware the Bible predicts in the book of
Revelation that under the Anti-Christ a mark in the forehead or hand
will be necessary to buy or sell. Many think this could be a
micro-chip. Those who refuse will come under harsh repercussions.
Those who refuse to worship the Anti-Christ and take the mark of the

Some Christians believe the Church (body of believers in Messiah

Tribulation begins and the Anti-Christ is revealed; this is the hope

and the living will be transformed instantly into incorruptible bodies
and will join them in the air. Jesus says that those who are worthy
and watching for His return will not have to go through wrath, Luke
21:36, and also tells the parable of 10 virgins awaiting the return of
Bridegroom to take them to the wedding party, 5 of which are left

No offense taken. The chips under discussion are just co-incidental,
are they necessary to buy or sell? The mark in the Bible may not be a
computer chip but will be necessary to buy or sell.

Just as there is a Holy Trinity, the Father, the Son, and the Holy
Spirit, at some future point there will be an unholy trinity, The Beast
(Anti-Christ), the False Prophet, and the Dragon (Satan). They will
not be able to take choice away from you, they will just force to make
one.

Go to the grocery store and the salt section and you can buy a box of
NuSalt that is Potassium chloride. 1/6 teaspoon is 530 mg or 15% of
the RDA. Minerals in the chloride form don't use up your Hydrochloric
acid (stomach acid) to break them down into a soluble form .

  Hello Marshall,
The amounts of Magnesium involved in this protocol are many times lower than
required
to create consequential upsets within the physiology of any but the MOST
SYSTEMICALLY CHALLENGED INDIVIDUALS.. Much disruptive and inaccurate
information relating to the Calcium/Magnesium relationship has been bandied
about by many persons who do not have correct information..and even less
research in the matter. For example, with some notable exceptions, most of the
general population ingests an EXCESS of calcium...much of it from
un-noticed sources in the general food supply. Magnesium is, in most cases, in
short supply for insuring good health in the average adult. We do not contend
that the proportional relationship between magnesium and calcium is of no
consequence.as there is a proven interaction which is important in human
health. However, we do contend that the ACTUAL necesary
proportions of SUPPLEMENTAL ADDITIONS (MOST ESPECIALLY OF CALCIUM
FRACTIONS)are considerably different from a majority of the popular media
claims, and overblown in their specific importance relative to stated
exactitudes of percentages. The problem of TOO MUCH CALCIUM is, we seem to
find, much more prevalent than too little. The central problem revolves around
calcium UTILIZATION..not gross intake. The long-lived bromide about calcium
shortages had its inception, primarily, as a result of studies (many quite
flawed) relating to osteoporosis conditions manifesting in post-menopausal
women.
My short answer to your observation is, simply, that 1000 mg daily of
supplemental magnesiumfor adults consuming anything but a
nutritionally-starved dietwill pose very, very, small corrective demands on
the systemic functions...at least this has been our experience-others
may have effected different results. We have found that magnesium is woefully
unresearched and denied its recognition warranted for MANY undeclared benefits
in human health. Adult males, especially, are as a groupchronically
deficient in sufficient magnesium
  levels required for best health.
Additional calcium (unless of a high magnitude [over 2000 mg] would probably
not impose any reduction of the magnesium's benefits. However, for the
previously-mentioned reasonsI do not feel such to be a required component
to this protocol.
If one has personal reservations relative to ingesting 1000 mg of magnesium
without an additional calcium supplement, then 500 mg of some form of EASILY
assimilated calcium can be ingested..if only to satiate their personal
health paradigm.
  Be Well Marshall, Brooks.
p.s. As a personal anecdote I relate that I have ingested 1500 mg of
magnesium chloride daily (without any form of buffering or companion substance)
for the past 3 years.without experiencing any form of compromise. However,
I do take two tablespoons daily, of Thorvin kelpwhich would tend to
ameliorate mineral-induced excursions-from a wide variety among the body's
roster of minerals.

Urge Your Representative to Support H.R. 2117, The Health Freedom
Protection

Act!
ACTION ALERT: WASHINGTON, January 9, 2008 - We are in the thick of an
election year and many of the candidates for President are clamoring to
offer health policies that simply maintain the status quo and enable the
pharmaceutical industry to maintain its stranglehold on consumers. These
same candidates would also allow the FDA to continue to shirk its duty to
protect consumers from the often dangerous or lethal drugs big pharma is
all
too eager to push on the public. It is especially important at this time
for

our elected representatives to support policy and legislation that puts
consumers in control of their own health decisions.
That is why it is critical that you urge your Representative to co-sponsor
Ron Paul's Health Freedom Protection Act, H.R. 2117. With your help we can
surpass the level of support the bill enjoyed in the 109th session, and
bring it to the floor for a vote.

Hi Deb -

I don't know about 8,000, but I'm up to 5,600 mg. of potassium a day, and
have gone as high as maybe 6,300 or 7,000 so far. Not sure exactly how
much I take on some days (could be more) because I'm not worried about it
hurting me so I lose track. I take doses of 700 at a time, and it has
helped me tremendously. My blood pressure came down 45 points, and all
the inflammation that I had suddenly developed in my lower legs is gone.
No negative side effects at all.

Hope this helps.

Kind regards,

Jodi

Dear Faith,
You have, already, received a number of useful comments. I will take a
moment to expand on one area of address. We have discovered over the
immediately past 15 years, that a majority of sudden-onset cramping (especially
in the extremities) demonstrates for a magnesium deficiency component..even
in those cases presenting dehydration and/or calcium deficiency. Our
experimental researches with high-impact athletes has confirmed, that proper
magnesium in the lean muscle tissue beds.results in the vast majority of
leg cramps (even professional athletes are subject to this quite frequently)
being mitigated against. Such presentations of cramping are, quite often,
direct companions of any form of exercise resulting in pronounced loss of fluid
electrolytes. FYI, calcium is, as a general matter GREATLY overemphasized as
being too low. We have found that it is MAGNESIUM which is the "BELL-WEATHER"
sheep. As a general rule, ingesting adequate quantities of ! balanc! ed fluid
electrolytessuch as Gatorade, before and/or during any activity pronounced
enough to generate sweatingaids in preventing a majority of such painful
presentations.
Interestingly, a majority (80%) of our experimental volunteers who are on
adequate Marine Kelp supplementationdo not manifest cramping of this
type.even in the face of limited magnesium supplementation.
One supplementation protocol displaying excellent results (especially
among adults 50+ years, is 1000 mg daily for males and 750 mg for
females.body mass considerations notwithstanding. At least that has been
our experience. Magnesium is a very forgiving substanceand woefully
undervalued in the allopath-dominated health arena.
Sincerely, Brooks Bradley.
p.s. I would be remiss if I did not take this opportunity to remind the
list members that our experience confirms that magnesium is the SINGLE MOST
important protocol element yet discovered, for the control/pr! eventio n of
kidney stones.

Hi His! Good grief. What in the world did your dentist do to you? I
had a root canal more than 35 years ago. It has given me no trouble. What
remains of that tooth supports a crown, which looks pretty nice -- although the
original crown has been replaced once. If you have a root canal removed, then
you lose the usefulness of that tooth altogether, don't you? MA (who probably
has a couple more root canals in her future, as thirty-year old silver fillings
are beginning to fail and the dentist won't replace them with composite) :-

Does anyone have information on CS and cancer, specifically sarcoma?
This one that my aunt has is called pleomorphic malignant histiocytoma.
The tumor is now exposed and went from golf ball size under the skin,

in two months it increased that much.
She's taking a some tonics (for 10 days now) from

Dear Friends,

I was busy enough yesterday not to have a moment to send my greetings
for the season to you all. Please accept them now.

Thanks to folks for moving these... suddenly edgy topics to the OT list
in a sprightly fashion. Please, everyone make that effort. You're all
policing yourselves pretty well on that, just so long as all do so.

As far as I can tell the Off Topic List is working fine. Posting is
done to silver-off-topic-l...@eskimo.com ... If you're not already set
to receive OT list messages, send an e-mail with the word 'subscribe'

Remember, the same rules of civility apply there as here on the main
list, despite the fact virtually any subject is allowed. Any topic that
cannot be discussed civilly amongst the members I will discourage or
disallow, but an intelligent conversation can be had on a surprising
range of things if everyone cooperates to a reasonable degree. Be
sensitive toward others' feeling and slow to take offense and things
will go well.

Thank you all for your cooperation and loyalty to the mission of our

Jesse Ventura wasn't able to do too much in Minnesota other than shake up

This is partly due to his personal defects, but mostly due to the inertia

Have you ever been on a committee?

Regarding the inertia of government, I am under the impression that the

inertia so that no person or group could come in and make changes too

There is no more "too hot" coffee sold at McDonalds.

When an elderly woman endured intense physical pain which resulted in personal
disfigurement that required corrective surgery after spilling a scalding hot
beverage in her lap at McDonald's drive up window, the authorities finally woke
up and decided it was not such a bright idea to serve scalding hot beverages to
people in moving vehicles.. Coffee temperature is now reduced and regulated by
law at McDonalds and probably all drive up windows.

I tend to appreciate many of the public safety rules. It didn't happen to me
but that does not stop me from deeply sympathizing with the woman to whom it
did happen.

I think the most valid reason for what you call the "nanny state" is NOT to
protect consumers. It's government and corporate interest merger. Government
agencies, especially of late, work primarily to protect industry profits and
monopolies. Lawyers and suing are just part of a little side show. It has
gotten tougher and tougher to beat big insurance and big pharma racket. Sure
take the wrong leg off during an operation you are likely to collect something
if you live long enough. Might be better to have the leg. A lot of new
legislation is now in force that protects pharma and places limits on what
people can collect for damages. Most people damaged by pharma drugs and
surgeries and infections related to hospitals don't collect a dime. Behind that
anti lawyer spin are a lot of big insurance and big pharma talking heads. How
many people have collected damages for too hot of coffee since that one case
was fully exploited by the corporate controlled media? Probably none.

  Hi Faith:)

Yes, accidents happen. But you don't blame everyone else for your own dumb
stunts. That was my point there. I have no complaints about accidents. Those
are a part of life. She was injured yes, but that was her error in judgement,
not the establishment where she bought the coffee. And that particular
accident was totally preventable. That was just an example off the top of my
head. The way I recall it, she bought the coffee and put it between her legs
and I guess she squeezed it hard enough for the top to pop off, which can
happen if you squeeze those paper cups too hard. It's been a while since I read
the story. It's just the first example that crossed my mind at the time.
Instead of just saying okay I goofed, and I got hurt, she blamed the store. She
didn't take the responsibility for her own goof up.

Argyria is the real deal but the other side effects are speculation. A few
months ago I tracked the claims of seizures, neurological problems, kidney
damage, indigestion, headaches, fatigue, etc, as far as I could and have found
they were barely credible.

The FDA gets its info from the National Center for Complimentary and
Alternative Medicine. http://nccam.nih.gov/health/alerts/silver/
In turn, the NCCAM gets its info from the Natural Medicine Comprehensive
Database. http://www.naturaldatabase.com
I subscribed to that service and found that most of the claims are based on
the speculative idea that drinking colloidal silver might induce the same
symptoms as Metal Fume Fever. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metal_fume_fever
Basically, metal fume fever is what you get if you inhale lungfulls of toxic
metal fumes such as from welding galvanised iron or working in a metal foundry.
The other main reference listed in the NMCD database is 'Silver Products for
Medical Indications, Risk benefit Assessment , Journal of Toxicology 1996 Fung
and Bowen'. I couldnt find this paper anywhere on the net so I had to buy it
from the National Library.
Its 8 pages, almost entirely about argyria, but with a couple of very
unconvincing hypothesis', mentioned almost as an aside, that silver might cause
other symptoms. The trail for the source of these hypothesis' then gets even
more blurred. But I think they are based on experiments in the mid 80's in
which rats were fed high doses of silver nitrate every day until they started
to get a bit cranky. (About 140 days straight as I recall). Even the
researchers in those experiments concluded that the doses were so high that
they bore no relevence to a real human situation.

So in the end I'd have to say that the proof that silver causes side effects
other than argyria is extremely unconvincing.

A few months ago here in Australia the TGA (our FDA) published an alert that
colloidal silver had caused in an elderly man 'debilitating fatigue accompanied
by blue skin discolouration, dilated cardiomyopathy, amnesia and incoherent
speech.' On three ocassions I asked the TGA to add some reference to the
alert that proves that silver could cause any of these symptons other than
argyria. They couldn't, and in the end simply said that the doctors diagnosis
was good enough for them. I asked 'How can a doctor make such a diagnosis when
theres no research to prove that silver can cause such a thing?' They had no
answer for that other than "Go away".

  David

Fox News states:

The FDA does not consider colloidal silver safe or effective to treat any
disease or condition. In fact, taking it could have serious side effects, such
as:

- Argyria - which is an irreversible blue-gray discoloration of your skin,
nails and gums

- Seizures and other neurological problems

- Kidney damage

- Indigestion

- Headaches

- Fatigue

- Skin irritation

Once the silver particles are in the skin, then they can grow, even
from EIS. That is why it is essential to NEVER take silver compounds
which can cause the seeds to form in the skin in the first place.
You want the ionic part to eventually plate out on the colloidal
component of the CS in the blood stream, not on particles stuck in
the skin.

Marshall,
This is very interesting. By what mechanism do the ionic particles
attach to the particles that are stuck in the skin?

The photographic development process.

And, can I infer by your above statement that if an externally
ingested silver solution were completely colloidal (rather than
completely ionic, or a combination of ionic and colloidal), it would
NOT attach to the particles stuck in the skin?
That is correct, only silver compounds plate out on particles. See:
http://silver-lightning.com/theory.html#Compounds

*What happens when you take silver compounds.*

A silver compound will typically become silver chloride as soon as it
hits the stomach. The silver chloride is sparingly soluble, about .8
ppm. The dissolved silver chloride will move into the blood stream and
once there will be exposed to chemicals that will induce the silver to
plate out on any other silver particles present. However initially there
will be no other silver particles present, so the silver chloride
circulates in the blood until exposed to light in the skin, where they
are photo reduced to silver atoms. This is the photographic process that
occurs when you take a picture (with a film camera). Once the silver
atoms are produced in the skin, then the rest of the silver chloride
will begin reducing onto those particles making them grow very fast, and
resulting in many of them getting stuck in the skin. Since the particles
are so small, they will appear as black or blue, giving the skin a
bluish cast. This is called argyria, and can result from taking silver
compounds without any colloidal component.

http://silver-lightning.com/theory.html#Internal

*What happens to EIS when taken internally?*

Since there are two components to EIS, then two different things happen.

The colloidal portion diffuses through the stomach wall rather quickly
and enters the blood stream as long as the particles are small enough.

The ionic portion is a combination of silver hydroxide and silver oxide.
While in solution they continually convert from one to the other and
back again. Each has a solubility of about 13 ppm, so any EIS which is
less than about 26 ppm and a pH of 7 will be totally dissolved. Upon
contact with the HCl (hydrochloric acid) of the stomach both of these
compounds will immediately form silver chloride. The silver chloride has
a solubility of .8 ppm, so most of the silver chloride will precipitate
out, but the remaining part will quickly move into the blood stream. As
it does, that which precipitated will redissolve and move into the blood
stream as well. The end result is that most of the silver chloride will
move into the blood stream over time, but at a lower rate than the
colloidal portion.

Once it is in the blood stream it is exposed to the same effects we
discussed for silver compounds above. Basically it will try to plate out
on any silver particles it finds. Since there will be colloidal silver
which already passed into the blood, there will be lots of particles for
it to plate out on. So in short order the silver in the silver chloride
plates out onto the colloidal particles already there, and they grow by
a small amount. Typically for an EIS of 10% particulate content, the
particles should grow to about double in size. This is insufficient to
cause them to get caught up into tissues, and they eventually get
removed by the kidneys.

So, as it turns out. colloidal silver is actually a prophylactic against
argyria, instead of a cause as some would have you believe.

*Marshall*

Many thanks.
Nenah

Dear Esteemed and Learned List Members,

I was fooling around with a wall wart that is listed as 24V and 500mA,
and had it hooked up in series with my radioshack multimeter. It tested
as 30.6V, and after I switched it to mA, the meter failed. Now it just
reads micro volts and won't read anything else. Dang! Maybe I had it
on micro amps instead of milliamps, and would that break it?

I need another multimeter! But I don't want to just turn around and
break this one too.

Just because something is toxic if you get too much built up, doesn't
mean that you can live without it.

Copper and Zinc is toxic too..just about everything is.
"Excito-toxins" ?? Who!! Bd!!!Except without any, you'd
be dead. The nerves need excito-toxins to function.

Hello Ode.

In your opinion, how much selenium should one take on a daily basis? In my
daily vitamin I get 200 mcg selenium and 400 .U. vitamin E. That should
cover it for me, I think.

Merry Christmas to you and to everybody.

It's ok, I found the Now brand which *is* l-selenomethionine so that is
the one I will get. Thanx Dee

Hi Duncan, I just found your site and the Nature's Way selenium. I did
actually find this brand on my own search, but discarded it because it said it
is selenomethionine not l-selenomethionine which I had read was not as good as
the latter and still has to be chelated. Any comments on this? Dee

Re: CS>A new mainstream "politically well connected" form of ionic silver?

2007-12-16 Thread faith gagne
Are the followign statements true? How can an ion "Die"?From the
article:
"Now it's interesting to note that silver needs to reach a state of
ionization before it can demonstrate any efficacy at all. And although this
was sufficient for maintaining water purity, the ions have a very short
life. They'll last for minutes to maybe hours. So you need a constant
resupply.

Now the next stage of evolution in the technology is moving into a colloidal
form. Colloidal form of silver is simply small particles of elemental silver
in a solution. The advantage over the solid silver is simple. For the same
given mass or weight of the product, there is more surface area. Hence, more
ions will be thrown off, but still the same drawback with regard to the
short life for the ion itself.

The next stage of evolution was moving into ionic silver using ionic
generators. Now this is used today. It's been used for several decades,
while hospitals will use this silver ion generators, public pools,
recreational type water applications, generally a recirculating type system.
Again, as long as it's plugged in and you're generating ions, you have
protection. Unplug it, the ions die in minutes to maybe an hour or two."

This below came from CS forum on curezone

Here is the link to the story about a new "unique and
patented" form of ionic silver which claims to have
some serious mainstream connections and be
"politically well connected":

Hi Dianne. The health food store is not far, but on-line might be more
economical. I haven't the faintest idea what they go for, or even if the store
here would carry them. Thanks.

  Faith

Bought ours at the health food store. Also have found them on line if a
store is a distance.

The max pressure on the side of a tire is relative to the load rating of
the tire as that relates to deflection and sidewall flex. 2,500 pound
load @ 45 PSI..for instance.

To get the proper pressure for *that* tire on *your* car, park of a flat
hard surface and inflate the tire till the edges of the tread surface just
clear the pavement for a good balance between center wear on the straight
road and edge wear on the corners.
Keep a close eye on tread wear. Center getting thin? Too much pressure.
Edges getting thin? Not enough.
Sticking packing tape across the tread will tell you exactly where the
rubber is coming off within a few miles to tweek alignment toe in, camber
and pressure just right. [Sometimes the alignment shop specs are off ]

Ode

Many mechanics tend to under-inflate tires because they, or the
manufacturer, feel that you will like the softer ride. The recommended
pressure from the car companies is usually never as much pressure as that
indicated on the tire itself. At least that is my experience. I always
inflate to the rated pressure on the tire.
