On a PIX you have always needed two separate addresses - one for the outside
interface and one for PAT. I checked the documentation for version 5.3 and

I recently removed a PIX 520 replaced it with a PIX 515. The problem was
that the PIX's NAT address did not update on the router's arp cache
(which is on the PIX's outside subnet). Of course, using the command
"clear arp-cache" on the router fixes the problem. The question is, if

What the two numbers have in common is Novell IPX.
0x8137 is the Ethernet protocol TYPE number for Novell IPX, from RFC 1700
(some sources
indicate 0x8137 is obsolete and 0x8138 should be used). It appears somewhat
regularly in
Cisco training material. IEEE 802.3 has a LENGTH field instead of TYP
default ip address
