Im getting out of the certifications business for a while due to health
problems. I have a couple of routers on ebay but they arent getting
much attention so make an offer, and if they dont go then Ill see who
offers most.

Sheffield Hallam University here in the UK do a couple. I did the 4
year BSc (Hons) Computing (Networks and Communications).
They also do an MSc in Enterprise Network Management with Novell, which
is web based although youd have to fly over for 3 weeks for tutorials
and exams.

The best advice I can give you though is read each question twice,
theres a lot of trick ones to put you off. Take some mints in to sit
back and suck if you feel yourself getting stressed - you have plenty of
time in there.

Has anyone had this problem on a piece of Cisco kit that wasnt a 2950, and
if so was it CatOS or IOS. Im wondering if its an IOS bug or that model
switch rather than a generic problem.
It would be interesting to see the behavior of a 6500 running CatOS and IOS
and see if the behavior is the same.
Distribute lists can have problems, and IIRC arent supported in all
configurations. Ive hit bugs using them with OSPF, so I tend to go with
route maps every time now.

Yes you can.
Route maps are your friend. You can specify a routemap on the end of the
"redistribute" command. As long as you block anything thats conflicting
(you could always NAT that) the stuff that doesnt conflict should be fine :)

with the IOS already loaded. I have no physical license etc.
Im told by Cisco and our supplier that this is fine, but Im sure I remember

Cisco used to sell Lan Extenders which did pretty much the same thing (model
numbers 1001 and 1002). They dont sell them any more but you could shop
around. They are based on the lan extension options in PPP so are
effectively a remote ethernet which you configure from the main router via
PPP.

Has anyone tried using the 2 and 5 gigabyte PCMCIA hard disks from Toshiba
on a 7500?
As far as I can see it should work, and it would be nice to have one uber
flash card will all of the possible IOS versions I want to play with, but
obviously I dont want to buy one and find out its useless.
