Two comments I would like to make.
1. Richard, the gateway of last resort IS on the same network as E0/0. The

Is it just a software upgrade to go
I am setting up a lab and using a Xyplex 1620 for a terminal console server.
I have gotten most of the settings figured out, but when I try to reload, I
answer no to the save config question, and when I press enter the Proceed
with reload? [confirm] question is automatically answered with ^@ and
I have a 2514 that is showing a DCE RS-449 cable when I enter show
controllers serial 1. Serial 0 correctly shows a DCE v.35. The far end of
the Serial 1 connection shows a DTE v.35. What should I look for when I
troubleshoot? Bent pins? IOS bug? Incorrect config? Thanks for the help.

At my last organization, we had someone who lied about their Microsoft
certification. We just called the number that you would call to check your
own status, told them what we suspected, and they verified it. Try that.
