Hello, Just set up basic Isdn b/w 2 routers using the default hdlc
encap and was working perfectly fine till I changed the encap to ppp,
ppp auth chap, ppp multilink and ppp chap hostname R7. Then it just

You can do it!!
Yes, there area moments when you feel that way...especially the first couple
of timesbut in the end you will come out a champ!!
When I started teaching the CCNA/NP a couple of years back, I too felt the
same initially, but personally, teaching has
and money to abandon the quest for CCIE now, but frankly, if I
hadn't invested as much as I have, I would most likely abandon the quest
in favor of broadening into other areas. I really don't see much market
value for the CCIE anymore, especially with Cisco hellbent on making it
a meatgrinding cash
Hello,Are there any implications of using the clns routing and clns
router isis cmd. when configuring isis? I know this is not needed and
only used for clns routing but I see numerous examples on CCO where they
have used this cmd. Does not hurt but in terms of the Lab, will I lose
points if I
Hello,Is there a way to simulate a multicast helper-map example with
Cisco routers (kind of an obvious stupid question) but thought I might
try :-)I know how to configure it on the appropriate routers but is there
a way to test??Thank you.Sincerely,CN
Hello,I am trying to use a distribute-list out serial 1 in
isis...basically blocking an Ospf route from being leaked into the Isis
domain. It lets me type in the commands but when I do a show run, the
commands are not there!! Why??On the neighboring isis router, I do not
even get an option to
or 2. l1/l2 connections. You can't
filter routes between two L1 routers. You prob shouldn't be able to type
the command if it doesn't work, but such is IOS.

Hello,
Is DVMRP covered at all in the new CCIE Lab?
Any other new/odd topics? Ex. MRM or PGM??
Thank you.
Sincerely,

on this list probably pooped their pants after reading CN's
message because of the NDA. :-)
Probably the most you'll get out of anyone is that it is possible that
DVMRP
is covered in the new CCIE lab because anything is fair game. Since the
Cisco IOS software supports PIM-to-DVMRP interaction
Hello,
Is there a rule of thumb on specifying the network commands in an Ospf FR
topology?
Ex. for netw. 10.10.10.1/24, would one specify under ospf:
#router ospf 1
#netw 10.10.10.0 0.0.0.255 area 0
OR
#router ospf 1
#netw 10.10.10.1 0.0.0.0 area 0
Which one??
Is the network specified or
