Was he trimmed regularly while barefoot? Sometimes people extend their trim
intervals when they take a horse barefoot.

I had a friend whose horse had uveitis, caused by Lepto. On the west coast.
They cured the Lepto and the uveitis never returned.
I have a girlfriend who has uveitis. Hers is probably a genetic
susceptibility as her mother has gut problems

I just found this little mention in a story about Big Brown's bloodtests.
Big Brown was pulled up by jockey Kent Desormeaux early in the stretch in
the Belmont. So far Dutrow has not come up with a physical reason for the
performance

Interesting. I would guess it is possible that his feet would improve with
a long time barefoot, but it is a struggle. We are going through it with
two of our QH that have been shod most of their lives.

This is the company I was talking about. I am pretty sure they are
economical, and the vans are much more comfortable than a regular
horsetrailer, especially in the heat. If you need help getting to Golden
