I have an Actiontec PCI modem the directions for installing it in Linux can
be found at www.actiontec.com/support/modems/cwifag.html . As long as yours
is a hardware based modem you should be able to install it the same way.
Another thing you should also check if you are using Kppp is the
'pgp -k' will give you a list of keyring options. You may want to go to
http://geheimnis.sourceforge.net/ and check out "Geheimnis" very nice graphicall
manager for all versions of pgp and gpg 1.0. Very nice.

manually start it each time...
the second time I did a complete clean reinstall of Linux 7.0 it found the
card and now it loads the drivers at boot up...

Try logging in as root and run "xscanimage". Does that work? If so, then

Rodrigoit is not the i486 iso image. The i486 iso image
is only available for download from Mandrake mirror sites.
Nobody has commercially burned the i486 iso image onto a CD.
The way you can tell if it's 486 is that is that all of the
rpms will have 486 as part of their file name. for
when its finished!

Not that I know of. However, on the Tucows.com site, go to the Linux
software section.
There is a section for KDE, then a category called IRC, where you will
find KVIRC.
This is a very cool program, that I love (especially after I figured out
how to change all the
