Yeah, here's an url to a little script that I just love. It checks to make
sure the nvidia drivers are loaded, and that you have edited your xf86config
file properly, but most importantly (and conveniently) checks for conflicting
mesa files.
http://mail.lokigames.com/~heimdall/nvidia
Just reinstall them (tarballs) and edit your xf86config-4 file again.
Anytime you change the kernel, you have to redo the nvidia drivers. They are
still compatible, or at least I've read they are (don't know from personal
experience).

I just went thru the same thing last week. Some nice gents from the expert
list told me to look in /etc/security/limits.conf and comment out the line
about fsize at the bottom.

DEAr Sir,
I have a curious problem. I loaded MKL7.2 on my system and was working
properly. It has two SCSI harddisks of 8GB each with AIC Adaptec 7896
adapter and twin PIII500 processors.
When I tried to load MKL 8.0 on the same it stops at loading aic7xxx and
nothing happens for a long time and
I don't know of one that needs to be upgraded, but there is one that needs to
be present. It requires libc5. libc5-1.0-2.i386.rpm is the one I use.
You can find it rpmfind.

I had a Ricoh RW9120A cdrw/dvd that was compatible with linux. However mine
only worked for like two days. I ended up having to send it back. Anyway,
the answer to your question is, yes it's compatible. (The dvd is the easy
part, just make a link from /dev/cdrom to /dev/dvd.)

open a
terminal and su to root and type mouseconfig, or you could type harddrake and
try get around in it with your arrow keys.
If you don't have a windows key, I imagine you could play around and some
combination will open the start menu.
