You can do a full install on XP Pro, and just AR Server (no mid-tier) on XP
Home. Done it many times. Unlicensed server holds up to 2k records per

I haven't taken the course but I like the install it on a test machine and pound-the-guts-out-of-the-system approach better before attending any training, if necessary, after researching the new features of a system you are already familiar with.. You learn more that way as yo
