I believe that Mr. Ellis, and others, have posted messages offering
"complete", ready-to-go, CCIE home labs for sale, but I've nev
ICs I have seen are about $300.
Most study guide labs I have seen expect 2500s or better and so they often
use 2 serial connections. 1600s have only one but include one WIC slot.
Any leads would be greatly appreciated.

I think you're tlking about pre-shared keys, the other option is to use
public and private keys with either an outside thrid party or a certificate
authority yourself.

interfaces but I haven't seen any documentation yet about wheather or not

No -- the security specialization (with one exam) ended in January sometime.
Now it's four exams. There are other CCNP specializations like VOIP, and
ATM that require only one exam that are still obtainable until May 14.

If you're studying for the written, strongly suggest Boson's #3 (written by
Dennis Laganiere), CramSession, and Dennis' paper on RIFs. All three we a
big help.

In any event, I have searched the CCO to no avail!! Does anyone have any

I found the Boson test #3 a big help, along with a lot of the CID material I
studied for my CCDP. Dennis Laganiere also has a good study guide, check it
out on Amazon.

many -- take it a piece or two at a time and you'll get there. $200/$300
mo. is a whole lot easier to absrob than all in one chunk. Also it can help
to sell the spouse (whether it be husband or wife!!).

Heads Up!!
Cisco just announced that they are going to a one-day lab effective October
1, 2001. Anyone who is already scheduled for the two-day lab keeps their
date. All others get a one-day lab. Thus, the scheduling dates for the lab
should open up! Hopefully!
