Hey folks... get a load of the cutest foal photo at Equine Solutions, in their
current photo contest. This little guy was only 7 hours old when this shot was
taken. Thanks to Fred and Lois Pack for the invitation to enter. We have three
beautiful GREY Colt
from her junior stallion.
Mama and baby boy are doing well and are resting. He was greeted into the
world by Anja Bakken (visiting from Norway) and Matthew Elias (our nephew
from California). We are all pleased and happy with our 5th foal of the
season.

HELLO,
I have a wonderful family that wants a weanling filly. I do not any at this
time that meets their needs. If you have a weanling filly that you are
considering selling, please contact me directly with more details on your
foal
the mares grass hay with a touch of alfalfa and mare and foal
grain. They also are on poor quality pasture and are let out onto a good
pasture for about two hours per day. Should I cut back on the mare's grain?
We only give the filly a touch of grain in our hands daily (probably under
1/8 cup). She

Some foal authorities believe that it is necessary for the foal to sample of
the mother's manure in order to introduce productive bacteria into the
foal's gut. I've seen it in print and could maybe locate
for the foal to gain the
flora that is necessary for it to process the solid foods it is beginning to
eat. And dogs love it to! LOL

at the same rate as the rest of the
foal. When the foal stopped moving out, the mare jumped up to allow me to
help. I straightened the leg and gently pulled the foal into my arms.
