Can I help you?
Wow! I thought that 500K was referring to the mileage on one of your cars.
There aren't too many 500K's around! What size engine does it have (500
mean 5.0 liter?).

That SEL sure is a pretty car -- wish my SD had an L on it.
Switch out the engine and Dieselize that SEL! Sounds fun!

They're both W126's, so everything will line up. I have SEL seats in my SD
right now. I want to find a later model SEL rear seat with headrests to put
into my '83 'SD. How many miles are on your 'SD?

PS. I would be interested in the door
It's official now, she's switched over to synthetic! The oil filter housing
studs are OK as are the o-rings on the tube. We're heading for 300K and
beyond! Next will be the valve adjustment once I find the stinking
wrenches! I'm noticing the slightest amount of reluctance to start since
Do they have the same SLS system as the Diesels? I've been toying with the
possibility of a 300TE at some point since the 300SD doesn't seat enough
people and still accommodate the doggie. Of course, I would like to stay
with the Diesel wagon, and the 'SD isn't going anywhere anytime soon
No interest, affiliation, etc.

Maybe it's good that I don't have the money to throw at this one.

I said fortunately, but I really meant unfortunately I didn't have the $2K
or possibly even $1800 to buy that car! I've heard so many good things
about the 300D 2.5.

Regular unleaded 3.09 premium 3.29 and diesel is 3.39.
That's only a few cents above what it's been here in Oregon for months now.
I think we have some of the highest fuel prices in the continental U.S.

Man, that's something I'd be all over if it was near me! From what I've
heard about these, I'd be willing to bet that it's either air leaks in the
fuel system or it needs a new IP (roosamaster SP? rotary style).
