CSRising to the Challenge?
Why hasn't Terri's list contribution stirred up some discussion? (See below if you missed it) Come on, you knowledgeable folk, why aren't you rising to the challenge? I bet Oprah would welcome doing a show on CS - it's such a controversial subject and Oprah loves controversy. If I wasn't such a green newcomer I'd rise! Oprah magazine a few days ago and found an interesting article. On page 143... Quack Alert (pictured next to a bottle of snake oil). This article addresses alternative, unproven and possible dangerous modalities for health treatment. In red letters ... Touts a treatment without studies which talks about CS. It goes on to says according to stories, its helped arthritics throw away their crutches and treated everything from acne to AIDS. Just when you thought it gets good.. theres that But... you can't be sure the people who were helped had any properly diagnosed problems says Ruth Kava, PhD, director of nutrition for the Amer. Council on Science and Health. She then says ...and of course the stories could be totally fabricated. Then it says Key C.S. into PubMed's database and instead of miraculous recoveries you'll find studies that associate longtime use of the solution to argyria, a condition that turns your skin gray - permanently. In with the CS article, they talk about Fat burning pills, magnets, ear candles, brain stiumlators, unethical pracitioners, chelations, ETC., and as they put it...other candidates for the Quack Hall of Fame. Oprah has a vast following, its a shame CS got such a bum rap. Maybe a few of the more CS knowledge gang on the list could forward their sites and the studies done by some of the universities to Oprahs website. Who knows, maybe they could stir up enough curiousity and get on an alternative show for Oprah! Terri L.

CSIons vs Particles
As a newcomer to the less-than-simple CS scene, I have been intrigued over the recent debating involving Messrs Quinto, Key, and Anderson - ions or particles - which are best in vivo? Perhaps there is another aspect that might alter the equation (including the solubility product equations Roger Altman has laid out for all). Just came across one web site promoting ionic silver http://www.feel21.com/cgi-bin/feel21/11221.html that claims the real key to long lived silver ions in the body is complexing, in their case with citrate (plus potassium; ie potassium citrate?). Perhaps that might equally effect biodelivery for particles as well. Any knowledgeable folks with an opinion? sincerely, Kevin Nolan

Kevin, No one we know of has done the research necessary to establish in-vivo efficacy of any silver product let alone comparatives between them. The product you mention is stabilized at a pH of 4.24 and is clear. [As you probably know, blood is 7.4]. When raised to pH7, to simulate the effect on it of absorption in the body, the silver content precipitates and appears to become a colloidal suspension with a broad range of particle sizes not dissimilar to HVAC silvers we have seen. The solubility issue is another matter. I meant to repond to Roger's post with the following: we've seen and worked with products from concentrations of 3ppm on the low side to 3,200ppm at the upper end -- the latter one of several formulations that range to 32,000ppm. RE: CSRising to the Challenge?
As much as I'd like to believe that theory, the FDA was formed due to public outcry because a company released a new cough syrup (late 1920s) with an ethylene glycol base. After several hundred people died what I imagine was a fairly horrible death, congress formed the FDA. Since then the pharms have learned to very effectively manipulate the system for their own ends. I remember reading somewhere that CS was approved in '36, as a proprietary solution. Thanks, Roger guess I did. But it is not so. We've got formulations based on our std 10ppm product of 23ppm 34ppm and higher -- all as might be characterized as ionic. The truth is no doubt more complex, ie. there is 'ionic' and there is 'ionic'. We're working at a level of scientific inquiry that is not fully understood. Re: CSMild Silver Protein
Filing a patent and getting one is two different animals. Anyone can put a patent pending sticker on something that's not already 'known' to be patented. It's a scare tactic and marketing hype that says, don't bother to copy this and we have something special. But it means nothing except that they are trying to figure out how to patent it...maybe...and have dibs on the first crack at it...if it's possible. The patent office isn't very good at discernment either. A competing company holds a patent on a product and used a very broad description that includes any magnetic stripe input and information processing by CPU with LCD readout. Does every credit card reader manufacturer owe them homage? No. Did they invent the process? No. If you have a computer, read a magnetic stripe and see the info on an LCD monitor, you are using that patent. The patent is worthless, yet it was granted. Further, the company that holds it knows it's worthless. If they sue for infringement, they will lose both the case and the patent. Also note how many patents exist for perpetual motion machines and the like that simply don't work. Even at concentrations which are significantly greater than dilute (16,000 PPM Ag+, for example), solubility product calculations are still reasonably accurate. Marshall I want to point out that there is a fine line between being aware of a possibility in order to protect ourselves, and giving more power to that possibility by thinking about it and fearing it. I propose that in our mind's eye we all see the terrorist tactics of Illuminati Co., including those of the Taliban AND our own prez, disintegrating. I remember a story about World War II, when a group of esoteric practitioners found out that Hitler planned to invade England. They met nightly, concentrating on the message: Your plan will fail; turn back, turn back. And as it turns out, Hitler never accomplished his objective. A story closer to home involves some people I know personally, all meditators, who live in the country in the western part of Massachusetts. Some years ago, an infestation of gypsy moths was killing a considerable number of trees. Well, these folks decided to meet weekly and meditate together and encircle their town with gold and white light. During the rest of the week, they did this imaging whenever it was convenient. Six months later one of these meditators was visited by a US Forest Service ranger. He had come to her property to examine her trees. It seems that in this town, the gypsy moth caterpillars were falling down dead from the trees in droves, while trees in the surrounding areas were still infested. The US Forest Service couldn't figure out why, and were trying to find out if there was something in the trees that was giving them immunity. I don't know if my friend ever told the ranger what was really going on. I suggeset that instead of speculating whether certain events REALLY were foretold by the Bible or Nostradamus or whomever, that we gather together our considerable psychic power and fend off these attacks. That guy who built Coral Castle, the builders of the pyramids, and other people who have done wondrous things--they didn't have any powers that we don't have. It's just that we're asleep. Re: CSIons vs Particles
Roger Stephen, There is a very great difference between making HVAC ARC with and without the CO2 blanket. When using the CO2 blanket the conductivity is generally around 100 tp 300 uS/cc and the NO3 is 2 to 4 PPM. Without the CO2 the conductivity hits 850+ uS/cc and the NO3 will have an initial reading of 2 to 4 PPM, but after about 24 hours the NO3 jumps up by about a factor of 10 !! The above applies to a DW with an initial conductivity of 0.25 =/- .05 uS/cc. I ran a batch yesterday with a DW that had an inital conductivity of 4.0 uS/cc. The initial NO3 was 3.9 ppm and today is 2.9 ppm. With the low conductivity the anion must be ozone and that oxidizes the NO2 to NO3. The Higher cond. DW has unknow impurities in it so some other complex was formed. In reading the add for Silver Spray 100 I noted that it is complexed with a citrate and potassium. Ole Bob

CSSore throat
Thank you people, for your concern and advice. My system is a 240V to 12V transformer resisted to a bit over 1 mA and I stir it with an old knitting needle bored out to fit the shaft on a 12V motor out of an old cassette player, that is resisted too, to slow it down a bit. The silver is 12 ga rods immersed 5 into 1/2 gallon 4 apart and I cook it for 1 1/2 hours. It is cloudy grey/white, but clears over a couple of days. It has been very effective on all the other ills the family has encountered, especially conjuctivitis (3 month old baby), misc. burns, (brilliant) cleared up chronic cough in 7 year old with neb. My five month old grandson had what looked like ringworm on his scalp, stopped that in its tracks, took about two weeks to completely clear it. My 9 year old grandson doesn't need puffer for asthma(??) any more. So all in all it really has been effective against all else except this mongrel of a sore throat. PS. No other symptoms, just the sore throat, so sore, I have had to resort to pain killers (panadeine forte) to cope with it. I am a heavy smoker/ coffee freak? CSRe: positive imaging
The method is called the Emotional Freedom Technique, an amazing bodymind system that intercepts negative reactions. After thousands of dollars in learning various techniques, this engineer named Gary Craig figured out an extremely simple way to eliminate PTSD, physical illnesses, emotional blocks, etc. The gist of the technique is that when we are negatively affected by physical or emotional trauma, the meridians of the body get electrically short-circuited. Gary figured out a way to re-connect the energetic pathways, and in so doing restore the system to its integrity BEFORE the trauma occurred. I use the word trauma very loosely here, to indicate ANYTHING that short-circuits the meridian integrity. It can be a wartime experience, sexual abuse, an illness, or the million and one thoughts and fears that plague us and prevent us from living to our full potential. The technique involves repeating certain phrases tailored to one's particular situation, while at the same time tapping certain meridian points on the body and in a few instances humming and counting. Gary is aware that this may sound quite hokey to some, and addresses people's fears and doubts every step of the way throughout the process. The manual is about 80 pages long. Once you learn the order of tapping and where to tap -- it took me only about an hour and a half -- you have it for life. Gary's manual is FREE FOR THE DOWNLOADING on the following URL address: http://www.emofree.com/freestuff.htmIf you can't access it this way, go to the general website at http://www.emofree.com/ , scroll to the bottom and click on FREE STUFF and get the manual that way. The manual is simple and direct, and easy to read. Gary is giving it away because he wants to get this healing modality out to as many people as possible. He does sell videotapes of the advanced technique, but it's not necessary to buy them in order to do preliminary work. With over 20 years experience doing various modalities of psychotherapy, I can say that this is an amazing, apparently lasting, and quick method of healing. -- The silver-list is a moderated forum for discussion of colloidal silver. RE: CSIons vs Particles
Ole Bob, That's a pretty good analysis. Lots of possible ionic complexes in the formulations! Stephen -Original Message- From: Robert Berger [mailto:bober...@swbell.net] Sent: Friday, September 28, 2001 4:13 PM To: silver-list@eskimo.com Subject: Re: CSIons vs Particles Roger Stephen, There is a very great difference between making HVAC ARC with and without the CO2 blanket. Ole Bob

CSTech. talk
Dear list... I've been lurking the past couple of months as time has allowed. And also messing with my home made CS generator [still no current control] [ Ken, would you post another schematic on your current control method [less the short] And if you will, draw it large and clear with part #'s and values of the components. I'm limited with webtv and the last one you posted, some time ago, was a bit ill defined for my capabilities.] Mike ... I'm with other listers that feel you are doing a fine job and also have no problem with, and feel I've learned a lot from the dialectic tech. dialog If nothing else other than how little I know, and perhaps also a mirror of how hateful I can get when I KNOW I'm RIGHTI AM THAT. larry tankersley; Gainesville,Florida USA -- The silver-list is a moderated forum for discussion of colloidal silver. Worst case? They leave the list and go elsewhere. Currently, I see very few messages being posted to the off-topic list. Why isn't this fine resource being utilized as it was meant to be? Ken, That is the proper attitude. It is amazing how subjects that were once over ones head hit you squarely in the face when you elevate yourself with a base of knowledge to stand on. I still don't understand why it is expected for me to use my delete key to remove off topic posts but totally unacceptable for non-technical listmembers to delete those posts that fly over their heads. Ole Bob, If you can keep your response friendly I suggest there's no reason not to post it to the entire list, or to the off topic list, and not just to me. After all the OT list was where that correspondence was to begin with. Perhaps others would be interested in your response as well.
