hear it was a good night to be de-motor-virginized.

between Moodymann,
early Theo Parrish and earlier Neworldaquarium output to my ears. The
standout track on the OMOA sampler is from Ayro, although all three are
excellent. I want more!!!

a similar feel to this, some is more straight-Detroit from the past, and
some hints at Tejada. Really excellent stuff!

mentioned here, if you have to limit your options, the top of your
list should be the Baby Ford (or was it Mark Broom???) remix of The Vinyard
by Terrace - on blue vinyl no less!!! I can't find the record to confirm.

This stuff segues from there into what I can only describe as slow
with loads of percussion, and at least a two minute
intro before the bass kicks if that helps at all.

to get into them.
Terrence Parker had a lot to do with explaining this for me. He plays a
cool version of it (possibly an accapella over another track) on the Summer
mix he had @ DEMF. Instant 313 connection.

noticing a really prominent focus on musicality
versus minimalism in 2001? I feel like people are putting a lot more effort
into writing music these days. It's really prominent in deep house, and
seems to be infecting everything else.

There's also the C2 remix of Innerzone Orchestra's People Make the World Go
Round, but I don't think that counts.
Oh, and whaddya think? Does Salsa Life count as a remix?

Anyone know the song playing at 1:44:00 in the new Seiji set @ the
Betalounge from 7/26/01?
Very nice set BTW. Very nice. The whole thing too, not just Seiji.

record
(dubplate I believe), that was drum 'n bass and co-produced by John Tejada.
Could be the same collaboration, or just a rumor?
