Sounds strange! Are the users on the 2924 on a different subnet? Perhaps it
is related to permissions for those clients? Or the installation of the
Winsock Proxy client? Would the LAT be incorrect due to any changes on the
LAN?

Why do you want to load C2500 IOS to a C2600 router?
IOS doesn't let you do this.
The flash was formated for C2600 already!

Why is an E1 route preferred over an E2 route for the same destination?
The cost of an E1 route is the sum of the external reported cost and the
internal cost used to reach that destination.
The cost of an E2 route is always the external cost, irrespective of the
internal cost to reach that

I don't know why, but I do know Cisco is revisiting that decision.

I don't know if you will ever receive the answer to "why". There is a
discussion of EIGRP vs OSPF in the Cisco Press book "EIGRP Network Design
Solutions" by Ivan Pepelnjak. ISBN 1578701651

Simplicity?? Less network traffic?
But I question your premise. EIGRP wouldn't send to a neighbor that wasn't
feasible, would it? Is EIGRP really more susceptible to black holes than
OSPF? M
have more than one error. So the
sum doesn't always work out.
Runts, collisions, and CRC errors that result from collisions are all normal
in shared (half dupex) Ethernet, especially under high traffic conditions.
The real question to figure out is why your Gigabit Ethernet ports are
running
As EIGRP only looks at incoming hello packets (EIGRP type 5 packets) to keep
a peer neighbor relationship up on a particular side of a routed link., this
can be a prime issue for "black hole" routing issues.
OSPF adjacencies are bi-directional. Makes more sense.

The "show int" is on the 4006 ports NOT the 3640.
