I need to monitor compost pile temperature and thought the above might
work. Wireless with a solar panel (and irrigation control) would be good
too. Hacking a GPIO pin or two, or a serial port might take some effort
so its lower on my vast todo list. I'll be interested if someone comes
up with som
pplication changes. If that happens, the
original PC should be cheap enough to not mind giving it to someone
else. Another pet peeve, the EMC2 PC should stay with the machine it is
intended to run. If you need a PC for another application, get another
PC.

saw that does make me nervous is the radial arm saw with its
self-energizing feed. A feed control might be an improvement, but so far
I've just tried to be extr

This page really needs to be updated, but might provide be a decent start.

e converter output that could sense when a machine is
turned on, then start the converter, switch in the high voltage, then
shut down when no load is sensed. My converter is close to the machine I
use it with, so I just turn it on and off as needed.
