That's a bug. You can't switch the Touch or Radio from mysqueezebox.com
to the local server using the web interface.

Do you really think you can hear a difference between well-encoded MP3s
and FLACs in a moving vehicle? A 4TB FLAC collection should fit on a

There's a fairly distinct difference between updating the server and
updating player firmware. The player firmware updates _look_ like
they're required to most people and the notifications often come (or
are noticed) at a time when someone is just getting reading to play
music.

Only the remote's buttons are rubberized. I'm sure you own other remotes

Could be an excessive CPU use issue due to a bug, but it also could be a
memory problem. Possibly from the Touch trying to process too large of
a list. Do you only see that level of CPU usage after you've used 'Find
a City'? What's the level if you _don't_ use it?

Are they FLAC files? Windows Media Player doesn't play FLAC natively.
I think there may be a plug available for WMP that does, but just
install Winamp and it should play them.
Have you placed the files in a directory where Squeezebox Server will
see them?

Most of the problems people have had with particular external drives are
with bus powered 2.5 drives where the Touch is unable to supply enough
power. That's a 3.5 drive with its own power supply, so it shouldn't
present a problem.
