Top 10

2001-04-20 Thread Myke Mitchell
Have to make a correction to my top ten, the Primevil record is by dan
simmers and is called 'Sharing Grooves' not 'The Groove'. And the seasons
record I bought was remixes of the 2nd Shift track by Freaks and Carter
(pretty sick!).

On a side note, kinda OT but does anyone have any info on a label called
Lask, I have the first record and it's pretty nice. Now to turn things back
to Tha'D, can anyone ID a track, the only place where I've heard it is on a
TrackMode record by Rick Wade (I'm pretty sure it's a Rick Wade track), it's
a double pack and the track it's in is called Rick Wades MegaMix, the only
way I can describe it is that it has this piano rift with effects that just
keep repeating the same chords except changing key every now and then,
really groovy track. Anyone have any idea's, I know the description is
kinda vague, but. any takers?? Thanks all...

New Tracks

2001-04-20 Thread Deliverator
Greetings All,

Please forgive my non-participation in the list lately. The work demon has
given me no peace :-).

However, I do have two new tracks to make up for my lack of participation.
The first is called Morticia, which is a slow and spooky track along the
lines of Hallucination LXV. The second I finished quite some time ago, but
haven't announced. It's called Foundation, and is a bit more dancefloor
oriented.

I would appreciate it if you could take a minute or 13, and check the new
tracks out.

Also, I now have a new website as mp3.com decided to charge a premium price
for slack ass service:

or

thanks!

Re: [313] tech-no at DEMF?

2001-04-20 Thread tofugirl

The thing about an arts or music festival is this: a festival has sponsors,
organisations big and small. Some sponsor the festival because they want
their brand associated with a cultural event, some just want to support it
for what it is. Festival programs are chosen by festival director/s, not by
sponsors. Artists may indicate their availability and their desire to
attend, but ultimately inclusion in an arts festival program is by
invitation only.

As with most other arts festivals of merit there are those that
agree/disagree with the program and creative direction. There will always be
dissatisfied parties. I don't think this particular situtation you have
described should be labeled a 'diss' - it sounds like the promoter in this
case has misread the situation. Sponsors are *not* entitled to
co-directorship of the program. This is distinctly different to a
conference, for example.

I think it is wise for the organisers to refrain from entering into these
kind of partnerships, no matter who is proposing them. Like everybody else I
have my wish list of performers who haven't been invited (Dan Curtin just
for one example) - good news is that those who are fans of the djs being
discussed in this thread will see them at the afterparty. I don't see how it
would be possible to represent every act or dj who is 'good'. The list goes
on and on, there are many contributors along the way. What is offered at
DEMF is just a slice of that. Like it or not, as creative director, Carl
Craig gets to choose what slice we see. That's what a festival is all
about..

tofugirl

I believe there was some offer of sponsoring a stage as part of the
package as well. So much for total diversity as a bunch of seriously pro
 level techno gets dissed!

I am sure he would be familar to a point, but I can't imagine that he has
everything Marco ever did. Think about it: those guys are cool, and I
support them, but do they fit into the tradition that the DEMF is supposed
to represent? I would so much prefer to see the original guys from Detroit
who broke this sound at a DEMF and who haven't really been represented, with
the excepion of Basic Channel from Germany. The festival should have its own
identity not be a Sonar 2 (and believe me I would love to go to Sonar).

Anyway, I understood that Marco and Christian were going to be in town -
check out Christian's web site.

Cheers

I guess, that Carl Craig didn't know who Marco Carola was??? The US booking
contact for Marco told me that they offered Carola and some other well know
swedish-type techno artists and Carl Craig was not familiar.

err really? maybe flip the script bud. being flamed is one thing, being
humiliated is another, and it shouldn't be tolerated anywhere, especially
when it's for the sake of differening points, constructive criticism is
fine, but to shout someone because you think different is oh so
different. i've been on this list for close to 7 years now, and how many
times have I been flamed, hmm.. maybe twice, humiliated - never. If you've
been flamed so many times over a short period, that would identify to me
that your ideas are the ones that don't align.

On my part I apologise for not thinking out my post or expressing myself
clearly on that occasion. I was trying to put another point of view - or put
something in another context. I personally enjoy the other viewpoints on the
list, even when and if I don't agree with them, it helps me get a sense of
the bigger picture or even re-think my opinions, which is healthy for me. I
was raised to respect other viewpoints and backgrounds and I do try to be
relatavistic most of the time (OK, except when Moby comes up) and veer away
from anything personal - I think that is key.

I want to be very clear on the fact that I am very happy and excited about
the DEMF line-up and very much looking forward to it. It was not my
intention to criticise it in any way. I understand the concept and respect
it. I also enjoy many of the artists who may not be on the DEMF whose names
come up.

Sometime this weekend I will offer a detailed post with some new release
info to make up for the inadvertently vacuous content of this.

It's all good Chris. Hopefully we have a new respect and understanding of
where we are coming from now, corny as that sounds.

Apologies to all once again.

first mixer is fernando grasso

2001-04-20 Thread Jay Cee
Well it just happens that the pioneer died a few days ago...so I'll FW this
info about the first mixer

Francis Grasso, a pioneering club disc jockey credited with first mixing
records together in the late 1960's by matching their rhythms, was found
dead on March 23 at his home in Brooklyn. He was 52.

The cause is unknown, pending results of an autopsy.

Mr. Grasso was born in Brooklyn and, at an early age, discovered a talent
for music, playing drums, guitar and saxophone. After he was injured in a
motorcycle accident, a doctor told him that dancing would be a good form of
physical therapy and soon he was a fixture on the Manhattan club scene.

In 1968 at a Central Park club called Salvation 2, Mr. Grasso went behind
the turntables for the first time when the club manager asked him to fill in
for the house D.J., who was ill. Soon, Mr. Grasso had the job.

With an understanding of the psychology of the dance floor, he slowly began
to retool the job of the D.J. As he saw it, his job wasn't simply to play
records, it was to keep the crowd on the dance floor. The best way to do
that was to make one song seem to stretch on forever, without a break. This
helped create the notion of the disc jockey as artist and live remixer.
Working with two seven- inch singles, at first he would start a new song on
the same beat that ended the previous song (by holding the record still as
the turntable spun below it, a technique known as slip- cueing).

Later, he began matching the beats of records, trying to keep two songs
playing simultaneously for as long as possible, which was an extremely
difficult task since most turntables then lacked conveniences like pitch
control.

One of his best-known tactics was his simultaneous playing of
percussion-heavy songs, like Chicago Transit Authority's I'm a Man, with
sexually charged vocals, like Led Zeppelin's Whole Lotta Love,
anticipating the rise of disco.

Mr. Grasso developed and refined many of these techniques when he moved his
headquarters to Sanctuary, a hedonistic club in Hell's Kitchen, and presided
over the dance floor there until it was closed by city authorities in 1972.

In 1971 the movie Klute featured a scene with Mr. Grasso working at the
Sanctuary. When the club closed, he worked as a D.J. off and on until 1981,
when he left the profession for good and found a job working in
construction.

Fatboy Slim, or Moby?

Actually, I wouldn't mind getting a critical review of Cook from this
list. It seems the main problem with Moby is that he has ripped off
every black artist to have ever existed by sampling some gospel, but
Cook (to my limited knowledge of his repetoire) has only ripped off Jim
and whoever did that Rockefeller Skank sample, and I don't think either
are black.

So can someone here gimme a critical reason why Fatboy is horrid, aside

Lekebusch is better as Mr. James Barth and his early

quite good, not his current I want to be Adam Beyer style,

what? i personally don't really buy that many drumcodes and maybe a few
more of the hp 12's but i do hear them all through the shop and lekebusch
sounds like beyer like mills sounds like hawtin, don't just group these guys

, but other than that the repetitive -
mechanical, beyer, carolla, parisio thing had it's day I think... back to
emotion, expression, and innovation I say Look at the number of
Drumcodes in comparison to the number of planet E, or axis, or KMS
releases
over the past four years It was all a get rich quick scheme, not
art...
The parisio ART records are pretty good though...

the parisio art records are very good, you obviously haven't been listening
to carola's question stuff? and check out ante-zenit obviously a get rich
quick scheme with all of 300 copies of each release.

planet e, axis, kms totally different kinda thing, they are music made to
last.
i think even the swedes would admit most of what they do is designed purely
for the harder dancefloor pure and simple and they work.

and does all music have to be art, personally i'd rather be on the floor at

surrounded by sweaty teenage girls than stood near the bar discussing the
merits
of using obscure 70's disco samples on the latest planet e release,

 2. T-1000 Good DJ, not playing the DEMF unfortunately... Oh well,

please can we, the cd is alright but nothing special, loads of swedish style
club trax mixed one after the other, hardly art.

Not another Moby Thread? Anyway, I'll put my 2 pence worth into this one,
I'm sure I'll regret it

Moby writes pleasant to listen to pop tunes. The are not ground breaking
and they're not Techno. They're easy to pick up, and easy to put down and
probably won't change your life due to listening to them.

Fat Boy Slim makes dreadful music that sounds about 8 years old. He uses
old samples from breakbeat records and does totally nothing to them. He's
also so full of himself in magazine interviews and always seems to be the
voice of dance music over here. He really gets on my t*ts.

I have nothing against sampling, so long as something creative is done with
it. I cannot stand this arguement about white artists not sampling black
artists because it's a total load of racist c---.

Thomas Barnett ( Visillusion Rec.) advanced the cause

labels, Transmat, with Derrick May. Not long after
Barnett began making music, he hooked up with May at
Detroit's legendary club, The Music Institute. The two
recorded Nude Photo, which launched the record

He continued recording while there, and upon his

I guess Thomas Edison could be credited as being the first DJ. Basically
anyone who's played tracks after tracks with 2 turntables in the '20s, '30s
or '40s can be that first person, but I believe Grasso was the first to
actually beat-mix 2 records, as

Kool Herc took the toasting tradition (from Jamaica) to U.S., and thus
influenced the rapping culture familiar with the black population in the

Underground Committee Update/Mike Grant/Larry Heard

2001-04-20 Thread Javier Drada
Underground Committee has had a facelift:
Maybe you have already noticed, maybe you haven't, but Underground Committee
went through some reconstruction. We have also added eight new archvives
along with the new site design. Please take the time to enjoy our exquisite
selection of Deep Underground Grooves. In addition we also have some news
from Mike Grant owner of Moods Grooves as well as some Larry Heard
updates. As always thank you for your support:

Mike Grant head of Detroit's Moods Grooves records returns to his Black
Noise guise (recording previously on Metroplex) for the launch of his new
techno based label End to End records. This time working with another
Kalamazoo resident, Therapy. End to End combines the best motor city funk
with the soulful synth work that the D is renowned for. End to End seeks to
be the most consistent label out of Detroit in a while. Who said Detroit
doesn't make techno any more?
Young Gifted Black Following the socially conscious title Young Gifted
Black begins and concludes with a sample of social commentary lending the
track a serious edge. The introductory speech segues into funky broken
percussion and a central, intricate synth line. Influenced by the minimalism
of Rob Hood and the hi-tech funk of Underground Resistance, filters and
synth washes carry the track to a melodic crescendo.

The driving bass beats and muted hi-end arrangements of Smoke Mirrors plow
through dynamic rhythmic configurations. A murky, minimal synth lines slowly
oscillates and shifts adding texture and building energy. Avoiding techno
clichés Smoke Mirrors is a potent combination of world wide techno
influences filtered through Detroit sensibilities - powerful enough to
pummel any dance floor into submission.

Scan 7 doesn't just say they are from Detroit they show it as they come back
to the root with a new homegrown EP. Entitled Home Soil on Detroit's
brand new End to End records it features mixes by Black Noise.
The EP shows the many sides of the group starting with the rolling bass line
and the energetic pace of How 'Bout Me; raw dance floor techno. Atmospheric
deep techno describes Evasive Maneuvers, as a looming bass and strings give
the track a haunted aspect. Finally, the journey is completed by the chord
stabs and building synth lines from the darkness of Chosen Solitude.
End to End 001 - Black Noise - Step into the Darkness
End to End 002 - Scan 7- Home Soil

I sure hope not, NYC people just don't know how to party so it would be a
wash.(and i'm talking born here NY'ers) Nobody knows having a good time
better than midwesterners. I could see Chicago.

Actually I have heard a lot of talk about Chicago, although on a smaller
scale, doing a festival or their own this summer.

RE: [313] DEMF article on Carol Marvin

I find it really unfortunate that nowhere in that article does it mention
the efforts of Tim Price + Co.a major major figure in the development
of the DEMF.

Fat Boy Slim makes dreadful music that sounds about 8 years
  old. He uses
old samples from breakbeat records and does totally nothing
  to them. He's
also so full of himself in magazine interviews and always
  seems to be the
voice of dance music over here. He really gets on my t*ts.

A dutch magazine asked him once how his new album gonna sound like and
when
it would be released. He seriously answered: I don't know that yet, i have
to wait what the Chemical Brothers will do, i just copy their sound.

Yeah well as long as he is happy with it...

 [EMAIL PROTECTED]

I sense some strong sarcasm in Fat Boy Slim's statement there. Kind of
ripping on his own genre of music. Or, in a way, he is greatly crdeiting
Chem Bros calling them a leader in a world that all sounds the same as a
lot of non-electronica lovers might say. just my thoughts =)

Re: [313] Live shows...

2001-04-20 Thread george . jones
I just got a laptop yesterday (one of our older models here at work)
and I've been thinking of ways to make it more interesting to use in a
live show. I think what I'm going to end up doing is using the laptop as
the master clock for whatever gear I'm using and also to provide a touch of
sequencing and automated patch changes. Everything else will be on me. Drum
pattern changes/augmentation will be done on the fly, playing a bassline or
two will be done live (some of the time, I can let the pc take over after a
while so I can do other stuff), programming effects can be done live from a
control surface of some kind, ect., ect...

Maybe it's just me, but I feel like what I DO up there is just as
important as what come out of the speakers while I'm standing there.

i agree with the coment below...been thinking about this thing for quite
i while, what is live and what is less live?

i don?t mind people that use laptops, but as for me, i can?t see people
paying
X bucks to see me play live with a mouse and a computer. and belive me, the
thoght
has crossed my mind, while i?ve been breaking my back and my gear, carrying
them
around airports. it would be so nice to just have one piece of equipment
that you
could take with you on the plane. but the only thing is that i?m not sure
how people
would appriciate it and how fun i would have sitting infront of a laptop
and
clicking
away... i got an mpc because i was sick of looking into a monitor while
playing/producing
music.

dunno, feel like an rockmusician that would claim that playing techno live
or producing
it isn?t actually playing music...it?s so ignorant and i hate myself for
thinking that
way, and when reading rythm droids comments, it just reminds me that the
music is the
important thing to listen to but i can?t help thinking of the
entertaining
part of a live performance to. i would love to have people just carrying on
dancing during a live-set, but usually, everyone?s just end up
standing/moving infront of the stage as if it was a rock-concert.

X2 - Wednesday April 25th

2001-04-20 Thread Myke Mitchell

Begin Transmission from Militia Headquarters/

After seeing the effects of the 'puppet-masters' on our unsuspecting
Brethren, the Militia have decided to take the experiment to the next and
logical stage - implementation. The Militia have been working with a band
of scientists in your area who call themselves 1 TRAK. This group of
scientists will be the first to implement stage one of operation 'Renewal'.
This will consist of a sonic bombardment with specially constructed rhythms
which will proceed to reshape the neural pathways of the participants in
such a way as to prevent the implant (implanted at birth by the
'puppet-masters') from controlling the thought process. This in turn will
empower the participants with 'free-will'. Stage 1 will begin on Wednesday
April 25th at the designated portal - Times Square [35 King St.N - Waterloo,
Ontario, Canada]. Donations of $5 are required, this is for RD for stage
2. It's the Militia's goal to free the minds of sonically advanced
individuals thereby regaining the hi-jacked audio channels talked about in
an earlier transmission. Once these channels have been taken back, stage 2
will begin. Now the proposed schedule for delivery of the sonic
reconstruction:

10pm - Wren [1 TRAK]
11pm - Colin [1 TRAK]
12:30 - Michigan Myke [1 TRAK]

More to come from headquarters..

/end transmission.

art vs. get rich quick scheme

2001-04-20 Thread David Bitterman
ok. First let me say that just because you don't personally understand or
vibe with harder or experimental techno styles doesn't mean it's a get rich
quick scheme. These artists have become quite adept at manipulating dance
floor experiences, and by and large they are DJs. Nothing wrong with
understanding your own experience on the floor and learning to manipulate
that experience for your own/ others enjoyment.

Second of all, I work with this music as well as listen to it (and have
worked with acoustic music as well), and I can tell you that if I analyze
their music against any other form of electronic music, the amount of
innovation vs. preexisting structure, the amount of uniqueness in the
productions, the amount of personality expressed, is all very much equal.
There are melodies, basslines, drum structures, synth and sonic experiments,
interest in new computer editing techniques, and just all over a balls-y
group that wanted to warp their mind against speaker stacks world over. Just
cause you don't understand or vibe with this more stripped down, minimal or
experimental approach doesn't make it a get rich quick scheme.

Third, I'd imagine you probably like a lot of disco house, or what some may
call deep house (I like genuinely deep house). Ripping of a disco sample,
transposing it, filtering it, and dropping it over a dance beat, then having
someone come into the studio and play a sax solo over it is NOT innovation
and is much more of a get rich quick scheme, in my opinion (and no, it's not
all of a sudden different cause you have a big name).

Let all of this stand to say that there is a wealth of diversity in today's
electronic music scene, and many of us will vibe with different aspects of
it. Just cause you don't understand something or like it doesn't make it
cheap. Otherwise you would be the one my friend, and I'm sure you won't
make that claim! My point in bringing up the Swedes was just that I was
personally dissapointed that they were not playing. Not that it's an
injustice that they weren't included in the DEMF. Sorry for any
misunderstandings. -

 Greetings All,

Please forgive my non-participation in the list lately. The work demon

However, I do have two new tracks to make up for my lack of participation.
The first is called Morticia, which is a slow and spooky track along the
lines of Hallucination LXV. The second I finished quite some time ago,
but
haven't announced. It's called Foundation, and is a bit more dancefloor
 oriented.

I would appreciate it if you could take a minute or 13, and check the new
 tracks out.

Also, I now have a new website as mp3.com decided to charge a premium

Here's my review of it (http://www.toastmag.com/24/rev_04.html#rev14):

Various Artists
Sun Runners
(ism Records)
New York's DJ Swingsett showcases some previously unreleased tunes from his,
and J.Warrin's, ism Records. Sun Runners is an eclectic mix of sambas, East
Coast jazz/funk/house blends, floor rumbling drum bass, fresh breakbeat
excursions, Japanese Koto music, and dub that would drive the Mad Professor
crazy. No, you didn't read it wrong I did list Japanese Koto music. That
would happen to be Vida Blue by Beatboxes at Dawn. It's a weave of big and
mental boom-boom beats and the gentle court music of Japan and it's that
kind of stick-your-neck-out approach that makes the ism Record label a hot
spot for innovation. Wally Swinsett's Dropera pushes the beats into
weirdness until you think it's almost lost the plot, then they drop a big
ol' bassline in and it just jells into funky chunks. Dub tracks, like
Motopsyco and Cassien's Water Tree, are used to dunk listeners deeper into
the mix. Actually, it's difficult to call any one track dub, house, or
breakbeat. DJ Swingsett and J. Warrin have made it their purpose to break
out of the mental walls that confine creativity, exploration, and good
music. With ism Records, we've got plenty of good music in our future.

and thanks for the good review! I have a few tracks on SUNRUNNERS as Duermo,
and I'm proud to be on ism. Swingsett and J Warrin - the label
heads - are two of the most musically forward thinking people I know, and I
think it reflects in the label's output. Watch out, cuz NYC's
coming with the new stuff in a big way.

 peace,
 Jorge

That party was probably thrown by ism records (ism/Esho Thursdays 121
St.Marks Place near Ave. A)... check out their new CD Sun Runners mixed by
DJ Swingsett. Very cool mix of deep house sounds, freestyle breaks, dub.
Here's my review of it (http://www.toastmag.com/24/rev_04.html#rev14):

 Various Artists
 Sun Runners
 (ism Records)
New York's DJ Swingsett showcases some previously unreleased tunes from
 his,
and J.Warrin's, ism Records.
It's a weave of big
 and
mental boom-boom beats and the gentle court music of Japan and it's that
kind of stick-your-neck-out approach that makes the ism Record label a hot
spot for innovation. Wally Swinsett's Dropera pushes the beats into
weirdness until you think it's almost lost the plot, then they drop a big
ol' bassline in and it just jells into funky chunks. Dub tracks, like
Motopsyco and Cassien's Water Tree, are used to dunk listeners deeper
 into
the mix. Actually, it's difficult to call any one track dub, house, or
breakbeat. DJ Swingsett and J. Warrin have made it their purpose to break
out of the mental walls that confine creativity, exploration, and good
music. With ism Records, we've got plenty of good music in our future.

Checked out Kirk Di Giorgio last night in NYC. He was playing a small
loungy party called ism, I believe. My man was rippin' it with deep,
eclectic housey flavors. He even dropped the lovely Burning by Pepe
 Braddock... Respect.

Nice to see some quality music in NY. The nightlife gets pretty dry here.

electro/disco song on Malcolm in the Middle

2001-04-20 Thread nuf si
Does anyone know the name of the electro song that was played in
the episode of Malcolm in the Middle (Fox TV) where Malcolm's dad
teaches Malcolm how to rollerskate?

I know electro pops up here once in a while and Malcolm in the Middle
was mentioned at least once on 313, so I hope I'm not too off-topic...

Why I'm Not Going To DEMF (Autechre)

2001-04-20 Thread Totally 2 Step
Dear 313 Friends-

I'm afraid I will not be at DEMF this year. As a matter of fact, I am now
officially boycotting it and will no longer support Carl Craig, planet E, the
Ford Motor Company, or any other individual or association helping sponsor or
organize the DEMF.

The reason for my seemingly radical stance is that Autechre will be playing.
Now, until recently, I was a very big fan of theirs, however the controversy
cam ewith the release of their new album Cornfield. Now, being raised in the
heartland of america, the Midwest as it were, I have a strong afinity for
cornfields and the earth below them. When I first heard that the title for the
new album would be Cornfield I was very excited, Finally I thought,
Autechre will be focusing on the needs and unique experiences of the farmer!
However, after several close listens, I realized that this was not the case at
all, in fact, Autechre seem to be expliting and misappropriating farm scene
culture and ideas to make money.

As a matter of fact, Autechre's bastardization of the agricultural scene is on
par with Puff Daddy's exploitation of Grand Master Flash's The Message. Both
of these scam artists took something good and significant and recontextualized
them them into heinous consumer based exchange entities. I'm sure Sean and
Rob(ber) were sitting in their studio one day, and said Hey, in the US they
have a strong farmer community. I bet if we made an album that appealed to
them, we could make loads of cash.

It is this mentality that has infected almost each and every great movement:
Rock'n'Roll, Disco, Hip-Hop, Rave, and Agriculture. And ultimately caused their
downfall. I refuse to see the farm scene, which I consider myself and active
member of, get corrupted and commercialized by a bunch of Englishmen... WHO
AREN'T EVEN FARMERS!! This is just unacceptable.

And that is why you won't see me at DEMF this year.

Keep it real,

(OT) Music as Mathematics?

2001-04-20 Thread Matthew Gerbasi
This may not be the best list for this, but I know many people on here could
answer it.

I am quite adept in math, but find it hard to apply it to music.

How do Algorythms go into creating sequences???

what are some other ways to compare music to math

thanks

a strong afinity for cornfields and the earth below them. When I first
heard that the title for the new album would be Cornfield I was very
excited, Finally I thought, Autechre will be focusing on the needs and
unique experiences of the farmer! However, after several close listens, I
realized that this was not the case at all, in fact, Autechre seem to be
expliting and misappropriating farm scene culture and ideas to make
money.

As a matter of fact, Autechre's bastardization of the agricultural scene is
on par with Puff Daddy's exploitation of Grand Master Flash's The
Message. Both of these scam artists took something good and significant
and recontextualized them them into heinous consumer based exchange
entities. I'm sure Sean and Rob(ber) were sitting in their studio one day,
and said Hey, in the US they have a strong farmer community. I bet if we
made an album that appealed to them, we could make loads of cash.

It is this mentality that has infected almost each and every great
movement: Rock'n'Roll, Disco, Hip-Hop, Rave, and Agriculture. And
ultimately caused their downfall. I refuse to see the farm scene, which I
consider myself and active member of, get corrupted and commercialized by a
bunch of Englishmen... WHO AREN'T EVEN FARMERS!! This is just unacceptable.

And that is why you won't see me at DEMF this year.

Keep it real,

(OT) MUSIC AS MATHEMATICS

2001-04-20 Thread Matthew Gerbasi
This may not be the best list for this, but I know many people on here could
answer it.

I am quite adept in math, but find it hard to apply it to music.

How do Algorythms go into creating sequences???

what are some other ways to compare music to math

thanks
mg
