[JAWS-Users] Want to leave the unread left on emails

2016-01-21 Thread Kurt Miller
Hi all,

I just got my email set up to outlook 2010 and would like to have the unread
message left on the emails that I have not read yet. Now when I pass over 1,
the unread message goes away.

I changed this on my old system but that has been a couple years ago and do
not remember how to change it.

All help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Kurt

Re: [JAWS-Users] Windows 10 Startup Sounds

2016-01-10 Thread Kurt Miller
George,
I'm sure that the sarcasm didn't help answer his question. What does it
matter why he wants the sounds, he's asking for how to get them, not how you
have yours set up.
Sorry David if this is inappropriate but can't they just answer the
questions people ask and not criticize someone's preferences?

Hi,
Window + X, is another content menu command.
The option that Kevin mention is only a power option menu near the bottom of
the drop down list.

disabling the quickstart is the wrong thing to do My Pc starts up up faster
with the quick start enable, Does the windows sound really matter?
I don't care, if the sound was a choo choo train going through a tunnel!

Hi Steven,
In w-10, when you do a restart of your computer, all windows sounds work
correctly.
When you do a shut down and then a start up, your computer comes on by way
of the quick start feature in w-10.
There are no windows sounds because you are not starting your system from a
cold start.
You are starting your system from a w-10 image file that was saved when you
shut down your computer.
This allows your computer to start up in about 10 seconds.
This is one of the advantages of w-10, it's quick start up time.
Yes, if you disable the quick start, you will get the traditional windows
start up sounds.
Because at that point you will be doing a cold start up, then your wait time
will be any where from 30 to 60 seconds, depending on your computer.
The new w-10 quick start is a combination of the Hibernation mode and sleep
modes combined.
I have used this quick start for about five months now, no negative impact
on Jaws at all.
Your computer is shut down, no heat or activity at all from your tower.
Simply press the power button to quick start your w-10 computer.
Your computer resumes in about 10 seconds, you are on the password or pin
log-in screen.
So, just to repeat, using the quick start in w-10 does not negatively impact
Jaws.
You are just quickly starting up your w-10 computer.
By turning off the quick start feature in w-10.
You will have a much longer start up time, and yes, the windows start up
sounds will be heard.
So, finally, this is a personal preference, no right or wrong way to have
the quick start on or off in w-10.
Personally, I have always used the w-10 quick start, this is a great time
saver when you wish to quickly get on your computer.
Again, this quick start feature does not impact Jaws in the least.
The only thing you get by turning quick start off is a longer start up time,
and the windows sounds.
So, I hope this helps you to understand the w-10 quick start feature a
little better.

Love God! with your heart, mind, and soul, that you might be blessed
reaching His goal.
Love your Neighbor as you would yourself, God will truly reward you with
good health.
Love God, your neighbor, as you love yourself, you will then be spiritually
balanced with wealth.
Love His Word that proceeds from His lips, then reflect on the heavens where
God sits.

Steven,

Only way I know is to check the box to enable start up sounds and disable
the quick start. Other than this, you will get the startup sound when
restarting but not from a cold boot.

[JAWS-Users] Issue with favorites in Win 10

2016-01-04 Thread Kurt Miller
Hi All,

I set up a new computer that has Win 10 and I switched the browser to IE but
when I put things into my favorites list and go to access them it is opening
in Edge. I know this is happening because my bank is not yet set up to be
used with Edge and if I go to the run dialog and go to my bank that way it
will open with IE but if I go to favorites and try to access it it tells me
that it is not compatible and I need to choose another browser other than
Edge.

I double checked my defaults and it is showing that IE is my browser. Does
anyone have any suggestions?

Thank you,

Kurt

yes, as I heard from another ml, it uses Windows Home 32 bit and you most
likely would want to use a Bluetooth or USB keyboard. it also provides 1 USB
3.0 and 1 USB 2.0 port as well as a HDMI.

Well it sure has been an interesting monster of a year we have all just
survived.

Never the less with the new year looming we all hope for bigger and better
things from the computer world. Don't know if we'll get them but we can
hope.

Right now we have just over 660 subscribers on here which is not far off of
our all time high although that number escapes me at the moment, maybe 670
or 675 somewhere around there.

Some of you might have noticed that I took an extended leave of absence this
summer. If you didn't that is because Rick and Bob filled any gap left by my
not being available.

There was a medical emergency in the family that required my complete
attention and the good thing is life is back to what passes for normal
around here, he says that last with tongue in cheek.

So far 2016 looks promising at the moment for the list moving forward. Keep
your keyboards crossed that things stay stable.

The shift f10 does not work, adding the fn key to it does not work either.
The f keys are working in action mode so I will be either going into the

need to know how to shut off the mouse pad.
Thanks again to all and Happy New Year.

Curt,

HP has re-mapped the function keys.
Usually, just to the right of the lefthand control-key is a Func key. You
need to press that in conjunction woith one of the functionkeys f1-f12 to
get it to do the traditional function. Otherwise, you are in what HP calls
ActionKey mode.

Generally, you can return the HP to function like normal:

This "amazing" technology is called "Action Keys Mode", and the good news is
that it is very easily turned off to get your laptop back to working the
standard way of having to press the fn key.

Steps to fix:
- Shut Down your computer completely. Don't put in Sleep or Hibernate
- Press Power button to start
- Immediately press F10 key a few times
- This will start the BIOS
- Go to 3rd page (System Configuration). Press right arrow key to go to next
page
- Select the "Action Keys Mode". Press ENTER. Select DISABLE
- Save and Exit

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Getting the applications key working on new HP laptop

Hi all,

Just purchased a new HP laptop with no applications key. I tried the
function key and the f10 for the applications but still nothing happened, in
fact nothing is happening. I want to change the way the function key works
anyway because it is easier to use JAWS when the function key is for the
volume and tracks and the f keys are for what they normally should be. Can
anyone give pointers as to why I can't get anything to happen with the f
keys?

Thanks for any help.

NO,
TRY THIS:
This will work in any mailbox in-box, sent-box etc etc.
1. Press ctrl+shift+the letter "f"=advance-find.
2. Tab three times=from:edit.
3. Type in a sender's first or last name (Mike B(Smile) 4. Press enter.
5. Press the f6key and you are put into the list of messages by the sender
you searched for.
6. If you open a message to read it, press escape once to close it. Then
move to the next one to read.
7. If you open a message to read and do not wish to read any more, press
escape twice and you are placed back in to the original location were the
search was started. This means if you were in the in-box when starting the
search, pressing escape twice will return you back to the in-box. Pressing
escape once will only return you to the list of messages found in the
search.

Re: [JAWS-Users] if you are not ready for windows 10 beware of windows update

2015-12-06 Thread Kurt Miller
I agree. 2 of the Win 10 computers in the house we had to go and find the
drivers for the printer.
I have upgraded 1 of my computers and the other 1 I am not for various
reasons, it's my choose to do so or not.
This thread is going on forever. It's simple Microsoft wants everyone on 10
and is going to push it on you unless you change your settings and get rid
of it. Some use it and it is fine and some don't want to use it. I hope we
can end this argument about it soon. We all know what's going to or could
happen if we don't change update settings. Microsoft shouldn't be pushing it
but they are and we can't do anything about that.
There are many reasons that one may not want to upgrade and so let them make
their own decision.

Not necessarily. When I first connected my Samsung laser printer to my
current Windows 7 PC, the OS could not find compatible drivers for it. This
printer worked fine with my XP PC. So I had to visit the Samsung downloads
site to find Wimdows 7 drivers for my printer. You cannot assume that the
OS will always detect compatible drivers for your peripheral devices.

Enough of all this bickering, I'm sick of reading all of these messages

If a person wants to upgrade or not it is their choice. The list is for

Kurt,

This is more likely something in your user verbosity settings or your web
browser settings, that has changed. You might want to compare between your
previous version of JAWS and JAWS 17 to figure out what's different.

Re: [JAWS-Users] Upgraded to 17, now all stored emails are gone

2015-11-28 Thread Kurt Miller
I am using gmail attached to Outlook. I did notice that the very last person
that I emailed is showing up if I press the tab key but the list of people
are not there if I use first letter navigation and then the down arrow to
get to the particular one that I am looking for, the way it used to be.

the messages should still be in your web server whatever web emailer you use
like yahoo, gmail etc.
if you are using outlook from any version of ms office it's just a desktop
email client.

Hi list,

I just upgraded to 17 and all the emails that Outlook saves in the
background are gone. Is there any way of getting these back or am I just
going to have to find them all out again? Why would upgrading mess with this
stuff, Outlook is not a JAWS product. My spelling suggestions in my spell
check are not spelling them out or giving me all the options that were there
before.

Thanks for any help.

Re: [JAWS-Users] wireless keyboard

2015-11-27 Thread Kurt Miller
The purpose of the fn key is to change the command that you are using with the
f keys across the top. With a laptop your volume controls and your play and
stop and next track and so on are used there also. No you can't change the fn
keys function.

there are the function keys across the top as well. What purpose is that key?

I have some very good and detailed instructions for creating ring tones
which I can send you off-list, if you would like. Just let me know.

As for your question, and I am going from memory here so beware ...

If you put focus on the track you want to turn into a tone then press the
context key, there's an option for get info or something like that. There
are several tabs under that selection and the one you want is called
something like options. In there you find some checkboxes for start time and
end time along with the default values. You'll have to tab around play to
get what you want but it's there.

Sorry I can't be more exact, but I'm not on the computer where I have iTunes
installed.

Leasey can be used up to restarting your computer 14 times. He even said
that if you never restart your computer that you could use it forever. Now
we all know that is not possible but you can try it for a while free.

Andy, I don't begrudge him charging either, but it seems to me that it ought
to be ossible to test the scripts or run as a demo for a while before
parting with cash.

Hi all,

I have had Win 10 on a desktop now for almost 2 months. I have tried every
way possible that I can think of to get Live mail on it with my g mail
account attached to it. This computer was freshly cleaned out before 10 and
I am trying to get it all put together like my laptop so that I can start

If someone could give directions before I throw this thing out the window it

Hi Tom,
To answer your question. Yes, Jaws 16 works very well with IE9.
May I asked why you don't want to update to IE11? If you are running XP you
can only run up to IE9 but if you are using W7, 8.0,8.1, or W10 you can use
IE11 which is the latest version.

In all the years I've used JAWS, it's never been set up to allow channeling
to a single side. Appears to be a purely monaural signal fed to the sound
driver.

I use a Plantronics headset specifically designed for this need. Left side
is telephone plus boom mike, right side is sound card output. They also sell
a sound card dongle designed to work with this splitting.

I did that with a piece of custom hardware when I was working. One of the
field engineers made a splitter box for me. It had two inputs on one side
and one output on the other side. The box was a plastic box about a little
smaller than a cigarette package. Inside the wires from the sound card went
to one side of the stereo jack for the headphones. The phone wires went to
the other side along with the transceiver for the mike. At the time the cost
was about $9 for the parts. If you know any ham radio operators they should
be able to make one for you very easy. Also some of your computer support
technicians may also be able to make the box. I retired in 1999 and about 2
years ago while cleaning up I tossed it. I had not needed it since I retired
and then a few weeks ago I really could have used it when on the phone with
an Apple support tech.

I was wondering if there is a way to force jaws to only play in the left or

could set at least jaws to only come to one ear and then I can set the phone
calls to be heard in the other ear. I have a very hard time listening to
jaws and the phone through the same ear.

My annoyance is that some of these messages read the subject line and stop,

Re: [JAWS-Users] Wondering if I am still on or nothing is happening.

2015-11-13 Thread Kurt Miller
David,
Thank you for clarifying this. As the leader of the group, I understand that
they are your rules and they need to be followed. I just wish that people
would do what they are to do and not make the rest of us suffer because they
cannot understand and follow them.
The guidelines are what they are and if they don't like them, well too bad.

Have a great day everyone and can't wait for more valuable information to
come through here.

The list was turned off for 24 hours or so by me personally.

Obviously it is on again with normal delivery. Somebody was disputing my
enforcing of the guidelines yesterday so I decided to make a point.

Sorry for any inconvenience for those of you who follow the guidelines.

Hi all,
Yesterday, I sent all of you a Drop Box link to a tutorial that I did on
Google Chrome. I am not sure it got through, because I just read that the
list was shut down. This is an hour tutorial that goes over all the basics
of Chrome like browsing, downloading and saving files, saving pages in
different formats, and I take you through all of the options in the Chrome
menu. I hope you learn and try Chrome, because it is very fast, great when
streaming, and it is more accessible than it has ever been. Here is the
link. Just enter on the link, and a page will come up. Arrow down to almost
the bottom of the page, and enter on the download link and you can save it
to your computer. Here is the link.

Can someone navigate to http://www.tri-cityherald.com/

Every time I'm on the page, after reading it for a while jaws freezes, then
eventually I hear recover this webpage, and close.

I always have to f6 several times, or a screen refresh to start reading
again.

It's just this site and no other webpage.

I'm just wondering if it is me, or will any other jaws user will experience
the same as myself.

I invite you to read an article and not just the homepage to see if jaws
will be freezing for you.

If someone can use jaws 16 and ie 11 to test this out that would be great as
I am not using firefox nor do I have jaws 17. I have the preview handlers
not showing, and the preview pane is off, which has been for a while now but
that is not the solution commonly suggested for IE issues like this.

I've put up with it for about a month now but it's driving me bonkers lol.
I wonder what's causing it to freeze?

Thank you for anyone who can tell me why it's freezing

Scripts are code, that is going to tell jaws how to read, or work on
specific situations. Situations like when you press a keystroke, or when a
program start. The scripts are going to do something that is going to
perform a result. For example, when you press insert F12, this keystroke
activate a script, and it just tell jaws to read the time.

You are quite correct that scripts most certainly right on topic. Also if I
might say it does my heart some good to hear that somebody has not only read
the guidelines once you reviewed them for a second time.

Scripts are small programs that assist in making things like your email
client more screen reader friendly. They might almost be compared to a macro
if you have ever heard of such a thing in either your word processor of
choice or a spreadsheet like Excel.

For example I have written scripts that by simply hitting a single keystroke
I bring up a menu that gives me choices of going to MSConfig or my master
volume control. In short they are for the purpose of making our lives easier
when they work correctly of course.

I have always wanted the chance and of course the ability to become a better
script writer and who knows maybe some fine day that will happen. Another
example might be when you hit the key command to change your voice profiles
in JAWS, you are actually running a script that FS has provided for us by
default.

Since I trained years ago as a COBOL programmer I have always liked that
kind of thing. Browse the web site for some offerings I have up there for
folks to download. I also have a few audio tutorials available on the
subject.

Hello all. I posted on this on Friday night, but no one responded
initially-so I'm reposting this to the list.

I am setting up a Facebook page for a group I'm involved with and have some
questions. I need to know how to change the Category of the site from
Community Organization to something else. There seems to be a link to do
this under Page Info, but the link to edit this information won't activate.
I'm having the same thing happen under contact info and can't edit our
mailing address information accessibly at this point. If no one on this list
can answer my questions, I'd like a referral to another list or Facebook
group that possibly can.

I looked at the information from Freedom Scientific, but their Facebook
Webinar is 4 years old and only covers the basics of using Facebook, not
setting up or managing a page.

I am using JAWS 17with both Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox with Smart
Navigation set to Controls / Tables. I initially started creating the page
with JAWS 16 and had similar issues.

Any help or resources would be greatly appreciated.

I have tried will open one of them. Possibly I do not know what I am doing,
but this has been my experience on the web site. I love the outlook.com

I would rather pull my hair out, one by one then use a web based email
service.
None of them come close to a simple email client.
Even though I can not stand Outlook, I would happily use it before using a
web based email service.
Yes, I have tried Outlook.com, it was OK, through my email client.
Using it on the web, I had too do to much, jumping around and switching Web
pages, wasted a lot of time, much faster with a email client.
If you are away from home, I guess you could make it work OK.
But for a blind person to use the web based services as their primary
email,LOL. Pull out my nose hairs as well.Ouch.

I have never had this happen, does anyone know what is going on here? I need

how to get it to her.

Howdy Bro,

Yes, I read that but, what I'm trying to get are the key commands that Jaws
reads to you when you press, Insert + spacebar, to open Research It then
after pressing Insert + spacebar, you press the question mark keystroke,
shift + slash. I screwed up, as usual, in my initial post what the correct
keystroke is I'm invoking. So, if you press the keystrokes mentioned above
Jaws will read a list of shortcut key commands you use to perform specific
searches. For example; Insert + Spacebar, then press the letter, C, to
open the clipboard text viewer, is 1 of the key commands mentioned in this
list. In a nutshell, I want to get a copy of the list that comes up when
you press, Insert + Spacebar, then press, Shift + slash. This list of
keystrokes is what I can't find nor can I copy from the window after
invoking the keystrokes. When I virtualize this particular window I get
didley squat. I sure hope I haven't totally confused you & all the list

For a quick overview, see Research It On the Fly, or continue reading the

a lookup source and the Results Viewer to find information, whether it is
the meaning of a word, your local weather forecast, top news stories, sports
scores, directions to and information about a local business, and more.
Using just a few keystrokes, you can launch Research It from any application

[JAWS-Users] Trying to get computer ready for Win 10

2015-10-12 Thread Kurt Miller
Hi All,

I am trying to get a Win 7 desktop ready for Win 10. There isn't anything
except JAWS and my anti-virus on it. I do not have Outlook with my Gmail
account connected to it, there is nothing at this point. I would like to set
up my Gmail to Windows Live, if possible so that I can get to all the links
that I need too for the upgrade process. This is an extra computer and would
like to upgrade it and start learning 10 before going there with my main
laptop.

Could someone help with this if possible? If you don't want to clog up the
list you can contact me off list at millerb...@gmail.com

Thanks in advance for any help. Have a great day.

[JAWS-Users] Outlook 2010 saying click here to show images

2015-10-01 Thread Kurt Miller
Hi,

In my Outlook 2010, when I open an email it will tell me that for your
privacy Outlook has blocked images and click here to get them. Now normally
I don't need images but in these emails, to get the links to open for the
specials they are offering I need to display these images. Does one know how
to achieve this task? I tried to rout JAWS to pc and go to the top of the
message, when doing this I find the area to click, and I used the left mouse
click with the caps lock 8 in laptop mode but when I did this it sent my
Outlook to the Outlook data files and did nothing. I had to do a system
restore to get my Outlook back to giving me emails again.

If anyone has some advice on this, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

Kurt

I want to thank all of you that responded to my ignorance of ITunes. I have
been able to accomplish getting the songs from the cd's to iTunes and
playing on my phone.

You guys are very knowledgeable and I hope that this list never goes
anywhere.

Thanks again, you are all awesome!

ITunes didn't make me move to another state. Ha-ha

If I may jump in here, this is the rub to me at least. Programs will work
the same since they are meant to operate on top of Windows no matter what
version is under the hood so to speak. So for example Gold Wave will work
the same on 10 as it does on 7 in my experience at least.

I'm willing to bet that iTunes will function the same.

moving songs or books*mp3* to phone via itunes:

There are some parts of this I haven't completely figured out yet,
such as creating a play list and putting music into just that list, but I
can try and give you some steps on getting music from your PC to your phone.

First of all you will need to have Itunes installed on your PC.

Assuming you already have the music you want to add to your Iphone on your
PC somewhere, you will need to find that music and copy it to the clipboard.

You can do individual files or an entire folder.

Now go to your Itunes folder on your PC. For Windows 7 that folder is
located on the C drive, then users, then your folder for your data. Mine is
just called Denny, but it will depend on what your's is set up as. It could
be owner, your name or even something entirely different.

Next go to My music, then to, ITunes, then to ITune Media.

Here you will find a folder called, automatically add to ITunes.

Open that folder and then paste the content of the clipboard here.

You will notice that the songs you paste here will disappear and don't
worry, they are supposed to.

You can go back and copy more into this folder as many times as you want,
just don't put more in here than your phone can handle.

Next you will want to open ITunes from the desk top.

Give it a few minutes to load everything and your will hear a tone of some
sort when it is finished.

There may be some keyboard commands to accomplish these next steps quicker,
but I'm not sure what they are.

Begin pressing your tab key until you hear, IPhone.

Just before this will be, songs, Albums, Artists, genres and play lists.

When you get to IPhone press your spacebar and it should say your phone
name. Mine says, Denny's IPhone.

Start tabbing again and you should hear, summary, checked. Keep tabbing
until you hear, music and press your spacebar to check it.

Start tabbing again and you will eventually hear, sync entire music library
and most likely it will be checked.

Keep tabbing until you hear, sync button.

Before you get to the sync button you will hear some check boxes that will
say include music videos and voice memos. I just leave these unchecked.

You will also hear, audio and the amount of audio you have such as 2.2 gig
or whatever. You'll also hear photos, apps and other. You will also hear
how much free space you have on your phone.

The next time you press your tab key it should say, sync button. Press your
spacebar and it will begin moving your music to your IPhone.

Depending on how much music you are moving, it may take a while.

When you hear the tone that it is finished tab to the done button and press
your spacebar.

There may be a better way of doing this but it's the only way I know of.

You can also put your ring tones on this way. Just select tones instead of
music.

Just remember that the ring tones need to be in m4r format and not mp3.
They also need to be no more than 30 seconds in length.

I don't have time to be reading hundreds of emails from a lot of lists,

JAWS definitely is. I'm finding that a lot are focused on one specific area

this after almost 10 years. Thanks for saying that it has benefitted you in
your learning experience.

Honestly we sometimes get tired and consider hanging it up which one day I'm
sure we will. Is it going to be this year, well that has not been confirmed
yet.

Quite a number of other people are starting their own lists, to me that kind
of means no single one is as important as it just becomes another face in
the crowd so to speak.

Never the less thank you again for saying we have benefitted you.

Are you trying to automatically import music, or manually.

If manualy, from memory, do CTRL o for open, shift tab twice, look for your
songs and press enter and they will be placed where they are suppose to go.

At least that is how I do it.

Kevin,

Would this be right after boot up, or at any time? Sometimes, JAWS was stalling
on me shortly after it restarts after log in, and I have discovered that it was
because of other items starting up at the same time from the start up options
in Task manager. Once I had disabled some of the unnecessary items there, JAWS
stopped doing this.
This has happened at times other than start up when a program has tried to
update itself. The automatic updates for software like Adobe and some others
that appear in the start up options can really cause JAWS to go berserk.

Hi Kurt,

For Word (all recent versions I think) press control plus shift plus f. That
will take you to the Font dialog box. You'll land in the list of fonts.
Arrow down or use first letter navigation to select the font you want to
make the default font. Press ALT plus D to activate the make default button.
Then tab to okay button. This will affect all new documents, not current
ones. Hope that's what you wanted.

Not sure about Excel 2010 because I don't have it. In Excel 2013 you go to
Options and look in the General category for the title When creating new
workbooks. There is a box called Use This Font where you can set the font.
If you need more detailed instructions let me know. But like I say I don't
have 2010 and never used it.

Tom, You can open the Home tab and shift tab upwards 13 times or until you
find "Cells group box, Format..." and press enter on this. You will be given
the option to either type in a number for the height of the cell, or to Auto
fit the sell height. The Column width is here a as well along with some
other cell formatting stuff. Hope this helpx.

For those that are wondering what the virtual cursor is / does, the Virtual

The Virtual PC Cursor - HTML Environment The virtual PC Cursor mimics the
functions of the PC Cursor, but is activated by default when entering an
HTML document. The virtual PC Cursor speaks the number of frames in a
document, and the number of links in the frame. You can switch between
frames, and JAWS reads graphics labeled by alt tags in the HTML code.

 Hi,
It is my understanding that you'll be notified of its availability but
it won't automatically install. If someone reserves a copy they have a
year to install it. As such it would stand to reason that it wouldn't
automatically install on the first day as then there'd be no reason
for the one year window. I think confusion stems from the fact that
many outlets have reported that updates for windows 10 I.E. once
windows 10 is installed will become automatic for home users but the
update to windows 10 itself is not automatically installed. I hope
this serves to clarify rather than muddy the waters.

 in the bottom-left corner.
To quickly find KB3035583, you can sort by name. Once you've located
 it, right-click and choose Uninstall.
When you select to uninstall this update, you'll be asked to confirm
and then you will need to restart your computer.
Once your computer restarts, the GWX.EXE and its associated GWXUX.EXE
applications will be removed and the system tray icon and resulting
 dialog will go away permanently.

 If the Icon Returns
Some readers have noted that KB3035583 returns if you don't hide it.
If you have Windows updates set to download and install automatically,
this means that if you uninstall this update, it will be reinstalled
 automatically a few days later.
To hide the KB3035583 update and prevent it from being reinstalled,
right-click on it in the Windows Update application and select Hide
 update.
After, the update's selection box will be grayed out and cannot be
checked.
From hereon, the update will be hidden whenever you reopen Windows
Update unless you decide to restore it.
